Cap is backkkkk! ♡ This one really surprised me with it's espionage-type tone, the screen time given to other characters, the fake-outs and the final showdown. Loved the awesome action sequences, the music and of course the characters! I've heard this one is a favorite for many, is it one of your favs? Really looking forward to Guardians next time!👍

Jen Murray

Thanks for your patience on this ♡

Ian

This is one of my favourites without question really looking forward to checking this one out when I get time , darts tonight so no time today but I already know your reaction will be epic Jen 🔥🔥 you're going to love guardians of the galaxy it's friggin great 🙂

Dylan

One of the best superhero films ever made. Edge-of-your-seat entertainment. So many twists. The entire MCU really ramps it up a notch beginning with this movie.

Dylan

This movie works so well because it’s not a superhero film. It’s a spy thriller… With superheroes.

Michael Tuffin

I'll do this rewatch after work. It was one of my favorite MCU flicks.

ooo im hyped we are on the up ramp at this point for sure, cant believe you have not reacted to these yet. a seasoned, well versed elder reactor such as yourself. still amazed at this watch along magic, we still have code language titles so im a bit confused how its possible? there are def people here who do not care and will just play the movie in the reaction, which is killer for my hard drive space in these days of ai memory prices, but it worries me. they dont use youtube like you though. Does this site just not really care? Is it not trafficked enough? I am just not understanding how it is okay on there, but on the Patreon service (with the built-in videoing) it is not good and you are presumably worried about having an issue using that?

Darryl Low

This is a really great movie Jen. Definitely has a 70s thriller tone to the way it was shot and with all it's twists and turns. Excited to watch it again with you 😊 Loved watching your reaction tonight Jen. It's a movie that packs it all into the runtime and it never really flags at all. Thanks for another awesome Marvel video today. Really looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy. It's probably the MCU movie that I have watched the most out of all of them. It's a lot of fun, the soundtrack is epic and it just hits you in the feels 😊

Curran Dobbs

This is one of the better MCU movies (and MCU has quite a few good ones). Guardians of the Galaxy is another fav of mine.

Mastervodo

So looking forward to this one! Glad we could watch this one with you Jen! Definitely it will do better than Thor Dark World numbers.

Banes

Damn - no time to watch this before work. It'll be nice to kick back with it tonight! Yeah, this movie was surprising in its tone and approach. So cool! I liked the more serious tone; this one really raised the bar - although I liked the first Captain America too, and like it more each time I've seen it.

JPDotCom23

It's huge because this was the first movie writers Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeely and directors Joe & Anthony Russo teamed up together. They'll end up doing the best 'Captain America' movies and the 'Avengers' movies as well.

Over50Gamer

Not a problem Jen! I'm on the road taking care of getting myself ready to fly next couple of months, but I'm gonna relax with lunch and this afterwards!

PJAvenger

Def an S Tier MCU outing. How I wish Jen would get into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd wager 3 tribbles that she would like it.

Lean

Great movie, great reaction, as always. The "burned" guy at the end was Rumlow (not a spoiler). He fought with Sam (Falcon) at the end.

Lean

Was wondering that myself :)

Markus W.

This is still my favorite MCU and the one I've rewatched the most! I feel similar to what you said, it's not just a great comic book movie, it's just a great movie in itself. The burned guy was the lead soldier dude who got smooshed by the helicarrier at the end, you could recognize him by the crossed bandoliers over hist chest (or whatever that outfit was). I think his codename in the comics is Crossbones.

Jason Scade

Yeah, GotG surpassed all my expectations. I'm not in love. ♥

Markus W.

Good things come to those who wait! 😊 I saw that you posted it, and dropped what I had planned to watch for the evening right away (rewatching Babylon 5 Season 4, so the people who know the show, that it's high praise 😅) Great reaction and aside from that, that sweater / robe thingy looked extremely comfy!

Michael Tuffin

Next comes GOG! If Jen goes in order

Brian Straight

This one is great for many reasons, the story itself is fairly typical "spy"-level one (like the Bourne movies) that uses the superhero and comic-book mechanism to give it a different spark. It's probably is one of the better ones in the Infinity Stone Saga. Really, all of the Captain America movies are pretty strong.

Collinson

This is a great film but I can't wait for Guardians as it's my favourite.

Collinson

The French bad guy is actually a Canadian legendary MMA two weight champion called Georges St-Pierre(GSP for short.)

Damon Corrigan

I forgot the "Kiss me once and kiss me twice" song in Cap's apartment. Set me off a little.

NYG316

Absolutely one of the best Marvel films! Guardians of the Galaxy next? I loved that one too! 👍🏻

Over50Gamer

This of course is an amazing movie and arguably one of the best of the MCU. Glad to watch it with you, Jen. The burned guy they had in the hospital is Rumlow, the guy fighting with Sam Wilson before the helicarrier collided with the building. Check out the soundtrack sometime; it's beautiful and hits hard in some places. My comment on DS9's "Paradise Lost" pertained to this movie, where the price of freedom isn't just soldiers dying, but it's also about letting people be free in spite of the danger that may be within the population. As Cap said, pointing to the Insight helicarriers, "This isn't freedom; it's fear!"

Opti_Frog

Not my favourite Marvel movie, and not my favourite Captain America movie. But damn it's good, and a huge step up from The First Avenger. I especially like the interplay and chemistry between Natasha and Rogers, the 70s inspired paranoia thriller atmosphere and the score. Omg, the score. Quite possibly the best score for any Marvel move ever.

Opti_Frog

She'd friggin' love it!

JPDotCom23

The burned guy was Brock, the head of the goon squad

Banes

Finally finishing the watch. Holy crumbs, this movie is better every time I see it. Epic!

Dean

This is easily one of my favorite MCU movies. I’m wracking my brain trying to think ahead to figure out if there will be an MCU movie that Jen won’t enjoy and going by her taste that I’m aware of, I don’t think there is. There’s definitely a few she’ll like less, but overall I think her positive energy will find some good even in the ones the audience wasn’t as fond of.

Kevin Sommerfield

In case you needed any more clarification on who Brock, the burned guy, was: He was the guy who fought Sam (Falcon) in the tower before it was hit by one of the helicarriers and Sam had to jump out the window.

Liam Nissan

I really wish GSP was in more movies.. Dude's a stone cold badass..

Mayan Luevano

That scene were Captain America escapes from Shield HQ is still one of the best action scenes in the franchise, I remember in theater the second Rogers landed with the stars and stripes facing the camera got a roaring round of applause, it was an amazing moment.

Jeff H

Would enjoy watching you play Hitman. Have you thought of using Twitch?

Jen Murray

Would love to someday if I have more time!

Carlos Stevens

wow... 2014... 12 years ago... feels like it just came out only a few years ago.

Carlos Stevens

Jen, I can tell you who the twins are if you want the spoiler. Those who read the comic books when all this was going on already knew, so it's not really a spoiler. But I won't tell you unless you confirm.

Carlos Stevens

Wait... THAT Brock??? as in from Spiderman?

JPDotCom23

No, not the same Brock

Thadman

You said you wonder if other Avengers will show up in the individuals' movies. Assume no. Once people see a crossover, they start asking why the others aren't showing up to help. I never thought like that because I read comics and when you're reading a Spider-Man comic, you don't expect Captain America to show up (or any other case like that) because the comic is about the one hero and you just wonder "How are they gonna figure this out?" You wouldn't really respect the individual heroes (and you don't get to focus on how cool they are) if they couldn't handle their own problems without other heroes helping them out all the time. So, assume no about other heroes showing up and if any ever do, it'll be a nice surprise. 😁

Jen Murray

If it is something I will learn in the movies please don't tell me anything

Michael B.

Yeah. Brock Rumlow. The veteran HYDRA-Agent that fought Cap in the elevator and later Falcon hand-to-hand. The shot showed that he survived the helicarrier crash and suggests that he will return later.

Jim Kolden

The burned guy at the end was Rumlow, the leader of the SHIELD Strike team that was secretly Hydra. He and Falcon fought inside the Triskellion when the helicarrier crashed into the building. Falcon escaped, Rumlow was trapped in the burning wreakage.

Bobby Coolbreeze

For me this movie is a masterpiece. IMO this is the best solo marvel movie if not the best one period! Political thriller at its finest. Reminds me of a lot of the 70’s political thriller films. Robert Redford actually starred in one called The 3 Days of the Condor (1975). This movie felt very grounded in reality which also makes it unique for a Marvel film. The soundtrack is fantastic. I highly recommend especially for you since you have orchestra music background. This is obviously my favorite marvel movie!

Stephen Dias

As soon as I saw Danny Pudi, I realized that the Russo brothers directed this one.

Stu Reacts

Just catching up on all the Marvel stuff, Jen would totally love Agents of SHIELD
