I don't think it is that horrible of a spoiler, and I assume they did it as a way to get people interested in what would happen next so that they could sell more of the manga since I don't believe they knew that they would get a season two.

Zero Three

Shame about the previous version of the video. anyhow like I mentioned before. There wasn't a guarantee that there would be a 2nd season of slime so to entice people to read the Light Novel they introduced Black, which is quite a popular character in the series. In the episode the demons called Progenitors is referred to as Primordials in future episodes, just letting you know in case as it can be a bit confusing when they jump terminology here and there.

Fern

The spoiler was added as a tactic to attract people to buy the source material if the show happened to never be slated for another season (like many anime titles), which was clever marketing-wise. But the show turned out to be a hit, and is now almost guaranteed to be adapted fully, so something like this didn't happen another time.

Dethrox

wait.. is the video different then before ?

Dethrox

aah then thats the case of messed up timeline aswell then.. :/ honestly still quite weird :D havent seen much.. promoting light novels in animated version :D one would guess it should be the other way around

Dethrox

It was pretty subtle.. :D but guess who were those 2 at the beggining which one of them summoned the Demon ''Kuro'' ? :/

Esplight

It was Shizu's mask that damaged Kuro's arm, if he actually wanted to kill her he probably could of done it extremely easily.

Dethrox

my little issue with the mask is the ''infinity'' never came back again even if in rimuru possesion.. all we knew is that its block magic perception.. more so there are more masks and we know nothing about these aswell :D but that may be spoilers i guess so i dont wana pry more or look for answers on google :P

Void Star

ain't the name a spoiler tho? It's noir the black progenitor, nevermind/ignore the other name Niela... 👀*sigh*

LolLolowaty

these pair of legendary adventurers who discovered who truly ruled kingdom? My guess, didn't read manga

LolLolowaty

Didn't watch for a long time, so I may be mistaken, but Primordials/Progenitors are considered strong enough to fight demon lords in even fight (and maybe even won), so picture Black who is that much strong AND receive a name, making him even stronger

The Force

I think part of that is cause the original mask was technically destroyed when Ifrit broke free. Rimuru replicates it from the remains with the capabilities he has at that time. Appraisal may have just not been able to appraise the whole capability of the mask from the fragmenrs/at it's strength then.

As I mentioned in my other comment, definitely stick to release order. Some episodes and movies are basically side-stories set in the past, but the writers always add commentary about current events and drop spoilers at the last minute. Even though this episode was released in the correct sequence, it's a good example of that - it spends most of the episode in the past, then hits you with spoilers at the end. If you watch in release order, you won't encounter spoilers anymore.

I just noticed some terrible translations there... for example, "by making us believe there is a demon here, you hoped to build cooperation among us" is a total mistranlsation of the opposite: he says "by making us believe there are demons among us, you are making sure it's impossible for us to cooperate with each other". I understand it when subbing changes a sentence to make more sense in English, but this is litterally a mistake that shouldn't appear when you're watching from paid official sources.... I guess dubs are written better since it's proofread many times before English voice actors record the lines. Some of these "subs" are terrible.

Pat Yamate

"Pass them off as demons" should be "make them offerings to demons". "Because they can kill lesser demons" should be "because you made lesser demons inhabit their bodies"... "That mask showed up again" should be "It's surprising that the mask got fissured" ... Dude heard "arawareru" (appear) instead of "wareru" (shatter or get a dent/fissure). Damn, whoever translated this OVA is either an intern learning Japanese or needs to be laid off. PS: Neila : "I'm so glad the Silver Wings are still alive".... Well, it's the guys at the beginning who summoned Kuro so they're kinda not really doing well :p

George McCall

Noir and Millim are my 2 favorite characters of slime :D

ableDarkrider

She has watched in release order, this came out as the last episode of season one. I might be misunderstanding your comment, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

Crissware

There were comments suggesting Neila react by watching in chronological order. I'm just saying it's easier and spoiler free to watch in release order.

As someone else mentioned, it's the mask that ripped Kuro's arm when he hit it. Had he hit Shizu in the chest she'd be big ripperinos. Shizu mentioned her magic being depleted, which is why she lost so bad to the Archdemon, but she and Ifrit are quite powerful. That's why Kuro said he was excited that someone was strong enough to even make him feel "a bit of pain" when she blast him with her flame.

Neila Reacts~

i mean, as a viewer i wouldnt really notice these mistakes at all so i m not that bothered by it as long as i get the concept of what s going on. i dont speak japanese so i wouldnt know

Neila Reacts~

ohhh i need to see more of Noir, his design is really cool!

ableDarkrider

Oh, I hadn't noticed those comments. I agree that it is ridiculous to watch in chronological order for a first watch through. Expect for Smile Diaries which I think you should watch before season two, the only spoiler in it would be the one new character that it shows, but I hardly consider it a bad spoiler since you learn everything that you see in Slime Diaries on the character's first appearance in the show.

Saiden

It's an extra side story written by FUZE for the anime. Mostly for LN readers, since they didn't know if Slime would get further seasons at the time.
