btw don't know if you caught on to the hints but the guy at 12:19 is clementines older brother. as they mentioned a few minutes later about one of them leaving the heros path, and clementine claimed to be hero level. not to mention the resemblance is uncanny.

there are no figures of the theocracy unfortunatly

Butterflies usually mean "change or transformation" here it symbolizes how both Kings were affected by the other and grew with this encounter. The prince learnt that he wasn't caring enough for its people, and Ainz finally met what a leader is and admire that.

Yuririn [ユリリン]

Thank you for the reaction Neila! "I hope he doesn't die" literally seconds before the foolish nobles came to kill him was an amazing timing lol The prince was probably the only royalty fit to be on the throne and he earned Ainz's respect in just one meeting. It's a shame that he died, but I loved how pissed off Ainz was because of that.

Crawlingchaos03

A moment of Silence for our future king. Now the, what to do with those nobles... ooo so many things. No worries, we all believe that Those bastards would get the worst hell on their world. Ainz said "Burry him with respect". That means no eat or use him for anything.

Zanac would have became a great king if not for those nobles. Though you can't really blame people , when fear takes over your heart , reason and morality isn't there anymore.

Love how you were vibing with Ains's thinking here. Your reactions were priceless 🤣 it is the arc of the Prince and just how it effects Ains that hits here and so many people dont understand Ains when he deadpans his acceptance of the nobles but you get it. Nodders. He really pissed and completely checks out of this "war" leaving it to the guardians to crush the army because the corrupt leaders killed the 1st ruler Ains connected with on an emotional level. Some he looked up to as what a ruler should be. Because to him he is still fumbling his way trying to make all his npc "children " happy and lead them as he thinks they deserve.

I'm sure that guy did unload pretty well in the other room

I find really funny how Ainz always end up making things right without actually knowing what's happening. It reminds me to Cid, from The Eminence in the Shadow.

The Force

"If I can make those close to me happy I don't care what happens to anyone else" Is not actually a terrible thought process, the problem is when Ainz adds the 'if the only way to make those I love happy is to cause suffering to others would you tell them to give up on that?' because that's where it goes into cruelty. As you said everybody thinks like that to some degree. You care most about your own friends, family, and direct community than somebody in the next town over, and them you probably care more about then somebody in another country. Hell one of the first things people will often learn in therapy is to focus on fixing themselves because until you can care for yourself you can't care for others. Same goes for society. Focus on your local community and expand outward as resource allows. I'm not gonna get into the nitty gritty, cause somebody will make it political and I don't wanna start that here, but this has become extremely confused and misinterpreted as cruelty or apathy in our modern world for a whole number of reasons. Ultimately if everyone focuses on doing the most to make those they care about happy, that usually leads to co-operation between groups and happiness for more people. So long as you don't let it become, as Ainz said, only possible by causing suffering to others.

Finally.. an actual Theocracy mentioned.. and only for 1 episode... so sad.. cause yeah i wana see more of the blue hair girl dont think they even said her name lmao.. worse in Nazarick.. there are beings that we never saw :((

Virtuous_Wanderer

Zanac was screwed either way. Ainz had already made his mind up that everyone in that camp would die the nobles just made it 100X worse for doing what they did to Zanac.

Virtuous_Wanderer

The problem here is that Ainz is for lack of a better word, a Demon King (although not literally but, most of his subordinates are Evil aligned). His direct, and indirect subordinates only want what they think Ainz wants, and Ainz only wants them to be happy. That is why he rarely if ever veto's an idea brought forward to him because he knows that his approval is the most important thing to them. He isn't mistreating the other races he rules over (he has actually instituted reforms to make their lives better) he just wants the Guardians to be happy since that makes him happy too. It is the same as a ruler starting a war on a country at their cabinet's request because they say that it will make the whole country happier in the long run. Only in Ainz's case, his cabinet members fight in the war themselves, AND he doesn't have to have the people fight in it either.

My understanding of the 'goddess of fortune being bald behind' is that she bestows good fortune onto her patrons, but is powerless to do the same for herself. In this case Ains is making his friends happy at the cost of the sins he takes on in destroying humanity. Happiness as a zero-sum game is a sad philosophy to be sure. 🙁

Sleighzal

humans are sinful creatures. I might not agree with everything Ainz or the guardians do, this is one where even I think Ainz went to easy on them. Even if a perfect person would appear before them, humanity would betray them, it happened once and it will happen again

I though it's about grasping the opportunity when it's presented, because you could miss your chance if you let it pass you or something like that.

41253_Null_MMD

The way the quote is translated is a bit lacking. A better translation/usage of this euphemism would be as said by Leonardo Da Vinci: "When Fortune comes, seize her in front with a sure hand, because behind she is bald.", which makes it much easier to understand. It simply means seize opportunity as soon as it presents itself, because it may become difficult or outright impossible to grasp it later.

Glad to see Neila remembered the important names like Neuronist 😏
