It’s not too extreme bullying what they did, just taking advantage really. People tried bullying me when I was in high school One guy was a constant barrage of verbal harassment and mocking. I did my best to ignore it, right up until he insulted my mother. Grabbed him by the shirt and slammed his back into the lockers. Told him to never say that again. Then I just walked away. Probably shouldn’t have resorted to physical response, but it worked. Not only did he not ever insult my mom, he never spoke to me again for the rest of high school. So that’s a win. Another time, for the stupid reason of jealousy because I happened to hang with a particular girl that some football jock was into, I guess he thought intimidating me would win her affection? So he and two of his teammates tried intimidating me. They lined up blocking the hall, so I just pushed through them. To be fair, they were clearly trying to look tough, I don’t think they were gonna do anything so it was easy to push past them. And thankfully the team coach saw what they tried and pretty told them “knock that shit off” so they never hassled me again. Fat lot of good it did him, didn’t help him get the girl anyway lol

All of Marin's friends are basically prototype versions of Marin that the author came up with while she was sketching out the story and figuring out Marin's design. In another universe, that IS Marin.

Gojo pushed Marin's hand away cause hand holding is way too lewd, you have to get married first and there's a very high risk of pregnancy without wearing gloves so he was doing the right thing.......😂

I have seen the anime, and read the manga (literally camped my local bookstore when new volumes were releasing), and I hope any spoilers pillows are warm on both sides, and they always stub their pinky toes every time the pain from the most recent stubbing is gone.

BTW, the author is a woman, and she wrote Gojo the way she did because he is her "Ideal Partner" so it makes sense that you like him as much as you do. (I also think that Marin is meant to be the author's "Ideal Self" or something along those lines but, that might be me getting a couple wires crossed)

Haven't seen this show as it's not in my wheelhouse, I've heard one "complaint" though that always made me laugh, that Gojo would have had girls hanging on him cause he's tall and handsome and can cook and sew and like... That's definitely coming from people who don't know what being a quiet, awkward, BIG guy is like. Speaking as one myself, people tend to be scared of you xD Also as someone who can relate to Gojo just from this epi though, don't worry. The one thing to know is, like he said, we all mostly know people are just taking advantage, but it's also the only time people actually bother to rely on us or give us attention and kindness for the most part. Go your whole life without a compliment or anyone even asking for your name and it's kinda hard to get truly mad at people in those scenarios. They think they're "taking advantage" and to a degree they are, but they wouldn't even try if you didn't have value and weren't actually reliable. So their intent doesn't matter, the truth is they also validate that yes you *are* worth something, even if you haven't found the people who will actually rely on you and give to you as much as they get yet.

I had the getting jumped by another kid for talking to a girl, though in my case she was his girlfriend and we were hanging out and *I* was the "jock" cause I played Center on my football team. Went poorly for them cause they did *not* know how to fight and I took a few different martial arts cause my dad liked em so it helped me connect with him xD

This is such a peak romance show, and despite of all of its fan service. It still has a huge female fan base which often is not the case in anime. Plus the side characters will also be so well done later on. As it has some of my favorite side characters in any romance show❤️

23:20 Most of us Asians just love using old machines, because if they are still operating then we use them and then fix them and then reuse them again especially fixing it doesn't cost us anything or much. Also i never looked to the detail of the sewing machine before and by the looks of it, if the gramps is saying the sewing machine is antique and the quality is shot on purpose by the directors, that is a very well maintained sewing machine cuz it looks so prestine.

In the end though, she had already had the designs for both Marin and Gojo. Their character designs are refined versions of her main pair from a previous manga " Momoiro Meloic ". Their personality traits are quite different though.

That girl who did traumatize Gojo is very young and probably just wanted attention from him at the time. It's sad but I doubt she is a bad kid or was a bad kid since it was a flashback.

The impression of "modesty" is maybe given by the fact that their lifestyle is very traditional: they wear traditional clothes and getas (the traditional footwear), they sleep in futons, the house if very Japanese style and, last but not least, they produce traditional dolls. Why do they still have an old sewing machine? I guess that it is still part of their philosophy: if it still works, keep it, even if it is very old.
