So, you seem to have forgotten some things, Neila. The elf scientists where part of the deal with the Queen. The vampire scientists are the weirdos Luminus mentioned sending over to learn, and in exchange she taught Remiru that prayer skill that buffed Temu Ainz-sama and Shuna.

At the end of the Light Novel volume that the first 12 episodes are drawn from, it's heavily implied that Granville has gone well and truly insane. Also, I will reiterate what I said in an earlier episode: If you don't want the possibility of spoilers, try to avoid watching the opening for the next 12 episodes. I would recommend listening, as it's one of the best OPs so far, but imo, the visuals give far too much away.

The last few minutes with the outro was the PERFECT visualization of Rimuru's ideal world. There were humans, monsters, elves, vampires, dwarves, and beastmen all happy and celebrating something together without any doubt, fear, or suspicion toward one another. They were all just... there present and happy in the moment, and happy for Milim when her friend finally came back. There wasn't anything sad or suspenseful really happening but, it brought a tear to my eye when I first saw this sequence because I can tell how much this means to Rimuru

Of course someone else probably already said this. The vampire overcomer is part of the "oddballs" that Luminus said she will send to Tempest in return for having a cultural exchange (during season 3 and the festival). So they are part of Lubelius's team of researchers.
