It's that time of year again!

If this is your first December on my patreon - every year I do a Cassmas giveaway, in which I'll make this post with a holiday themed question, and if you respond to it, you'll be entered into an HCLU giveaway!

It will be an assortment of special little merch items that I don't sell anywhere else.

Also - don't be misled by the name; this is not a Christmas giveaway/you don't need to celebrate Christmas to enter. It just really works with the name.

The winner will be chosen at random this Monday (12/8), and I will contact you on here via your message if you've won (I'll also make a post after confirming with the winners)

The question to enter is -

Are you team cozy night in or holiday party? And which do you prefer to see written in a book?

Comments

Mary Votava

Team cozy night in! But I love a good party scene to read while I have a cozy night in! Haha

Mary Hollis Baird

Love this! Merry Christmas For me, cozy night in with loved ones, in a book, holiday party for sure, lots of opportunities for character shenanigans

Brianna Glodowski

Team cozy night in, and I love to see that written in a book

Spanglish sapphic

I’m a cozy night in! But I love the dynamics of a holiday party in a book! The tension, the dressing up, the dramatic realizations, or maybe the sneaking away for some sexy time!

Madeleine

Team cozy night all the way as long as I sneak at least one holiday party in along the way. LOVE to read about my fav characters going to a holiday party while I’m having a cozy night though 👀

nico

Definitely Team Cozy for both!

Kathryn Crowley

Totally team cozy night. I love staying in because holiday parties always seem exhausting plus i can read. I think in books while I love cozy nights that holiday parties are always a chance to brew conflict and maybe even show the MC’s interactions in a group. Sometimes they also tend to support each other and i LOVE THAT but cozy date nights are so fun too!

Shirley

Team Cozy Night for sure in this cold!! That is also what I'd love to be written in a book 😊

Cristina C

Oo I love a good holiday party. Friends, foods, festivities, and frivolity. And I’d love to see both in a story. The party that leads to those cozy nights in. I’m thinking Hannah and Caroline.

Krista B

Cozy night. Used to be holiday parties 😂😂

Samantha

Cozy night in. For both questions

Kayla B.

Cozy night in for both! Real life and fictional life lol.

JA’Lissa “Jax” M

Hi Haley. I'm on team cozy night in, and I'd prefer to read that scene.

Sasha O

Cozy night in

Jay Hart

Personally team cozy night but I prefer a holiday party in a book!! Something about the characters being dressed up and drooling over each other 🥵😅

Gesselle Lorenzo

Team cozy, nothing beats just being cuddled up watching holiday feel goods. I think I love the same in books too

Kymberly

Cozy night in but I love to read both!

Alyssa

Team cozy night and would love to see it written. Your Patreon is the best, Haley!

sarrah

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!! Cozy night in because I have social anxiety, but I LOVE how you write party scenes because the tension is always 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨.

threekats

I'd have to say team cozy night in for myself and in a book :-)

Tina M

Waving my introvert card proudly - Cozy Night In!!

Lauren Leon

Cozy night in for me! But I like either in a book, maybe holiday party first and then cozy night in after some relationship development.

Taylor

cozy night in! i love both scenarios for a book - thinking about how important holiday parties were for caroline and hannah! but would love to see a cozy night in

Paula

Cozy night in 💯! However I love a Christmas party scene (though theyre both amazing)

Priya

I love both but I’d have to go holiday party because I prioritise cosy nights in every other time of year haha

Carly

Cozy night in over braving the cold weather any night!

Cass

I am team cozy night in. In a book, however, I like a holiday party because I often see it lead to some kind of tension. Whether the tension is due to the even itself or chemistry from the dance floor...I very much enjoy a holiday party. Shall we see one from Abbie and Rose soon?

Danielle Goodnight

Cozy night in will always win with me. I quite enjoy being a hermit. Society exhausts me most days, hence why I read lol.

Natalie

I am totally a cozy night in with my pajamas on snuggled up by the fire. However, I like reading holiday party (I wonder if anybody else is on the same page *wink* *wink*)

Michelle

Cozy night in for both.

Diana

I like small holidays parties with close friends. As long as it’s a Haley Cass book I’m delighted to read either 🤩

Alex L

Question, can international subscribers win?

Chase W.

Definitely cozy night in for both.

Cynn

holiday party !

JL

Cozy. If it's cold and dark outside, I want none of it, lol. Cozy nights and holiday parties both have their place in books though 😂

Jamie

Cozy night in for sure - in real life and in books 😂

Divya Rustagi

Very very tough one - on the day of, probably cozy! But I love a good Christmas eve or weekend holiday party! Holiday party written in a book would be cool

Kristin

I love a cozy night in, but I'd like to read about a holiday party.

Júlia

Definitely both! There’s no better combo than spending the day or night with friends and a good party, and then recharging the next day with my gorgeous girlfriend, cuddled up at home. The best of both worlds.

Kim Kowalski

Cozy night in for me but a good party scene with some awkward encounters can be a fun read!

Becks

Oh I’m such a team cosy night in kinda person! I also love it when it’s written in books because it gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling 😭

Vivi

Team party. I grew up in South America and we celebrated with at least 2 days of festivities. Time with friends, family, dancing, fireworks and amazing food. 1st day/night is our traditional holiday meal and day 2 is sancocho (soup) day, you know for the hangover lol

Sara

No brainer, team cozy night in, always!

Lindsay

Holiday party with fam! & I’d love to read a holiday party scene to see how my fav characters interact in front of other people

viviana

definitely team cozy night in for me personally… i feel like there’s nothing better than playing board games in pj’s with hot cocoa, but i love a good holiday party in a book!

Michelle

Team cozy night in ♥️

Gaby

I love a cozy night in! I feel it adds a really romantic touch to any book

Shelly

I love a good cozy night in. And I love reading these in books bc it shows the slower and home side of characters and their relationships.

Rachel

Cozy night in!

Amelia Stack

Absolutely a cozy night in, but I won’t lie—I love reading a party scene. Especially when the characters aren’t usually the sort to go for that.

Miya Daniel

Holiday Party 🥳 as much as I loved being "cozied up" in the house. There's just something about all the lights and food and community. We were encouraged to carol at nursing homes as kids and I wish I got to do it more. Those elders can party 🥳

Sarah

Cozy night in!! For reading, usually a cozy night in :)

Lucie

I love a cozy night in, but also celebrate love and joy. Last year my partner and I hosted a New Year’s Eve party and we kicked everyone out at 10:30, everyone was gone by 11 and we had finished cleaning up and were brushing our teeth when we heard fireworks go off 😂😂😂

Patti Andon

Cozy, always and either could be interesting.

Vanessa Delgado

Holiday party!!! Need more holiday fun although def cozy night in of the characters got drama with other attendees 😬

Jamie

Team cozy night in! In real life and books

saks

I’m all for a holiday party with a close group of friends and family! But I’d prefer a cozy night in written in a book

Sarah-Maude Godbout

I’m so a cozy night person, but, let’s face it, a holiday party can create way more drama in a book ;)

Tiki

Team cozy night in but holiday party in a book.

Stef Double G

I personally love to host, so holiday party for me, but I think I’d prefer to read about a cozy night in, especially when we get to see all the racing thoughts of one disaster trying (and probably failing) to keep themselves from from fawning all over what is sure to be another disaster

Lucie

In books I like it both ways, I think cozy warm nights in celebrating with just the two people is so soft and warm, but getting to show off your love or your crush or whoever it is as a party is just as fun 😊😊

Ariana

i’m team holiday party but i love a cozy night in for a scene in a book!

SJ

I love a cozy night in. And love reading about them too

Mary Ann Bosworth

No brainer, cozy night in. If I am going to read, how about a party with homemade cookies?

Briana Bradley

Team cozy. Christmas movies. Hot chocolate, cookies and matching pjs. If a fire place is involved that’s a plus Also I prefer the same in books. Nothing like a cozy night in

Rachel Ordonez

Cozy night in! I real life and in books! Always romantic!

lea

I like to be both but a holiday party calls to me a little more I just love any excuse to dress up!! Also going w holiday parties in books bc it usually comes w some good tension/angst/banter etc!!!❤️🎄

Allison

I’m team holiday party! They can be so fun 💃🏼 and the same for books. I’d love a fun, flirty holiday party scene.

Melissa HW

Team cozy night in - divorced with a kid who goes to dad for Christmas (bigger family in that side; so I want him to have that big family celebration). But I’d love a cozy night in with a good friend or a special someone.

Kristin Powell

Cozy night in for sure. I like the ones written where they go out but then they give up halfway through and go back home!

Janet

Cozy night for me, reading about a fancy party!! 🤣

Sean Riley

Cozy night, for sure. I want to read about all the living snuggles (not nearly enough written about snuggling out there).

Devon Howe

Cozy night in for me! I think I prefer cozy night in in books, but I love both

Jessica Andrew

Cozy night in but I do love a good holiday party scene in a book

Chance

As I get older, I’ve become more introverted so a cozy night in is the best! I do love reading cozy nights in books too. I will always love domestic fluff 🤣

Jenell Johnson

A holiday party with the right people could be pretty cozy, right? I love a good karaoke party personally. Afterwards, however i would need a cozy night in to decompress from all that social time😅 As for a book?? Hmmmm i think a holiday party could cause for lots of chaos, or fun character developments. It could easily be a favorite chapter to read

Hannah

Cozy night in for both!!

Jamie B

Team cozy! All the way. One of my favorite things is a cozy night in with my wife and favorite person ❤️. And would love to read about a cozy night in as well

Megan Z , megz_sapfic_reads

Team cozy ! I purposely decorate my inside with lots of lights to feel cozy and embrace hygge . :) I joke that if I’m not in a relationship my Thanksgiving . It’s waiting till Spring! Hibernation activated!

Karo

Holiday parties are definitely fun but this year I am partied out! So cozy night for the win and to read about too!

Sierra

Ditching the holiday party to have a cozy night! Best of both worlds and it's adorable. "I just want to be alone with you."

Aimara

I love the intimacy of a cozy night in and reading about them as well!

Liz Gonzalez

Totally a cozy night kinda gal but do love reading holiday party scenes

Petey

Team cozy night! As well as reading cozy stories

Erica H.

Cozy night in all the way, while reading about the kinds of people that dress up and go to parties 😂

Ashley

Cozy night for myself. Holiday party in a book for the drama

Tabitha

Cozy night all the way but I love reading a holiday party.

Luce

1000% cozy night. No need to dress up or need to impress anyone. I am a homebody at heart. However, holiday party in a book to get a good look into character dynamics or for a good story twist

Liz

Holiday party - pajama brunch! And would love to read about a holiday party

Rishal

As a massive introvert, who ditches my family on Christmas to escape socialization... I'm definitely more Cozy Night In.

Heather V

Can you have both!? A cozy night but as a holiday party with a few friends….a Friendsgiving but for the holidays!? Low key and cozy but still with your closest

Gio

My introverted self loves cozy nights in, and I live for all the snuggles and fluff in a book

Iris

Ooo I'm usually team cozy night, but since I'm that *most* days, for the holidays, I'm holiday party 🥳 and I would love to see that in a piece of writing (like Hannah and Caroline, but the full experience)

heidstuff

Team cozy night in for me! But i do so love to read about your characters partying it up. Especially if you throw in a dash of jealousy and then a gratuitous make out session 😍

Nicole S.

Cozy night in. But as for in a book I gotta holiday party the drama that always comes with… I eat that up

Heidi

Team cozy night in with the pup.

Lexi Le

Holiday day party because of a strong compulsion to host friends. I like reading about cozy nights though.

Danielle Grunz

Team Cozy Night in, but like reading Holiday Party stories

ella bowen

LOVE a cozy night in! While I do enjoy a cozy story, a night out is so fun to read! So great for thr plot and devolving a character! Bonus points if theres some drama and jealously between love interests.

Ashley

I'm definitely team cozy night in for myself, but a holiday party gives the opportunity for so many shenanigans in a book 😂

Sofia Flores

I am team cozy night but I LOVE the way holiday parties are written! ✨🎄

Jess Knudson

Cozy night in for me! For a book though, I think a holiday party because there can be so many storylines to come from that

Alyssa

Cozy Night in for me. Always. But there need to be snacks, libations, and a fire of some kind. However, I feel like a party is always a great read, with high drama potential....and I live to read that during my own cosy night in. 😂

Jessica Sims

While I can appreciate a good holiday party, I'm all about a cozy night in. Same with books.

Gabby

Im team go out to the party and leave in time to go home and be cozy in bed by 9 🤣

Fernanda S

For me, definetly cozy night in. As for what I'd prefer to read in a book, I'd have to say that a holiday party sound a lot more fun and it's a great setting to have scenes with characters who might not interact very much otherwise

Ashley

Definitely cozy night in for both

Mar

Holiday party that turns into a cozy night. I love the idea of holidays being about family and friends but at the end of the night going home and cuddling with your one and only after you exchange your gifts.

Gabby

I love to see a party in books though!

Miosha Webber

Love a good holiday party on a Friday night, and a Saturday cozy morning in doors all snuggled up in blankets

Ahrisuzumiya

I love a cozy night in. Specially movie night, high end Dolby atmos speakers, fresh popped popcorn straight from the Dutch oven, and a vegan hot chocolate. But in a book, I'd read both. Night in would be so intimate while a holiday party could be a fun chaos haha

Caroline J.

Holiday party! My wife and I have two young girls, so, date nights are a treat! I think I like a holiday party as a setting as well, feels like a good platform for getting tipsy and jealous! Which I find to be really fun in a romance book!

Erica

absolutely team cozy night in, but agree with the majority here in that holiday parties are so fun to read about in books and offer so much drama

D

A cozy night in while it is snowing outside.

Chris

A cozy night in with a book and The Great British Bake Off on the TV sounds like the perfect night to me.

Soo Gurtcheff-Smit

Cozy night in for sure! Unless the holiday party is at a hockey rink. But team holiday party in books where the tension is high :)

Kaley

I am such an extrovert i need a good holiday party with friends or colleagues! In a book I’m a lover of both! A cozy night in is such a good way to establish intimate parts in a relationship but a night out can come with drama!

Fern

Team cozy night all the way personally but I love reading about a holiday party, something about all that drama potential!

Alex

Team cozy night all the way!

Hendrien

Def team cozy night, and prefer it in a book as well. I love the cozy feeling of it in stories

Dani

🎵 ohhh cozy niiiight🎵

Miranda

Cozy night in any day. I love coming home and starting a fire in the fireplace and curling up with a good book…. As far as a story though, I’d take either. I’d love to see a lovey dovey scene between the main characters or some drama and fun at a holiday party

Lisa C

Cozy night in. Love both in a book

Kate Shark

Ooooo, I’m a cozy night in person. But I want to read about a holiday party, if that makes sense

Allyson

Team cozyyy and I want to read about cozy nights.

Slac1107

Cozy night in! X2

Claudia Garib

I personally prefer a cozy night in, BUT a holiday party just lends itself better to all kinds of hot and sneaky shenanigans 😈

Amie

Cozy night all the way!! But I do love to read about a good holiday party

Jordan Wieme

Team cozy night for sure! Same thing in a book although it can be nice to have both in the book!

Nyx Z

Team cozy night for me, love hanging out with friends but nothing beats being cozy, relaxing, and being in the comfort of your own home.

jill

i think a party, love when there’s fun dynamics but you also can’t wait to leave (with someone)…or cozy night, but like you’re stuck inside due to a non-dangerous snowstorm? can we say both? 😂

Kay

Cozy night in! And same for the book but can be the harder story to tell

Skyla

Team cozy night 100%. I like to read about being cozy and snuggled on a cold winter night with a good book or movie.

Amelia

Team cozy night in for me and in books

Taylor H

Christmas party type gal, would prefer to read a cozy night in!

Lauren

Team cozy night in, same for the book!!!

Lindsay Gavin

I’m personally a holiday party person, I love seeing people in the holiday spirit and having fun, and people usually have or take time off work so everybody’s a little relaxed. In a book though, I love reading cozy night in because that’s the kind of night I’m having when I’m reading! (Also love a ‘oh no it’s storming! We have to stay in!’ Trope)

Sarah Watts

Team cozy night in but team holiday party in books

Tarah

Holiday party x2!! i feel like parties can be unpredictable in what you are reading as to what is going to happen... cozy night in are all kinda similar imo

Rebekah

Cozy night in!

Amber Mitchell

Team cozy for myself and in books. I love a good book scene where the two characters are snuggled up next to a Christmas with their Christmas pajamas.

Alexus Ball

Team cozy night, I love reading about a cozy night in!

August

I’m cozy night in for the holiday always! I love matching pjs, cookies, movies, and cuddles. Holiday party for books tho!!! There is something so fun and tension building about a holiday party for characters to see each other dressed up or in a public setting that creates such fun scenes. One of my fav all time scenes is TWW New Year’s Eve party 🫶🏻🥹

Gabby

Team holiday party over here but i LOVE to read my faves getting cozy 🫶🏼

Diana Schneider

I for sure prefer a cozy night in. But in a book, I enjoy both for different reasons!

M P

I'm team holiday party to show your face and be cute and then leaving early to have a cozy rest of the night.

a

Team cozy night - for myself and for the characters in a book when the real romance happens by being comfortable with your person.

Libby

I enjoy both for both occasions. If forced to choose cozy night in x 2

Katie Quarles

Team cozy for me personally but holiday party in books because their is way more drama

Kate

Cozy night in for me & Christmas party in a book 😁

M

Cozy night in. I would like to see a newer couple who both planned to go to the same event come to the realization that they would rather spend a cozy night in together learning more about each other.

Kevin Roy

Cozy, planning reading nights by the fire worth the wife for this weekend. Prefer to read about cozy as well.

AJ

Holiday party! Though I’m a huge introvert, I rarely feel more loved than while spending time with found family ❤️

Lauren N.

Cozy night in for me! And I think I prefer to read that, too.

MK

Cozy night in to read about holiday party shenanigans.

Sarah Elizabeth Davis

Team cozy night in, with someone I’m fond of and I love seeing this written about. Charlotte going over to Sutton’s house for Christmas and them eventually getting time to spend alone was delightful.

Sam

I prefer to have a lot more cozy nights in than holiday parties. I love to read characters that go to a lot of holiday party for the drama but the nights in really bring the lead characters together. Now I need to reread Midnight Rain!

Tanya

Definitely team cozy- bring on the twinkle lights and hot cocoa!

Melissa Moretti

Cozy night in for me but book-wise, there are so many great scenarios that can come from a holiday party

Cassi

Team cozy night in and same for a written story!

Lucia G.

Cozy night in, all the way

T

Team cozy in a landslide. I love, love, love cuddling/snuggling scenes.

Andi

Team cozy night in but to read the holiday party!

jojo

Shan

Cozy night in for both!

AKG2025

Cozy night! Love a good blanket movie session both in person and books

sandrakb

Cozy night in, and would love to see that in a book.

Christina Natalello

I personally prefer a cozy night in, but would like to read about a holiday party.

Rachel Doerflinger

Team cozy night in, especially this year because I am pregnant! Bring on the snuggles and hot cocoa. I love seeing holiday parties written, especially when it contains fun dialogue and dancing... and ends in bringing a special someone home. ;)

bbyblu

i am team holiday party, and i think it makes for a fun scene! like gianna and riley (the gift exchange lol)

Tori

Cozy night and writing for both.

paxlie

A bit of both. Dinner out with family, then a cozy night in.

Jada

I'm definitely team cozy night in for myself and to see in a scene!!

I always want a cozy night in. Listening to an audiobook

Olivia hirst

I am definitely team cosy with my wife but I love a good holiday party with lots of family and friends! As for in a book, definitely cosy night in

mk

Cozy night all the way

Alison Sullivan

I think I’m team holiday party and the chaos!!

Makenzie

Cozy night All the way in real life and story!

Nikki

Cozy night x2

Lisa

Team holiday party!

Liam Lintemuth

Team cozy, I like it irl and in books it feels connection

Paulina

Definitely cozy night! Warm blanket, dimmed lights and peaceful time!

Angelica

Holiday party!!!

Morgan Waring

I honestly prefer a cozy night in with my partner and family. They are the ones who I hold most dear. As to see who I would want written in a book, it would be my grandfather. He was the best man that I've ever known and for him to be immortalized in literature would be a dream come true for me.

KJ

Team cozy! Holiday lights, warm blankets, and a cheesy hallmark movies. Perfection.

Kelsey Langdon

Definitely team cozy night in. Cozy Christmas pjs, fuzzy socks, tea, heated blanket…love it. In books I’m torn because I do love reading those domestic moments, but it’s also kind of fun to see characters navigate holiday parties. Is this their first outing as a couple? Are they going to have fun flirty banter while they’re getting ready? Will there be any sneaking away from the party for a quickie or some sort of emotional drama? Lot of ways that could go.

Meg Helen

Definitely team cozy-by-the-tree, but I just started a new job and I really am trying to meet my coworkers, so I will be attending my first holiday party for work in over a decade!

Maggie C

Cozy night in: real world and book.

Squid

Cozy! I definitely prefer being in rather than going out and I love seeing those scenes in books also.

Sarah Bowman

15 years ago I would have said holiday party, but these days it’s cozy night in all the way. Though holiday party is the best for drama in a book!

Minx

I am team cozy night in real life but i think the dynamica of a party make for more interesting reading

Fatou

I’m Definitely team cozy night, nice fire some warm hot soup, fuzzy sock blanket and a good book or movie. cuddling my cat, ain’t nothing better :))) That being said a holiday party would be really fun to see written in a book so many different subplots can happen at once and you never know what’s coming next!

emily

Team cozy night in all the way!

DJ

I definitely lean more towards cozy night in personally. If that can include a handful of friends without being classified as a party, all the better. In books, I think it really depends on the characters involved in the scene but Id have to go once again with the cozy night in since we're more likely to see the characters open up a bit more which I always enjoy

Nat Chen

Real world: cozy. Book: going out!! Wish I had their energy!

Jenni

Cozy night in! Always have. And I love seeing a moment in a book where the two MCs get to slow down and chill and really come closer together.

Sithara

I prefer a cozy night in reading about the chaotic holiday party drama lol

Brandi Walker

Cozy night in for me. Holiday party for the book.

Lisa Tillery

Cozy night in, and it depends on the book. Yes for the chill character/relationship development of a cozy night in. However I do love a dramatic holiday party.

Daphne

Speaking as someone who is literally at a holiday party right now... I am thoroughly team cozy night in. (I'm essentially the living embodiment of the Hannah Gadsby "where do the quiet gays go?" routine) In a story, though, I could see either being great. After all, Hannah and Caroline originally met at a holiday party. And reading about other people at a holiday party means I don't have to go. 😊

Alexha

Holiday party if the characters are in their 20's, cozy night in after 30. Or am I the only one that transformed into a cozy grandma at the stroke of midnight on my 30th birthday?

Brenda B

At my age, cozy night in always. And written also.

Lauren

Cozy in books and in real life 😄

Court

Cozy night in for sure! As for books, I’ve very much enjoyed reading about holiday parties and the events following said parties. 😅🎉

Olivia

Cozy night in for both definitely

Abigail

Kind of a cop out answer but both for both, I probably lean cozy cozy but I do enjoy a good holiday party and it's such a good opportunity for drama in a book

Dianna Norman

I am definitely team cozy night. Though I love both in written words. A holiday party with tension is great for Enemies to Lovers, Falling in love with the Boss, Second-Chance, or Friends to Lovers.

Amanda

Team cozy, brooke and taylor! Its like brooke would wanna be all cozied up at home but also wanting to be out to make sure all the town's festive is going smoothly. Whilst Taylor wants to be home for the privacy but loves being out and about mingling

Krista Mosi

Team cozy night for me… but for books, definitely want the party. So much more potential to write with!

Sharon M

Team cozy 1000% and I love to see the same in book because of the conversations they could have!!

Ashleigh Trevino

I wanna say holiday party & then cozy night in right after

ellie

I'm team cozy night in because that's also the version I see written less often. ALSO 9/10 times it's more intimate so I love it

Koren

Team cozy night all the way

Kaiti

Team cozy night for sure. And I love it in a book 🖤

E

Cozy night - but open to either in a book!

Sleepyhead

Team Cozy Night for both!☺️

Mads

Oh boy, I love a holiday party Friday night followed by two cozy nights in on Saturday and Sunday, lol!!! Best of both worlds?! And in a book I love fluff so cozy nights in are great BUT there’s so much more content I feel you could get from a party! So party!

Ravi

I'm team cozy night in but prefer to see holiday parties written in books.

Taryn Reynolds

Can I go to the holiday party then have a cozy night at home after?

Cora Linehan

For me, a cozy night in, but I think holiday parties make for livelier scenes.

Lindsay Siron

Team cozy for myself everyday! But in a book I love the tension and drama a holiday party scene brings!

Mostly Amy

I might be in the minority but I used to love company holiday parties. Unfortunately they got rid of them after Covid. But I have lots of fond memories of hanging out with work friends actually dressed up at the open (for 1 hour) bar lol.

MEK

So happy to be surrounded by so many fellow cozy peeps. As for reading, I’ll take either one.

Hannah

Definitely team cozy night in

Eden

Team cozy night in but prefer a holiday party book scene.

Merle M

I think it depends! Holiday party to start the night, and then after it ends, a cozy night in?

Kay

Cozy night in, but definitely prefer a holiday party in a book scene

Kristine Friling

Personally team cozy night, because my general social anxiety, but i do love reading about a holiday party! Especially with a little drama thrown in!

Carly

Most definitely team cozy night in for me as I've had my fair share of drama and craziness from holiday parties. Though love reading both in books

Carol

Definitely cozy night in.

Jillybean

Team cozy night in! Lots you can do with that in a book! 😎

Dionna

I can have fun with both but it always ends cozy! Please put it all in a book!

Ale

Team cozy 💯

Angelica CK

Cozy night in! I’d honestly love to see either but maybe holiday party since I don’t experience it irl

B

Team cozy. I live in a very warm climate where it doesn’t snow so I’ve always loved reading about fires and hot cocoa on cold December nights.

Xavier P

Team cozy night in.

phinx

100% team cozy night in nothing i prefer more then sitting at home with a good book 📖 😊

Sophia Barrett

Team Cozy Night In all the way (both to do for myself and to read in a book)!

Gabriela

#TeamCozy all the wayyy! I love a Christmas scene in a book that feels like While You Were Sleeping - cozy and warm but with excitement, especially with all the different family characters.

Shelby

Definitely cozy night in for me. Curled up on the couch with a good book is hard to beat. As for which I prefer to see written in a book its hard to say, sometimes its nice to live vicariously through the characters and attend a fancy holiday party, while also enjoying the comforts of staying in xD

Madison

I’m team cozy night in, but I love reading the fun and drama of a holiday party

Michelle Osburn Eliot

I am 100% cozy night in. There is nothing better than spending the evening cuddling up with my wife at home. I enjoy reading both in books though, it’s fun to experience the characters in different scenarios. One of my favorite scenes is when Sutton helps Charlotte network at the New Year’s Eve party!

Nicole Woodson

I like a good Christmas party personally. With reading, I like both!

Breanna VanDyke

Being a huge introvert, I love a cozy night in. I could honestly go either way with book scenes though, they both definitely have an appeal depending on the characters and what else is playing out in the story!

Patricia

Cozy for both

Natalie Anderson

Cozy for sure! But I do like a good holiday party in a book with secret glances across the table…

Sarah Wickline

Christmas party with an early exit for a night in! Both for book scenes.

Andrea

Team cozy for sure! I’ll read anything you write! But either is good written in a book

Brooke Ingles

Team cozy IRL but I’d rather read about to party.

Carm

Cozy night in for me but love either in a book

megan k

Kelsee

All cozy all the time

Courtney

Cozy night for me, holiday party in a book! I’m an introvert lol parties in fiction please

Dino Odino

I’m both a holiday party and then going home to a cozy night in afterwards. I do love reading about holiday parties though!

Shula

I am definitely team cozy night in. I feel like the holiday party gets written about more. When my wife and I started living together as girlfriends we made a rule where we stay in pajamas all day on Christmas. We don’t have people over either. I grew up in a house that so many people came by there was just constant noise and stimulation. My wife and I are homebodies, and would rather cuddle up together (with the dog), and watch a movie.

Em

Cozy night in for myself. For books it depends on the book. I’d want a charloette/sutton cozy night in but Gianna/riley party. And goes for any character, it will change for them.

Sue R.

Cozy night in everytime!

Leighann

Team cozy night in and I’d like to see it in the book too.

Pau

Cozy nigth in allot yes extra nioses and people

Hedda

I always enjoy a cozy night in, but certain holiday parties are nice too. If it's a not to big gathering with people I know and like I'm all in, but I would not enjoy a big corporate-style holiday party very much, I'm bad at the small-talkey networking side of socializing. As for written, I don't have a preference, whatever makes sense for the characters of the story really.

Beth O'Connor

Always team cozy night in! There's just something about a relaxed setting and the comfort

Chus Lerma

Team cozy night!!! And I love to read one of those in a book!

Sheisaukje

I’m team cozy night in but I love to read about a holiday party full of queer yearning 😮‍💨

Courtney

Cozy night but in a book probably a holiday party with longing stares from across the room ;)

Emma S

Cozy night in for both!

Dee

Cosy night in. More intimate between characters

The Art of Random

Cody night in all the way! But I like to read both of them in a book.

Lisa Lister

Cozy night in with the furkids for me but book wise I’ll go with a party because there are so many variables (is it local? Was travel required? Parents hosting? Did MC go as platonic +1 and hit if off with someone else’s +1 or OR the pianist because the cheesy pick-up line of wondering about the strength, speed and dexterity of their fingers was just too good and funny to pass up). Not that I’ve given it much thought.

Christal Jackson

Team cozy night in but I prefer a party in a book. I agree with the post before mine, there are so many different variables that can make the story more interesting.

D

Cozy night for me but party for books. There is just so much possibility with a party

Celestia Nightane

I'm all for a cozy night in And same for the books, there's so much to say with so little. The quietness, the ambiance, the dim lights, there's something inherently romantic to it

Mareike

definitely cozy night in, wrapped up in blankets some finger food and wine

Molly Worthy

Definitely cozy night in for myself but holiday party in a book!

Kim Bond

I'm team cosy And whilst I do love stories with parties and adventures... one of my favourite scenes is ITLR when Taylor takes refuge at her /Brooke's cottage and they talk. It's the warmth, the cats, the the way they talk with each other... it's beautiful

Ines B

Cozy night in with a good book or rewatching Friends for the 100th time is always great 😀 But going out and meeting new people has its charm 😁

Joanne

cosy night in for me, but i like to read both 🫶🏻

Team cozy night, but I like holiday party in books more!

Gabi

Goodness a cozy night in with a stunning lady and a great book? Heck yes. Such an intimate scene in a story as well!

Casey Ellis

Cozy night in but in a book I wanna be selfish and say both. I don’t get invited to holiday parties so it’s fun to read in books and imagine but also nothing beats a cozy night in with the beauty of a Christmas tree

Kaslo

Team cozy night in for sure but always love holiday party scenes in books!

Riley Gilmore

Team cozy night for both! Although I wouldn't say no to a holiday party scene in a book either :)

Luciana Botter

Cozy night for sure!! Both on real life and on books

Sam Hope

Dang. I’m team both? I love to read both too. Cozy offers a nice intimate setting and emotional vulnerability. Holiday party offers a fun chaos and introduces some character lore by including side characters and helps provide more insight into their lore. Maybe an ex, or a family member, or a rival. It’s fun!

AllySilver

Hmm hard to answer, I’d say both? First a party and then a cozy night to chill out from the partying. And would love the see both too in a book because it shows two so opposite dynamics how people act and react with each other

Lisa Donn

I'm team cozy night in but for a book give me a holiday party. It's fun seeing the characters interact with lots of other people around or maybe even better is them wanting to be together but getting pulled in different directions.

Ceri Coffey

Definitely cozy night for me, I love the calm and relaxed vibes, and I love to see it in books too. It gives us a chance to see how the characters interact when no-one else is around, are they able to be their true authentic selves around each other? Do they feel comfortable and relaxed, or slightly awkward, maybe they're still trying to impress each other? So many possibilities.

Ellie

Cozy night in! Depends on the book, but I do enjoy the shenanigans that often result from a holiday party.

Anna S.
