This month, it's Christmas in March as we look at an episode so hated by Fox that it was booted to a later time slot during the next broadcast year of Futurama! In this second Xmas episode, Santa returns—though John Goodman doesn't—and Bender soon finds himself in the killer robot's role. Listen in and learn the importance of paradox-absorbing crumple zones, what the traditional Kwanzaa gift is, and how to dislodge a toy from your brain. So sit back and start dreaming of a red Xmas with another great podcast!

I swear- At the animatic screening for Bender’s Big Score, the first new animatic in many years, Matt’s first comment was to only draw one tear and make it realistic.

Coolio should definitely have been a Disenchantment Elf. He doesn't even have to change his name! ^_^

Woman here. No purse, only backpack.

It always feels like whenever Bob has the "Are ________ even a thing anymore?" that it is something I see at a near constant basis. Purses are a thing still, some have gotten bigger, almost tote like.

As a very online teenager, the thought of an episode of Futurama that was deemed as too hot for Fox in 2000 really intrigued me, I wasn’t active on newsgroups but kept up through some now-defunct media sites. When it finally aired a year later, being the edgy online teen I was, I didn’t understand why it was held back a year but I really liked the episode regardless. After hearing the isolated audio in this podcast, especially that cyanide joke, I get why Fox was hesitant, that and the network notes stating to not make this episode. I still prefer this to the first Xmas episode though, the elves song is great, and who can say no to a Tri-ominos reference? Hyper Chicken’s “daddy done good!” line during the trial scene still cracks me up to this day as well. And I can confirm to Bob, that yes, purses are still a thing, at least to my fiancé who has a decent collection of purses for fashion coordination purposes. She definitely has a better sense of style than I do, if it weren’t for my wild Robert Smith-like hair I would just be your average plaid-wearing hipster. Pre-pandemic, we went to a local craft beer festival with friends and noted, if one of us loses the group - just look out for the bearded fellow in plaid, with a baseball cap, and if you ever went to one of these events, you’ll know that’s basically the look of the entire festival.

My wife has a purse unless she's going to protests and has a fanny pack instead.

I know it was frowned upon for not being Dan Castellaneta but, the exchange with the Robot Devil on the death walk is my line of the show. It always gets a laugh on rewatch.
