Before I disappear for a few days, I wanted to leave you with a proper glimpse of what is coming next.

I have been pushing very hard to finish MPC - the MapForge Pack Creator - before this trip. I truly wanted to put it in your hands before I left.

But it is not quite at the standard I want yet, and I would rather make you wait a little longer than rush something this important out the door.

A short family break

My daughter is enjoying the last few days of her mid-year school break, and I have owed her a trip for a while. So we are taking a short one together.

Patreon will be quiet while I am away, but only for a few days.

When I return, MPC is the first release I am coming back to.

Build the world you want to play in

MPC is about something I have wanted for MapForge from the beginning:

Giving you the power to make its asset library feel truly yours.

Imagine creating a strange lantern for an abandoned temple, a worn stone floor for an ancient fortress, a complete wall set, a winding path, or an animated arcane effect, and turning all of it into a real MapForge-ready asset pack.

While you work in MPC, your pack can already be imported into MapForge, allowing you to move between creating and testing as you go.

You can see how an asset feels inside an actual scene, return to MPC, refine it, and keep building your world.

Your style. Your assets. Your game.

Objects, floors, paths, walls, and animated assets are all part of it.

But the real promise of MPC is not a checklist of tools.

It is the freedom to create games that do not have to look like anyone else’s.

More than a tool

I am not planning to hand you a piece of software and leave you alone with it.

Alongside MPC, I will publish a complete guide and tutorial showing you how to create your own assets, prepare them properly, build your packs, and bring them into MapForge.

I would love for this to spark an explosion of creativity in our little corner of the hobby:

More creators.

More styles.

More shared packs.

More games that feel personal, surprising, and completely unique.

Thank you for giving me the space to finish MPC properly - and for giving me a few days to keep a promise to my daughter.

I will be back very soon. And when I am, MPC is first in line.

Until then, I have a question for you:

What is the very first asset you would want to create?
