Path of the Stars- Chapter 21 (Patreon)

Even with my new Astral Express, I wasn't going to just turn down that Batarian Slaver ship. For one, I still had a contract with Jabba to string up the slaver as a message to not fuck with the oversized slug's territory and for others to pay their taxes.

But, hell just taking that colony ship turned slaver ship back to Tatooine and landing it just outside Mos Elsey would give me the perfect base for any faction I could build in the future.

A giant colony ship would in of itself make a perfect Jedi/Sith temple for me to make my own sect of Force-sensitives... Though how I was going to make my own Force sect without abducting a bunch of children like the Sith and Jedi did was it's own problem.

"This Astral Express isn't nearly as fragile as you think. It's base material is something that can only be analogized to literal divine materials... To say nothing of the shield array's that are also attached to it as well." I said with a helpless sigh.

As the girls were fucking terrified this train flying through space and leaving Silver Cosmic rails behind it was going to hit a micrometeor and just explode in decompression.

Then Talon asked the better question. "Fine, this train is a superweapon of some kind. But what about that Batarian stolen colony ship we were going after? Are we just going to turn around now?" 

I shook my head and said bluntly. "No, that ship still has it's uses for sure. Nothing is changing in that matter. But in the meantime, I plan for it to be dropped off at Mos Elsey before we continue to pick up people."

Then Kali asked after brushing a hand across her face. "Jake, you are just running around doing bounties. Why do you want thousands of people relying on you? What 'goal' do you have for so many people?" 

I paused at that question before I said slowly. "I want to explore the other galaxies beyond this one. I want to see the major horrors within them, and see the beautiful vistas and people within them as well."

My face then twitched as Talon said flatly. "This galaxy hasn't even had half of its planets and systems mapped Jake. Why are you looking for trouble in an entire new galaxy?"

I shrugged, and with a chuckle I said more easily. "Fair point, but besides the fucking Vong in the western arm of the galaxy and other civilizations that don't like the Republic or even the Citadel. I want to see other supernatural powers based in other galaxies."

Then, with a throat clear I said more firmly. "Now! Talon, Aayla, and the others. Get yourselves ready as the Astra Express moves far faster then any ship in the known galaxy we will reach that Batarian colony ship within the next half an hour most likely."

After all. The Astral Express was a cosmic divine 'tool' which could easily traverse entire galaxies in moments using the power of the Trailblaze. Even if this galaxy didn't already have the Silver Rail's yet to make it even faster.

We were only traveling a few light-years at this point.

I went to the front of the Astral Express and saw the control section as well as the beautiful engine for the Astral Express. I could only sigh as I realized my Astral Express was 'dead'. 

It didn't have a literal spirit in Pompom that could help control and guide the train being an obvious part of it. For a brief moment, a VERY brief moment I considered consuming the Astral Express with the power of Abundance as well. To forcibly bring it to life.

But a part of me inwardly screamed in warning. Telling me that if I did that, something very bad would happen in turn that I coudn't take back.

So with my hand resting on the control panel of the Astral Express I sighed and pushed my Imaginary Energy into the engine which hummed with a soft rainbow energy as the Imaginary Energy transformed into the power of Trailblaze.

"Akivili... I have no idea if you are still alive, honestly. But I do promise to take care of this Astral Express." I muttered to myself as the engine of the train violently hummed to life with smoke leaving the top of the train and entering the void of space.

Then, with a chuckle, I mentally connected with the Astral Express's navigation system and with a loud hum. The Astral Express's engine shrieked as it turned over, and multicolor lights surrounded the train as it shot through space.

And I was all too right as even as I worked to fuel the train's empty stores of energy. We reached the star system even faster then I hoped and I saw the paradise planet had dozen's of ships going to and from even with my naked eye.

"Now... Let's see where that colony ship is." I mused as I took out the data slate at my side and using the trackers that Jabba's men had snuck onto the Batarian ship.

I found the ship; it was drifting in the void outside of the planet's major gravity field but still pulled along itself orbit.

And seeing where it was. I quickly put together why it was where it was. Being a major Batarian slaver ship. There was no way the planet would let it land directly on the surface to off load it's 'cargo'.

It was clearly waiting for the overly full space station in orbit around the planet to have room at one of the jumbo loading docks for a ship of its size to offload its cargo.

"Well, well... That makes thing's convienent, so long as we can prevent the ship from calling for aid to quickly." I muttered to myself before I smiled as a long-standing Astral Express tradition called to me.

I got on the train's comms and then said calmly. "Ladies, please secure yourselves. We are going to punch our ticket to get to the control room easier."

The Astral Express flared with power as I filled it's tanks and engine with a flare of power and with a loud rumble, the train shot forward.

And the slaver ship had no idea what hit it as I drove the Astral Express face-first into the side of the bridge of the giant round, oval-shaped colony ship, with a massive rumble running through the Astral Express.

Because if there was one thing I had learned from HSR and the Astral Express... Is that there is no problem that can't be solved by running over said problem with a cosmic train!
