Here’s a little piece I did a few years ago now, I figured I’d show it off while you’re all waiting for the next two page spread that’s coming up. This latest two page spread is quite a complicated one, more so than the others before it and it’s taking me a lot of time. I like having these big pieces of artwork throughout the comic, I feel like it really enhances the reading experience, even if they do take a lot of time 😅 anyway, I hope you’re all doing well, I’ve got some other big announcements to make but they’ll have to wait till the next post.

With how the humans look now and the ship creature a few pages ago it gives me a question. Is that a ship human?

Jesse James

I was going to ask the same thing.

Miningation

The ship is an extremely heavily genetically modified human, yes.

Miningation

Are those small radar-looking things sensory organs or weapons?

S. Fish

I literally cannot wait to see more of this tech. War never changes; the reasons might not, but the hardware sure does.

Shawn Bond

Well worth the wait…take the time you need 👍😃

Shawn Bond

My thinking is weapons (lasers).

Shawn Bond

Are humans human anymore 🤔😉

Mitchell Rasmussen

So has the imperium tech found ways for all it’s technological requirements to be achieved completely biologically or is there also more conventionally manufactured technology incorporated or used in certain applications?

CallumStephenDiggle

Well I’d agree with Shawn here that there actually aren’t any humans anymore in the sense of anatomically modern humans (except Losté of course). But the imperium dropship (Locust as it is also called.) is a heavily genetically modified bio-mech based on human and other DNA. So the answer is, it’s partially Human.

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh it’s changed a whole lot alright. Also nice Fallout reference you got there 👈😎👈

CallumStephenDiggle

There is also technology implanted into them but all the biological receptors to that technology are inbuilt (grown) into the beast.

S. Fish

I think it speaks to your design that we can clearly see it's military hardware, but being rooted in the 21st century we go "what.. what the hell is that?" It's so alien and yet still somehow recognizable.
