Sorry for the slow updates, just went through some funk. AGARES release 9 will be coming within the next week (hopefully) and sits at 20K words, but today we're doing Doomsday Pivot! which was written in 2023-2024 and then indefinitely shelved, largely due to concerns with marketability. Rather than having it rot in a folder somewhere, I'm pushing it out, which was always the more sensible thing to do.

Release schedule will be ~20K word chunks (this one is 17K) every Monday; everything is written and fully edited, there are 104K words, and this represents a single complete book of the originally planned ten. The default is that no more books will be written, but I'm keeping the door open in case this does better than expected on RoyalRoad. You can read a full foreword here, if you'd like. This will be going up on RoyalRoad in a week, maybe two, at a much slower release schedule of roughly two chapters a week after the initial spurt. (Separately, some older still will also be making its way to RoyalRoad, including Wisteria, The Dark Wizard of Donkerk, and Shadows of the Limelight. AGARES will also be pushed onto RoyalRoad, and the goal is to have a more intensive deadline to encourage productivity, with Patreon some 40 chapters ahead.)

There's a separate expanded AI disclosure on my Substack. The TL;DR is that no AI was used to write this book, but some AI was used for proofreading and research.

Welcome back! I'd been kinda worried about the radio silence. Hope you're doing better now. Looking forward to these new chapters. For some reason I only just recently noticed you have a Substack, it was like discovering a bunch of free bonus DLC.

Hooray! Glad to have you back! Dark Wizard of Donkerk was one of the first stories of yours I ever read, and I loved it, especially the paladin oaths. I think there’s scope for more stories in that world!

All your writing is interesting, looking forward to more of Doomsday Pivot.
