Time for PEAAAK

Raine

YASSS. I've been waiting very impatiently since I watched this😂 Right into the reaction I go😍

xman t

The "Dont you Forget" song between Alastor and Rosie was actually leaked months ago. I ended up seeing it by accident, wishing i didn't. But i will say, i didn't see the twist between Alastor and Rosie coming and i like it quite a bit.

xman t

I will say, i disagree with the "alastor wasn't trying" thing. He can't go all out. We saw during the fight that he was trying to get his mic to work, which it didn't because it was broken. His powers are limited. He can't use his full power now, so he *was* trying and "losing"

Drake Phoenix

Let's be honest: Val said what we were ALL thinking.

Raine

I've been trying to figure Alastor out all day😂 Honestly I don't think Rosie is actually an overlord. I think she wants to get to heaven for some reason, that's why she had Alastor working for Charlie and why he included Charlie in the deal. So Charlie can figure out a way to heaven. I've been thinking who Rosie can be, and I was thinking Eve, actually Lilith and the one in heaven is not Lilith but I gave up for now bc nothing makes much sense😂

Christopher Malone

vox is gonna do something to break his deal, his soul gets forfeited to Alastor who in turn uses it to heal, that's my call edit: and Viv knew EXACTLY WHAT SHE WAS DOING. FF authors will be eating good

Jessica V

Is it possible Rosie is Roo? Vox did run a cult. Vox wouldn't have power if he didn't have followers and people listening to him. So maybe he really can't do this without people

alovieruu

you not clocking the japanese until the end of the song killed me lmaoo /lh

Tyler

I have a theory that Alistor's stitch pattern and spacing between them is intentional. It looks like Roman numerals to me: I.XI.V. or one-eleven-five. Kindof sounds like a radio station. "Tune on in to 111.5!" Googling it led me into a massive rabbit hole... 111.5 in AM frequency "is a frequency associated with a former pirate radio station, Capital Radio". And 111.5 in FM frequency was the one that was used to bounce radio frequencies off the moon for the first time. Old timey radios ranged from 500 to 1500 khz. And Alistor's radio symbolism is always slightly to the right of center. Maybe set to 1115? The frequency used to interact with other celestial bodies, and perhaps hell?

LikeCat

I (unfortunately) saw the Al/Rosie twist early... It was still surprising to see HOW it happened tho

Havoc 13

I love how pathetic alastor is in this episode. Not an insult but he's written to be wonderfully miserable and petty. He's a giant hypocrite about vox relying on others when alastor would be NOTHING without Rosie. I'd call it projection but I think he's such a narcissist he doesn't even see any fault in himself. I don't feel even a gram of sympathy because he did all this to himself. He was so arrogant he didn't even question Rosie's deal. This man has the largest ego in hell I swear and I love him for it. Hell vox was an overlord before he teamed up and relied on others. Alastor didn't work for shit.

Yoshinatorsaurus

Just a refresher, Overlords ARE sinners, just ones with territory and souls under contract. So the most powerful sinner IS the most powerful overlord, too. Rosie didn't take away any of Alastor's power, he's just weakened from the chest wound Adam gave him. Also, I'm pretty sure Carmilla's kids are her's biologically, they just died and went to hell, too.

Rupert Anderson Jr

I wonder where they are going with Charlie's character. Because all she's done lately is make bad decisions and ignore advice. I want to have faith in the writing.

Evil Queen

I called Rosie controlling him in some capacity after season 1. Idk why but it just felt like she was the one with his contract for me. I think she’s a lot more than she is letting on and/or has connections to possibly Lilith or Roo.

CrowOfAFeather

Yes, that's Rosie Alastor talked with through the ritual/radio. Subtitles helps reveal it. I honestly love that it wasn't Lilith or Roo who held Alastor's soul, but lil ol´Rosie. It wouldn't been...I dunno, too obvious otherwise? So many people wanted it to be either just because, but it's also refreshing to see Lilith has nothing to do with Alastor. It being Rosie is just perfect, because now we know she is more powerful then she seems AND no-one called it! Loved the fight between the Vees and Alastor, but I genuinely couldn't decide on who I wanted to win since they're all just...shit xD Weren't the "eyes on everything" the residue or something from slain Sinners/those who gave up on regenerating? I haven't heard anything about it being "definitely Roo" Alastor mentioned it last season that Vox wouldn't be anything without the other Vees in Stayed Gone, and yeah, it's true. If anything Vox is just a glorified media provider while Val and Velv are the content creators. And as someone else pointed out, Alastor is a hypocrite since he needs Rosie's power just to become an Overlord. Really can't wait for next week!!

BakaSama

I’m convinced Alastor’s fight with Vox was 100% a thrown fight with Al only putting up enough resistance to convince Vox he had the upper hand. Why I’m not sure other than in someway Alastor is planning on using Vox to get out of Rosie’s control. The Rosie reveal wasn’t as big a surprise to me because some jackass on Facebook decided to spoil a bunch of stuff from the Season 2 leak. That said, she’s definitely a character that I’m reevaluating. I had her pegged as an older Overlord that Alastor was on friendly terms with and were kind of equals. There’s definitely more to her, but for me there’s not nearly enough material on her to form any solid theories. I do think I remember something about Viv saying Rosie wasn’t a Human/Sinner, so there might be a possibility dear old Rosie *MIGHT* have some connection to Roo.

Pearl

I FREAKING CALLED IT!! I theorized in the last season that Alastor was under contract with Rosie. Rosie was too nice!

Zefram Mann

The only thing that bothers me is, how did Rosie make Alestor the strongest sinner? That would imply she made him stronger than she is.

Albedo12

I don't think Vox is going to make it past the end of the season.

ASPDroid

That's assuming that Rosie IS a sinner. It's also possible she just gave him a big chunk of her own power, and she was already powerful enough that said chunk + Alastor's 'natural' power level was enough to make him the strongest.

ASPDroid

Some loose, semi-thought-through thoughts on the Charlie - Vox - Alastor relationships: Vox is Charlie's antagonist — he's far more evil and self-serving, but he's not her exact opposite. Both of them see value in partnerships and in helping those less powerful than themselves, but Vox only does so to extract more value from them to enrich himself. Alastor, on the other hand, is Vox's antagonist — Alastor is Vox, but without his Charlie-like traits, leaving only narcissism, ego, and a greed for power.

CorgiSnapz

Alastor knows that Charlie and company will likely try to rescue him and Al will likely try to manipulate the situation so that a) Vox either purposely or accidentally hurts Charlie, breaking his deal, and b) puts Charlie further in his debt when he 'saves' her from Vox. He could even offer Vox's soul to Rosie in exchange for his own. I'm excited to see!

Simon Davis

The Black Hatter mention in the chyron... I suspect they're setting something up as it seems like a very specific detail that doesn't fit with the rest of the rant. I thought when we saw the murderer ("Jack the Ripper" as we assume) in Pentious' backstory that he looked demonic, and my guess is that the Black Hatter is one and the same. (The "JtR" design did also remind me of a a demon seen in the pilot opening, though I had assumed that was an early design for Lucifer.)

Babble

This episode made me completely re-evaluate Rosie as a character and I kinda love it. Rosie making Alastor disappear for 7 years , the same time Charlie last heard from Lilith & the Exterminations started to happen (Katie confirms 7 years this episode) is verrry interesting to me.

Simon Davis

FWIW on the Vox fight, I think Alastor was pretty genuinely losing the fight in his weakened state, but was trying to bluff Vox (Al was there to set up the deal rather than to overpower Vox / the Vees, but I think he either underestimated them or overestimated himself). The turning point seemed to be when Husk & Niffty were about to get killed - I'm going to go with him not wanting to expend assets unnecessarily rather than actually caring about them, but that was when he cut to "hey, isn't this boring, let's make a deal instead". My current guess is he intends to play Vox / Rosie / Charlie against each other (and possibly call in the favour from Charlie to force his way out of his deal) - and I'm pretty certain Alastor said Vox can't touch Charlie because protecting / helping Charlie is a condition of his own deal, not to help her for her own sake.

Simon Davis

Also, I kinda think that Alastor was expecting Vox to come alone rather than have to face all three of the Vees together - you called out his isolationist trait, and I feel he maybe projects that onto others. He mocks Vox for being "dependent" on V&V, and assumed he could take Vox on his own, but the Vees having Vox's back instead were able to overpower him. But of course he keeps the smile even as his eyes scream "murder" because - as he pointed out to Charlie last season - that smile is his mask and projection of power, to make people always think he has the upper hand.

Simon Davis

An iron fist in a velvet glove, indeed.

George Kallas

So it's definitely the case that Lilith convinced Lucifer to allow the Exterminations so that Adam would let her into heaven, right?

Someday Sera

I suspect it's more that she was collateral. Adam was a misogynist, saw lilith as his property and wanted her back, knowing it would hurt Lucifer to lose her. If she went back to him, the hellborne would be protected. (the pardon from the exorcist's blade, adam mentioned in the first episode) We never get any indication Lillith wanted into heaven, if anything one of the very few things we know about Lillith is she loved ruling over hell. I had thought that would mean she'd reject lute's demands and leave immediately, that she was a prisoner in heaven, but the fact that she's still there, albeit seems to be isolated (given sera was not happy to hear lute had talked to her) suggests she's got some other plan. My money is on Lillith being there for either an act of sabotage/revenge, or to free eve, roo, steal some artifact like the apple etc. It's too simple for her to simply be in heaven because she wanted to go there, especially given the running theme that heaven kind of sucks. So I maintain she'll be an ally to hell, but her actions will undermine charlie by escalating conflict with heaven. One of those where, she's a hero, but also in conflict with the protagonists. Granted...i've been so wrong about so many things, so...who knows really.

Someday Sera

Agreed, it seems like his shadows (and thralls like husk and nifty) can still fight but he's pretty helpless. But I suspect losing was always the plan, he just had to put on a show so vox wouldn't be suspicious, if he'd gone to vox with a proposal outright he'd assume it was a trick, if he loses to vox, his pride blinds him to the scheme. Afterwards, alastor doesn't look like he's defeated or despairing, he looks like he's enduring, waiting for the moment to spring his trap. He's not enjoying the indignity of it all, but he has to endure it till the moment is right.

Someday Sera

Yeah that's...extremely suspicious. Too many things line up there for no real reason. Mosco and Elijah have been thinking lillith might be eve or roo but...I wonder if rosie is. (and if rosie was eve or roo, I could see them teaming up, and smuggling lillith into heaven so they could spring some scheme from both sides (with the third possibly waiting on earth as well)

Someday Sera

it very explicitly doesn't fit, does it? That feels like a clue, not a mistake. Something is up with rosie, I'm...not sure she's actually a sinner/overlord at all. She might be something much more.

Someday Sera

she's spiraling, I get the impression she's going to hit rock bottom and need to go through some sort of major growth in response, you can see a sort of mounting desperation and panic in her behavior, she knows she's failing, but just can't stop.

Someday Sera

the implication seems to be Rosie wants something in relation to charlie (or the royal family in general) so I don't think she'll be interested in Vox.

Someday Sera

that's kind of where I'm at. I strongly suspect rosie is eve or roo (through I assume roo is sealed away or is a dormant personality in somebody else) Now the question is, since she disappeared alastor for 7 years and lillith has been gone for 7 years alongside the 7 years of exterminations...is rosie looking for lillith? is she hiding from her in heaven? or are they working together on some plan that might require one in each realm? Or...maybe rosie is just an overlord looking for an angle but...

Someday Sera

that or he knew he'd lose, but had to try to make it believable, to get vox into a position where he'd take the deal and not assume it was a trick.

Vegvisir92

Ok...why did you have an issue with Rosie calling Alastor her pet but not when Alastor called Husk his pet? I just rewatched the older episode and all you did was giggle when Al called Husk a pet...here you actually called Rosie out...any reason?

Kitsune Kokoro

Yep, I take that exchange as confirmation that Rosie is not a sinner.

Ryan

The fact that The Extermination had only gone on for seven years is a twist. The prologue made it sound like it has been going on for millennia. But the fact that Alastor went missing, Lilith went missing, and The Extermination all started at the same time? Yeah, that's a coincidence. Just a coincidence. Speaking of Emberlynn, she's a sinner, so could SHE be redeemed? And if so... how? Writing wholesome Vox/Alastor fanfics for 10,000 years? College AU. 50,000 words, ongoing, and they haven't even held hands yet. Maybe he was a Not-So-Average-Fanboy? (ba dum tish)

morthasa

FWIW, regarding the "It makes no sense for a character to infodump at another character that already knows it", I interpreted it as Rosie doing it just to twit Alastor. She knows he knows, and more importantly that he hates being reminded. So she does it anyway.

Hulk Lover

I love Alastor pulling the "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me" card. Also realizing Alastor's being a bit of a hypocrite, considering he's also relying on someone else for his power, albeit much less publicly.

ELS_Art

I love that the second a reactors theory is proven wrong the chalk it up to bad writting and I don’t know Subverting Expectations. Like having theories is fun and fine but I notice a lot of reactors get so upset or dismissive of the writing when their theories are proven wrong.

Phoenix_mercury

It feels like less "anyway" and more *deliberately*

Phoenix_mercury

Dunno about mosco but what had me icked for it Vs in S1 was duration and seeming intent, in S1 Al reminded husker and basically just told him don't bring that up again whereas Rosie had a literal whole ass song, that Al was forced to join in on, just to remind him and seemingly needle at it him because she could and knew how much he disliked it, including how he asked for her to even just fix his staff and be basically told "when I feel like it", it felt more insidious from Rosie and her usual niceness also feels less genuine now and more like a front to keep people unsuspecting

Phoenix_mercury

One thing I will say about his smile, at certain moments it looks like he's trying to frown but his smile won't go/fall

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah, E1&2 happened in one day, he's blinkered from the pain of losing pen after finding out redemption is possible and Emily unknowing relapsed her naïve and impulsive behaviour into overdrive though her realisation at the end seems to have(at least somewhat) pulled her back from

Phoenix_mercury

If you mean the comment at the end, to quote Charlie, fuck nooo. I'm hating him even been in the proximity of Val with the current deal as I have a strong feeling(aka no doubts) that Val wouldn't give a shit that Al is ace if he wanted to do something or set up vox to... 🤮

Suplee215

Im not sure I will call Charlie selfish. Self absorbed and focused om herself as the main character for sure. I do think shes caring more about her ideal and concept and less about the people in her life.

Wispa

i think that reaction came more from thinking that alastors and rosie’s dynamic was good friends instead of what it actually is, while husks and alastors have always had a owner/pet dynamic since the pilot when he just summoned husk against his will (that’s atleast how i’m taking it)

Suplee215

The Alastor twist seems to have a genius foreshadowing i didnt realize. Alastor told Charlie if you smile no one knows what youre thinking. Hes all about putting on a false face to disguise himself. Then he goes to see Rosie. Who he is all polite and smiling and chummy with... my money is Rosie is part kf a group or cult or whatever that works for Roo

Suplee215

In my understanding all overlords are sinners. And all sinners can gain powers from making contracts with others for souls. Hence why older sinners tend to be more powerful. I am not even sure if hell spawn deal in souls. Its possible all Rosie did was gather a ton of souls to give to alastor when he died. Or she works for Roo. Or is Roo. In theory, Rosie made Alastor more powerful than herself. But as she owns his soul he isnt a threat.

Pikagirl

Nifty was singing in Japanese for about half the song. Right after Charlie asked her to help differently. lol

Pikagirl

I wonder what happens now that Alistor is under Vox. Does that mean that Vox gains his power and soul? Does that mean Vox is more powerful than Alistor breaking Rosie's deal and power over him? Then he can always call in his deal with Charlie and get her to free him if it's possible for her to. idk, just throwing out ideas!

Sneep

Yeah but that's also such a wild take from Alastor, who is confirmed to only be the strongest because of Rosie. In the end, despite being such a piece of shit, Vox managed to get up to the top with his own powers, intelligence and charisma. He's kind of just a super evil version of Charlie. Alastor just made a deal before he went to hell and he talks as if he earned all of his power. He's lost a lot of respect from me this episode, now he just seems like a little bitch to be honest.

Tintros

This just in, Mosco agrees with Valentino! VoxTech, trust us with your comments section! :)

May

Honestly, Alastor needs to be put in his place. Someone needs to tell Vox that the guy who keeps throwing shade at him for relying on others is actually heavily reliant on someone himself. At least Vox seemingly had to put in the effort to become an overlord. Alastor’s deal sorta let him cheat his way to the top a bit.

Arcanity

It’s the similar to how Val reminds Angel about his circumstances every time they meet, it’s exercising control.

BGTitan

I'm really interested to see the consequences for Charlie repeatedly not listening to any of the people around her. Last season she kind of got let off the hook a lot or it just happened to work out in her favor, but they are really making a point of showing everyone's (including Vaggie's) frustration over it this time and even when Angel "forgave" her last episode you could tell he was still clearly pissed but he also knows that Charlie's intentions aren't malicious (even though her actions certainly lean in that direction). Like you said, we're supposed to be feeling this way about Charlie which I think makes it slightly more bearable than if this was played similar to how it was last season as just Charlie being Charlie. With Vaggie trying to find a new name this season (though I'm also in the camp she'll just end up reclaiming the one she has) it would be nice to see Vaggie find herself outside of Charlie. Cuz honestly, Vaggie's biggest flaw in the relationship is that she doesn't consider herself much at all. She does whatever Charlie asks because devotion is the love language she knows best. But as I said earlier, we're seeing that even she is growing increasingly frustrated and unhappy with Charlie's behavior even though she is still trying to support her. I so bad need Vaggie to realize that her thoughts and opinions deserve to be listened to and at least taken into actual consideration. This makes me increasingly curious about how Lute is going to play into all this. While I don't think Lute's style is subterfuge by any means, she's going to be some form of obstacle here and if the trailers are to be believed she's not going in guns ablazin' right off the bat... though she'll probably be dying to. I can't see Charlie or Vaggie trusting that Lute is okay with what's happening but.... Ugh, it makes me nervous. Also, how is the Chaggie duet gonna work with all this going on... Oh boy. I sense that's going to be a high before a fallout. Not a break up necessarily but just... a fallout. Next week is going to kill us. I have a feeling.

William Wilson

With both Alastair and lucifers cups, all I could think was”duck season, no wabbit season” Also hearing the details of Alastair’s deal really puts into perspective his behaviour towards lucifer and Adam and whatnot. He was told he was made to be the strongest sinner in hell (which very well could be true), and he assumed that this meant he was the strongest in hell. So he’s teasing and pissing off lucifer because he thinks he is actually stronger than him. Then when Adam breaks his staff his words are “what just happened?” He wasn’t aware or think to investigate about non sinner beings that are stronger than

Vegvisir92

im no sure if im misunderstanding or whatever but im not getting what either of you are saying

TheCasualNerd

I don't think Vox gets Alistor's power, he agreed to be a prisoner not a subordinate. Vox doesn't own his soul, he cant because thats not Alistor's to bargain right now.

TheCasualNerd

Too many thoughts to comment so I'll just pick one lol. I think Rosie info dumping here is a power play. Like narratively it does serve as an excuse to fill us in but in universe theres a thin justification of her telling this story. Alistor is currently defying her instructions by quitting so she immediately moves to remind him of the deal he made and who is in charge. And I do think that in general she has a cordial relationship with Alistor, at least to a degree she does like him. But again he's stepping out of line, pushing against his bindings, and so she cracks down hard. Reminds him of his place. Just because she's friendly with him does not make them equals, she's the boss, he's the subordinate. And with Alistor's ego that message cant be reinforced gently. I have tons more theories about everything but I'm still mulling over a lot of it or waiting on more info

Chance

Hey, he realized you don't really have to repeat yourself. I want you to videos on pitch. Ron anyways, just because I like more content, sometimes I watch them on YouTube, but that's very rare because I like having the full raw version excuse me, but yeah, so don't have, I'm not complaining. I honestly love it. Have a good day and night because it's currently 2 AM here. In the states where i'm from have a good night and

Teal

56:07 why did Mosco make the wendigo noise?
