Marceline_mother

Who ships Astrid x Tracy? Astracy? Trastrid?

Corvo Joka

I was theorising that this season would end with them in a Dungeon ...this is meaner. I want more!...

Marceline_mother

If you didn't notice, Zuala (the girl with Yasha in the beginning) and one of the guards of the Vox reference are voiced by Aimee Carrero, Adora's VA from She-Ra

Craig York (Yorkie)

Just a heads up, it's Matt Mercer voicing Pumat, the inspiration he had for the voice though, was Cronk, hence why it sounds so similar.

Horizonshard

The voice of Pumat Sol is not Patrick Warburton. It is, in fact, Matthew Mercer. The talented man he is.

Liam Gradwell

I couldn’t believe it. I had no idea it was her. 🤩💅🌈

Marceline_mother

Fun fact: Laura (Jester's VA) said that Jester peeked on Beau changing and she said that she has "buns of steel"

SpaceNerd

well, 'nonagon' on its own just refers to a nine-sided polygon

Wil DeYoung

Knight in shining armor? More like knight in Agythis Armor.

bloodyshadow1

they had a half an hour mosco, and even if they had more time I don't think Beau would feel comfortable in any dress. So hold on that anticipation until you see the badass butch in more appropriate attire

Megan Donecker

Oh man, I cannot believed you missed in the credits for who voiced the woman with Yasha in the beginning (Zuala). You would for sure recognize that name. :)

Alex Malix

That's not Kronk, that's Matt Mercer

CrowOfAFeather

Lmao no, Matt's voicing Pumat Sol in both the campaign and the show, it's in the credits x) I get the confusion though! Jester calling Fjord "Oskar" is a reference to "Tusk Love" where the half-orc protagonist is named Oscar. It's a funny moment added in an otherwise sweet moment between the two. Yasha couldn't be at the gala unless she has an invitation or just butchers her way in to steal the beacon lol ...Why would it be Yasha's "ex"? No, you got it right. Nonagon is what Kree (cat lady) called Molly/Lucien too. No idea what it means. I love that you just assumed it was Molly attacking the tower, as if he'd knew Caleb was there and needed help, and knows how to fly around xD or that they were sent by Yasha who has only been seen travelling alone (unless you count the vultures...) It's Essek, not Isek lol I loved this cliffhanger, but the wait is gonna be torture!

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I wonder if she felt weird not BEING the muscle mommy in the relationship...

Marceline_mother

Catra and Yasha both have heterochromia btw, fun fact

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

"Are we gonna see this bitch cleaned up?" She took a bath last episode, how much cleaner can she get?

Ryan

And the fuckery begins... A hand drawn dolly zoom has to be a challenge, given how the human face looks different depending on the focal length. The big fight between Ikathon and the Kryn strike force makes me think our team of capable fools needs to level up some before the boss fight. One big unanswered question this episode: define "edible" ;)

bloodyshadow1

also, yasha's lover in the flashback/nightmare is played by aimee carreo, aka adora aka she-ra. Aimee has actually been on critical role a few times. just find it funny your former giant superstrong muscle mommy crush is a lover of your new giant superstrong muscle mommy crush, or at least attracted too

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Also, Jester is canonically *stronger* than Beau — she is, in fact, the strongest of the current Nein

Rixec2

Beau's alter ego Tracy is very popular. I can't wait for you to find out next season Beau based her on her long-lost twin sister who will end up joining the Mighty Nein as their eighth member. ^_^

Chet Bliese

I love The Traveler's eyes. They are of the universe.

Special K

Trashtrid for the WIN!

Via dot 124

I was so sad to learn that this was the season finale, like I prefer when a season wraps up in a decently satisfying way, that still leaves us with some nuggets of the future, but ultimately could get canceled and still be a satisfying enough spot. Other than that, I loved this season, and this episode was great, just felt more like the climax episode right before the major finale.

Via dot 124

A great way to describe this feeling is probably edging

Suplee215

Season 2 is already far in production and Sam said theyre hoping to get it out by end of 2026.

Suplee215

Her strength stat is stronger. Beau is pure dex based which they translated to lean muscle which isnt too bad. She also has expertise in athletics. Which puts Beau at a big edge when doing athletic checks to Jester

Suplee215

The Traveler actually appeared in the Legend of Vox Machina. Season 2. Yes its THAT guy.

David Johnson

Yeah, a hundred and fifty for the flask is high. But given Nott's consumption levels, it honestly will pay for itself pretty quickly.

BakaSama

1. Essek once again makes a poor decision. Instead of taking advantage of Ikithon fighting off the rest of the Strike Force and bolting with the Beacon, sticks around with the Beacon to throw down with Ikithon himself. Just how low is this dude’s Wisdom Score? 2. More juicy tidbits about Molly’s backstory. If I had to guess based on what context the show has provided us so far, I’m thinking the Nonagon is some kind of Chosen One/Herald. 3. The Traveler finally appears and looks suspiciously like a certain other trickster we’ve seen from Critical Role. As for his trustworthiness, ask yourself how much can you really trust Fey and Trickster?

SQX Barto

It is also an expression when someone dresses up more nicely :)

Ryan

Of course we can trust The Traveler! He's a redhead and we gingers are completely trustworthy, always true to our word...

Rye-Ah

There were some serious money-shots in this episode but honestly that final fight between Trent + Astrid & Eadwulf and Essek + the Kryn Strikeforce was SO COOL. It was such an awesome way to show that TM9 have some levelling up to do because Essek and Trent are playing in a league of their own

Christopher Malone

uh spoiler...next thing you will reveal that Knott is from the Dynasty, and her fear of water stems from her past life and is having trouble separating her current life from the past one

BakaSama

I had overlooked him being a Ginger. Any other charges you would care to add?

Jinjer-on-Everything

ADVENTURE TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME! Mighty Nein is actually a reference to the tabletop game. Liam, the player of Caleb, kept rolling nines in the early game and saying "NEIN!" when Matt asked what he rolled. Eventually some npc asked what the group called themselves, and Jester was like "Deh Mighty Nein!"

Bemmie

Yes... the dust of deliciousness is very specific, maybe you should remember that!, or maybe not, who knows?

NerdyGothKitty

15:38 It's actually not Kronk's voice actor - it's Matthew Mercer doing a similar-sounding voice!

Rupert Anderson Jr

Can Yasha magically track the beacons location somehow? Because I don't know how she knew to go down into the sewers to look for it after the Kryn strike force took it.

Geass

I take it Masco doesn't remember the last time we saw the Traveler. I don't blame her. It has been a while, and I only remember him because I knew who he was.

LikeCat

It is likely because of whoever she was under the controll of... That entity had a way to track the Beacon to some degree so he „told" her where to go. (This WHOLE plot with Yasha is semi show original btw)

Sorcha McLaren

Critters know, for SURE. We will wait for that pay-off, and it will be epic when it lands!

Rupert Anderson Jr

If that's the case, I hope they explain it in season 2. We know this entity wants the beacon and ordered Yasha to go get it, but every time we have seen Yasha, she has asked. "Where did they take the beacon?" in EP1 or "Where can I find mages?" in EP6, If this entity if capable of tracking the beacon, then Yasha had no reason to ask for directions. The plot of this entity going after the beacon is indeed show original, but I think his end goal might be similar to how it was in the campaign.

Mélanie Gravel

Just so you know, Matt Mercer voices Pumat Sol, but he DOES inspire himself from Kronk! :)

Stephen Mumford

I know she's doing the poll for the next show, but honestly, I think the deep lore of Adventure Time would really appeal to Mosco.

Ryan

Charges!? Good person are you implying that being a descendant of Lilith is somehow a crime?

BakaSama

I merely mean that when discussing the reliable nature of a personage, that bringing up a trait widely associated with volatility does them no favors in defense.

Angelus Lupus

Wait, THAT GUY that guy? Tricksy little sketcher of the "Why do I have two peni?" hilarity? That makes so much sense!

Angelus Lupus

Cool fact! They really know how to get the best talent for the show(s)!

Suplee215

Yup. Jester's political satire during her debut sure has his artistic flare. And he said he'll he back. Same character design as we saw for 2 seconds after vox machina left the feywild.

Suplee215

One bit of lore that is touched on a little bit but not fully that helps put Caleb's pause in perspective. Dundamency is a type of magic that deals with fundamental scientific forces. Gravity and time mainly, which are interconnected in physics. That giant black orb was a extremely small black hole for example and the shadow clones we see those soldiers use are alternate timeline versions plucked into theirs. Or potential timeline anyways. Dundamency has the secret to time travel basically. Or at least that is what Trent was hinting at to Caleb. So not only cam he bring them back. He can prevent himself from ever having done it. Yes the beacon can make black holes and time travel and serve as a reincarnation field.

Suplee215

Its not that hard to figure out they needed an escape plan and didnt fly away. So they had only so many options. Using the sewers to escape is a logical jump. The battle also wasn't quiet even though it was under thebsewers and a lot of magicnwas being thrown aroubd.

David Johnson

Excuse me, a hundred and eighty.

Alex Koder

Hi, I'm Tracy. Gods that moment from the campaign and Marisha doing a legit 'where the fuck did that come from'?

LikeCat

Then dont spoil it please... He hasn't even been name dropped in either show yet (other then the end credits of THE episode)

Yoshinatorsaurus

We've actually seen the Traveler before in Vox Machina. I don't blame you for not remembering, but man does it make so much sense, and as someone mostly new to te campaign, it came as quite a plesant shock. Also, it's pronounced [ess-ek], short "e", not long "E".

Yoshinatorsaurus

Poor Yasha. Why do the barbarians ALWAYS have such tragic pasts. Also, her lover has the same voice actress as Adora from She-Ra, Aimee Carrero. She got to BE a muscle woman and date one. So lucky.

Yoshinatorsaurus

That actually was NOT Kronk's VA voicing Pumat Sol, it was Matt Mercer doing a very similar voice. I was fooled too. That guy has a natural talent for voices. Also, While you were pausing during the scene where Trent caught "Caleb," Fjord said "Uhh... nein?" in his normal voice, as a giveaway that it was him in disguise.

Yoshinatorsaurus

That would be wild. I can't wait to get more of Yasha in season two. I hope they can help her get rid of that entity and soon.

Yoshinatorsaurus

Your excitement was so cute, and I totally get it. Tomboys "cleaning up" is one of the hottest things to me as well. Though I'll admit, the dress was a bit too pink for Beau, it definitely should've been blue. I love the shocking valley girl voice, though. It's there you suddenly remember that Marisha Ray also voiced Keyleth.

Thea

58:09 yeah, our group is NOT high level enough yet for this kind of a fight

Thea

59:56 fun fact: those clicky noises is where the slur 'crick' originates from in the campaign. The Kryn soldier's armor looks and sounds quite insect-like, so people in the Empire would compare them to crickets.

Yoshinatorsaurus

Wait, I thought the deal was that the TWO best performing voted on shows would come to YouTube to fill the Tuseday and Thursday slots, and the third one would be a Patreon exclusive. Because they ALL deserve to be watched in full, and I don't know if MLP can compete with Amphibia, since Adventure Time has it in the bag.

Jasmine

21:38 sh..she. oh. Guess I gotta catch up now

Anzac-A1

41:45 Fun fact, we saw The Traveller back in Vox Machina. The Satyr guy transformed into him right after Percy and co left the Fey Realm.
