S2 just has banger after banger episodes!! Been excited for each one!! But this one, THIS ONE both contains a beautiful story and overall amazing!! I remember commander firebrand saying this episode was his no1!

To answer your question at 2:55, yes; because the Extended Theme was created around this time, they re-mixed the instruments and rerecorded the vocals. This version actually debuted in Lesson Zero, alongside the remastered intro (though this episode *does* mark the second change to the intro, as the train in the background got tweaked slightly).

Lauren Faust left the show during S2's production so while her fingerprints are still here later in the season you can tell the show kinda changes gears a bit and I hoped you enjoyed that little scene with Rarity's parents because that's the only time they speak in the whole show.

I knew you'd like this episode! It's also a great example of a GOOD twist. Even if you clock it early, it doesn't ruin the story, and you still enjoy watching it with the context. (Though I think it's hilarious it took you so long to figure out who the Rusted Knight was, but IMMEDIATELY figured out the Rari-Jack switcheroo!" ... I wonder if Rainbow Dash knows how long Applejack can hold her breath?...

Fandom Facts: The Sisterhooves Social (the event, not strictly the episode) meant that all the characters you see paired up are "sisters". So the fandom got a lot of material out of that, including the addition of Amethyst Star to the Derpy Hooves/Muffin family. We see her with the character Dinky Doo (fan name) and since Dinky has similar colors to Derpy the fan-canon of Dinky being her daughter meant that Amethyst was now also included in that family dynamic.

Yes, the S2 intro song is slightly different from S1. Listening to one after the other makes it pretty clear. Also, some stuff in the intro changed too, like Big Mac appearing pulling the cart with Granny Smith (in the old one it was just a generic earth pony). And the train with the CMCs.

Granny Smith already spoke in Luna Eclipsed. I suspect that she already had lines in S1, but I definitely remember that she had them in the last episode.

Yeah, this is a really good episode, and it's actually helped some in the brony fandom actually repair their relationships with their siblings. Can't wait for you to learn the reason Applejack could hold her breath for so long in the mud is because of her missing competitions with Rainbow Dash. Whoever breaks the kiss first loses.

Touching on what you said about Lauren Faust returning for G6; This (to my knowledge) hasn't been confirmed! She attended a panel where they showed a G6 sneak peak, but I don't think she's actually working on G6. Also worthy to note, G6 seems like it's gonna be some sort of G4 reboot? Which I'm not particularly interested in at all. I mean G4 was already fantastic, I don't think redoing it Is going to bring anything worthwhile, but I guess we'll see.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season, especially if you have a sibling lol. On that note, I recently finished Volume One of RWBY and despite each episode having the budget of a ham sandwich with two days to put it together, I enjoyed it quite a bit! Now I’m onto Volume Two 😁.

I wish i could tell you that you can watch VinetaMakes' videos about Pony Genetics but they unfortunately have spoilers. Also Fun Fact: Granny Smith is also voiced by Tabitha St. Germain... the voice of Rarity. She voices Luna, Ms. Cake, the Spa Twins and many other secondary characters in the show.

I feel like even with the right team and tons of money it won't be great purely due to the nature of it being 9 minute episodes. It might not be bad, but I feel like the limitations of that setup alone are enough to hold it back from really doing something great. Though of course there's also the theme song that's already been revealed which sounds....... not great. I've showed it to a handful of friends, both MLP fans and not, and every single one said it had a bit of an AI vibe to it. Not that they think it actually is, but just something about it feels off. And so far the VAs that have been revealed, some of them are great in the example clips while the others feel very... generic and maybe a bit directionless?
