I can't wait for next week's episode. It'll be a good treat when I go back to work.

MaoDoodles

Good catch on the door! The place you're thinking of where the robot was built is the Ruins of Despair.

xattygt

Next week has a top 5 best episode in the series imo 🦋🦋🦋🦋

Iago24

From what I've heard about Oxford and Cambridge, they seem to have their own insane student cultures in spite of all the posh veneer on top. Allegedly, the more elite the student organisation, the more depraved crap has traditionally gone on in their events.

"Lost in Newtopia" Touring a new land? Best respect local culture. Not incite a mob. -Respect Hop Pop's cheese head! Go Pack Go! -Mama Boonchuy sighted! Actually voiced by Matt Braly's mother! -Can't say I've had any cultural clashes when I was abroad. But then I've been told my manners more pass fir European (Scandinavian, to be more exact) than American. -Marcy's withering "Nooooo..." will never not be funny. -A lot of fans paralleled Marcy's "I'mma press it. Boop!" To Luz's "Ooh! Something magical! I'mma put my face in it!" "Sprig Gets Schooled" They grow up so fast. From country boy to student. Perhaps... not just yet. -So begins Sprig's sojourn to becoming Amphibia's preeminent Human Scholar in all of Amphibia! -You thought they were going to steal Sprig's skin! Honestly, Hopediah! That sounds like a ghost story you tell on Halloween! -Sprig is smarter than Hop Pop gives him credit! With his talent and savvy, doors and windows will open for the boy!

Caroline Adams

I suggest a couple tissues for next episode 😃

Now look what you made me do

A.B.

I love when Mosco goes crazy for cute characters lol

Lost in Newtopia: I feel ya Anne. I hated the baby carrots too. “Jokes on you Hop Pop” Guess again. Anne may be from California, but she’s eaten her parents cooking all her life. So if that stuff is too hot for her, then they must be using Carolina Reaper peppers. Dinner at 9 PM? I think that might be more of a Hispanic/Spanish thing. I know that late dinners are thing in Spain which probably carried over to their colonies. Normally I would say yes to apologizing, but when they turn into a mob…. “I’mma push it.” There are a lot of comparisons between Anne and Luz as the protagonists of their shows, but to me Luz and Marcy are spiritual sisters. Sprig gets Schooled: yes it is very much a UK university. No university here would ever attempt to have their students wear that get up to classes. Anne you are too trusting of movies. A thought occurred to me as to how universities are used as a job gatekeeper these days which they were never meant to be.

BakaSama

This episode it occurred to me that the opening does not do justice to just how much of a chaos gremlin Poly is.

This is a message from the NHAS, National Hamish Alert System. The National Hamish Alert System is issuing a Hamish Watch for next week’s episode. All Moscos in the greater Scotland and Northern England regions are advised to have their Hamish or other Highland Cow pals close by. You may not need him, but you’ll be glad he’s close by.

Rixec2

Sounds like my phone habits would fit right in. I hardly ever use it even as a phone. I have people try to encourage me to turn it on more. XD

Get ready for next ep

Haldon Lindstrom

It's funny - I've watched Amphibia through three times now, and I ALWAYS miss these two episodes! It's so weird.

Phoenix_mercury

19:54, also UK and yeah familiar to some degree tho lesser nowadays than they was when I was younger

armadillo_arts

anne’s mom is actually voiced by the creator, matt braly’s mother, on braly!! he struggled to find an actress with a thai accent and cast his mom to maintain the authenticity of his culture and the characters <3 and extra fun fact: you can technically use the “cash only” sign to translate the entire menu and learn the whole amphibian alphabet 👀 i personally recommend waiting, but it is a super cool optional puzzle

Julio Castillo

Oh shit... i just found out that Kai Zen (who voices kid Anne in this episode) is the same girl who played Phyla in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Geass

I never cared for trail mix, even as a kid. I liked the baby carrots.

Ferret

God it's wild to me to remember that this isn't even halfway through the season yet, Newtopia feels like it should be the latter half but they didn't waste any time.

Pikagirl

I text to see if I can call with most people aside from my parents and I'm an American. I think I started doing that because so many of my friends and family have anxiety and don't like talking on the phone. I also don't answer my phone when eating out with people or eating at someone else's house. Basically just stay off your phone if you are eating and you aren't alone. lol

The Wolf of Chaos

Thanks to your channel, can’t remember what other episode you mentioned that whiskey store in before but I know I heard it, I knew not to muck around on my phone with the locals when I visited Edinburgh. Watching your videos and Morgan’s videos on Good Omens also made me sound smart on the Market Street tour. Our guide asked if we knew what made the medical school the best, and knowing about the cadaver sales you mentioned in the videos got the conversation rolling in the cemetery. Can’t thank you enough, since I had a great time on that trip. (I also agree with the Ducktales reactions, haggis is actually not bad, and black pudding has a pretty good flavor, I just had some trouble with both because the textures were weird).

David Johnson

Hey, Californians do flavor. And hot. You just have to make sure first if it's Californian hot or *Thai* hot. There is a difference.

Tristan N Milner

What a funny comment to come across after finishing Batman: Caped Crusader season two. Batman's actor is that show is also named Hamish.

Andy 322

Where do I get that shirt?

Andy 322

Seriously people, what's with all the "next week" reactions? What the hell is wrong with y'all???? Maybe just wait for a f*cking week instead of always posting those "soft spoilers"?

Gone

Some cultures keep the umbilical cord from birth, keeping the tadpole tail feels like an equivalent to that.

Athena

On the note of respecting people's time with phone calls; Oh my gosh YES. I'm American and can confirm that alllll of my friends do that and It absolutely infuriates me haha. I've had to train them to text or discord message me first because they would just endlessly spam call/spam @ me on discord, or spam text until I said something or turned my device off 💀They're better at it now. but there's definitely a trend over here.

marauderluverz (Luci)

I love hearing you talk about yours and Elijah's relationship. My partner and I are long distance in different countries as well. I'm in california and he's in france. It has created a lot of interesting cultural discoveries. I'm also puerto rican as well so it was cool to learn that Elijah is. I enjoy the episodes this season that help build out what Newtopia is like and the different areas of it and different types of people. Can't wait for next week!

Vegvisir92

i like the little detail in Annes flashback of travelling with her mother that the cars have the wheel on the right since Thailand drives on the left like the UK

Pan Boi

I know I'm late, but to add to the consideration of other people's time; I'm from America, more specifically the North West, and pretty much everyone I know will text before calling, unless it's important. Maybe it's just partially because almost everyone I know has some form of anxiety and/or hates random phone calls, but yeah, no, we don't typically just call out of the blue, friends or family. We also always make plans of coming over or having someone stop by, even if there's not a specific time. Sometimes it's just a "hey, can I stop by sometime on Friday?" "Yeah, sure! Let me know when you're on the way!", or it's a "hey, you free at 5 tonight?", but never a random visit. It could just be certain families or certain states, I just know that, in my experience, the people where I'm from try their best to consider other people's time in those regards
