If Eve’s dad made you mad, you would’ve been LIVID if they kept his original dialogue with Mark in the comics and didn’t tone it down for the show. This is the exact monologue he had to Mark but I should mention to prepare yourself with such disgusting lines, I’ll issue a TRIGGER WARNING: “I wanted to thank you... I appreciate you giving her (Eve) a chance knowing you’re not her first. She never got how important virginity is to a woman. Men like to feel like they’re breaking new ground. They want to be the teachers...they want to be in charge. Hard to do that if there’s no corners left unexplored, right? Betsy was a virgin when we got together. You can always tell when you’re with a virgin. They just act differently, less confidence. It’s attractive. Don’t know if I would’ve married Betsy had things been... different. I don’t like coming in second…or third or…. whatever the case may be. It’s good of you to look past my daughter’s obvious flaws. Shows character. I RESPECT that. Of course it’s not the end of the world when a woman knows a things or two, right? SO I GUESS THERE ARE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES...” After that conversation, Mark was completely speechless after he went to Eve’s couch

As uncomfortable as the dinner with Eve's parents were here, in the comics it was SO MUCH WORSE. *shudders* Also yes, Universa is objectively incredibly attractive. Like arguably hottest female character attractive.

Mosco, one thing to note is that Cecil DIDN'T revive Conquest. Cecil kept him locked up until he naturally healed because Mark didn't actually kill him

Ironically, in the comic doesn't he also defend Mark when Eve's mom puts her foot in her mouth a little by bringing up the Chicago incident during dinner? Of course, in the process he talks down to his wife for simply mispeaking and makes things more awkward, so he doesn't get much points for that.

Cecil is such a weird version of the government agent that deals with superheroes. They are usually either so good that they fight the people making questionable choies like mcu nick fury and to a lesser extent comic book nick fury or they are ao questionable they end up full fledged villains like Amanda Waller or man on the wall Nick Fury. Cecil rides the line of understandable generakbmaking the hard decisions but it never feels like those decisions dont matter. I think the only issue with him is he dealt with too many trolley problems. He still feels bad about whatever deciison but he is so used to pulling the lever its second nature and he knows how to sleep at night.

Cecil disnt revive Conquewt. He just didnt let mark finish the job when he was in a weakened state. And im not sure the gda had any technology that will stop a virtrilmite from healing. Its not fully explained how conquest lost his arm yet but that shouldnt be possible. With this contedt I understajd what cecil did. The data of observing a viltrimite heal will be estremely useful. But also yea he should have let mark kill him for good

Loving your reactions to this show! And no, I don't think it makes you a sociopath to agree with Mark's decision to kill Rus (the astronaut guy). Weighing the outcomes, on a rational basis..... sometimes you have to do the "wrong" thing for the right reasons. Mark's reasoning makes sense.

Fun fact: the dinosaur has the same VA as Belos from TOH. Also, a bit of writing that I love: Mark was hesitant to kill and thought his first kill was Angstrom, who turned out to survive. After that he thought he killed Conquest, who also turned out to still be alive. So marks first kill was an innocent.

Yeah....as many people have no doubt already said, I'm not sure why Cecil never implemented the sonar inhibitor in Conquest's ear, might've helped is all I'm saying. That being said you can't fault him for his logic as far as keeping him alive goes, Cecil does not have the knowledge that there are only 50 viltrumites, for all he knows Conquest is but a drop in the puddle in the viltrumite army so he made the choice to take the one chance he might have to actually gain some valuable intel. In his mind if 1 viltrumite is already this much of an issue then an entire army of them would be so much worse that taking this risk was well worth it logically.

For reasons I won't get into, I believe it has only been a couple of weeks since the last season. Because of his Thraxan DNA, Oliver ages at a much faster rate than a human, but it is slowing down as he gets older and his Viltrumite side becomes more dominant. Logically, Oliver would change over the course of the season, getting bigger every few episodes, but, likely to make it easier on the animators, he only ages between seasons. Keep in mind, he is only a couple of years old. PS: Mark's limbs were still broken from his fight with Conquest at the start of the episode. He heals quickly, so it couldn't have been that long.

It's actually only been months, as they stated. Oliver's Thraxan half just keeps him growing faster through adolescence. And Cecil stated before they kept Conquest alive since they wanted to question him about Viltrum since they think thousands are coming. He was meant to be contained and then blown up should he even twitch. That didn't work. I can't wait for you to see Conquest come back and he ends up body swapping with Paul. It actually leads to Conquest getting to appreciate being welcomed by a community with no one fearing him and Paul gets to be a superhero alongside Mark and Oliver. And then he dies. Thanks, curse.

i like the switchup on Universa, at first she was upset that there's another problem, and then switches up when it turns out the new threat is a baddie

It's only been a few months since the last ep. Oliver's Viltrumite DNA is getting more dominant but still ages faster. Yeah it was pretty dumb move on Cecil but you have to understand his POV. He doesn't know that there are only 50 Viltrumites left and he and Mark think Nolan is dead so him trying to get as much info as possible makes sense though he should've put a sonic earpiece in his head while he was still unconscious as a contingency.

I've seen quite a few people confused about Mark's arm and leg, thinking they're prosthetic, which surprises me because if we don't see a character lose limbs and we know they can't regenerate limbs (Conquest was missing an arm and had a prosthetic, so we know Viltrumites can't regenerate to that degree); it's safe to assume the limb is still intact. If it weren't, we'd surely see/have been told that Mark's arm and leg couldn't be saved and had to be replaced, which we didn't get here.

Um Atcually (gods Im doing a LOT of "Um Atcually" and/or Dropout references nowadays) we SEE how Conquest will lose his arm - its either the Purge flashback or the quick flash of "Nolan retteling Viltrumite weaknesses".

Keeping Conquest intact, knowing he would heal, was the blunder of the century for Cecil and his people, but their options were limited, given Mark thought he was dead and then Cecil lied to him, saying he was; They haven't really found a weapon to use against Viltrumites yet so without getting Mark involved they probably couldn't cut off his other arm and legs, or keep only his head and vital organs alive. Containing him to try and use him for information or to develop a weapon to use against him and the other Viltrumites was simultaneously the smart and the dumb move, and you can understand why they did it. However, it is frustrating how poorly planned and executed it was.

I know we see that for Conquest, but I was referring to not seeing Mark lose his arm and leg because I've seen people, including Mosco, think he lost his arm (and leg) and replaced them with Robot-esq prosthetics, not realising those were just casts. We didn't see him (Mark) lose his arm or leg or see him dealing with the consequences of that or being told what happened to his limbs, so I'm surprised so many people jump to that conclusion.

Cecil didn’t heal Conquest, Viltrumites naturally just heal over time as long as their heart is still intact, also I don’t think Cecil expected Conquest to escape as easily as he did as well

Mosco, I love you girl, but Viltrumites have a healing factor. All Viltrumites have a minor Regeneration power that keeps them alive on the verge of death, so that, if they are provided the nutrients (such as while on life support) they will literally rebuild their body while in a medical coma before waking up once fully healed. It's the power that let children survive to adulthood in as terrible as society as they had.

I don't think you've seen much of Brit before - he's interesting. Completely invulnerable to everything, but not super strength or flying or anything. Low level, but even Conquest wouldn't be able to kill him.

Fully agree with you that Donald is a more fit person to lead the GDA. We've seen that he is capable of being as pragmatic as Cecil when it's necessary, but he understands how to handle people so much better.

I could honestly believe it if his body just no longer functioned and the second they took the sequid off he’d just collapse and die ://
