Viltrumites are damn near unkillable as long as you don’t damage their heart or brain, remember in season 2 episode 4, on thraxxa, after Nolan pinned Lucan to the wall through his intestines with the spike from the cave and Lucan came back holding his guts and broke Omni man’s spine? Other viltrumites came back from similar injuries that mark just suffered, in the comics it’s stated mark knocked the wind out of conquest and then started choking him in this fight, no such statement was made in the show, but it’s also worth taking into account that mark was cutting off conquests blood flow to his brain and oxygen flow, hence why the choke actually killed conquest

Also it took conquest just two weeks to come back from Eve burning his skin down to his muscle off and after mark bashed his head in repeatedly, only two weeks for conquest to come back fully healed, but as you saw, fully lost limbs cannot be regenerated, only reattached if salavaged before it’s too late

Nolan having a hard time seeing himself as a villain and not a hero makes sense. Even if he regrets his choices he was seen as a hero on thraxa and then is seen as the universes hope for the war. This return to earth is the first time hes really returning to the scene of the crime. Sure eosode 2 was all that but besides space rider he didnt have anyone to view him as a villain. Certainly needed that wake up call

Same!! Hazbin is great. I think the hate is because they're both on Amazon Prime, and ppl think Hazbin is "stealing" the animation budget of Invincible. Which isn't how that works at all.

Glad to see everyone here! Remember how I said all Viltrumites have a minor healing factor? That's how Conquest healed when held in captivity by Cecil. That's why Cecil was horrified that Conquest escaped.

Its not just about breathing. Hes cutting the blood flow from getting to his head. As you've seen, Viltrimites can recover from horrible injuries that would kill humans. Like Lucan got disemboweled and lived. But destroying their heart or brain will take them out, so depriving his brain of blood flow is what is killing Conquest.

Yeah I have found that I couldn't stand looking at comments sections at ay posts about Invincible because the fans were just ridiculous. All comic readers just dropping spoilers on every last detail, raging about stupid things like the animation budget, crying about Thragg's voice, and melting over sny detail that wasnt exactly the same as the comics. It was just too much. 😅

I don't "hate" it, and I think it's awesome that other people are enjoying it. Never going to poo-poo on someone liking a work of fiction I don't, unless it's like, something that's a vehicle for messaging from a hate group. But I've tried watching it and personally couldn't stand it. I felt like it was trying too hard to be edgy, and it's a musical. I do not like musicals nine times out of ten.

Conquest died from strangulation not suffocation. Depriving his head and brain from recieving blood flow. Viltrumites can go a while without oxygen, blood on the other hand...

Same. I'm usually fine with gore, but this was one of only two scenes I ever struggled to watch a 2nd time. (the other was Re:Zero, when Subaru was getting eaten alive by a horde of Monty Python bunnies. Once I realised they were crawling inside him and eating their way through him, I was seeing that scene on repeat every time I closed my eyes)

Invincible has a very mainstream audience. Hazbin hotel has a more niche one. Its easy in any mainstream fandom to find certain elements who would hate a show like hazbin for many reasons. It should be noted there are a lot of bad invibcible takes about invibcible from the same fans who hate certain characters or choices.

Yep, for other alien species him apologizing in the first place is such a shock and a departure from expected Viltrumite behavior that they are much more willing to hear him out. And his crimes against them are much less personal, not the sort of betrayal that it was seen as on Earth. Debbie and others on Earth give him far less slack because the version of him that they knew for 20 years always should have known better, they don't really understand how deep the Viltrumite conditioning is or much Nolan has changed from how he was before coming to Earth.

There is also something very specific Nolan says in the next episode that might explain why Nolan kinda set himself up with unrealistic expectations on how people like Art would he willing to just accept him and move on. Just making it clear because it seems every content creator seems to miss this, when all the Earth peeps enter the ship Telia tells them all to visit the medbay at their leasure to get a communication chip installed, its assumed they did this because they're able to communicate with the viltrumites in space, it isn't Alan allowing them to through his, they have their own now
