The amount of people who said Thragg was "on fraud watch" after this episode is hilarious. Also, I honestly think the soft, collected voice Lee Pace gives him is fitting for such a cold leader, and hides the beast underneath.

Don't worry, Conquest is still SUPER dead. The joke is they wanted you to THINK his hand would pop out only for nothing to happen. The only way it could've been more diabolical is if the episode aired on April Fools Day instead of one week after.

The thing with burying Conquest is that Nolan sees how easily he could be conquest or conquest could be him. At least hypothetically. Nolan caused like 5 genocides that we know of and was in a pretty mentally abusive relatonshjp with Debby for 20 plus years. Even wkth his feelings towards her his plan and the informaton he kept from her is pretty absuive and manipulative. Even started the relationship on false pretense. If Nolan cam be redeemed, why not conquest? The 1 difference is Nolan did decide to change and make the effort. Also viltrimites do not bury their dead.

The viltrim empire is older than the coalition. Probably by centuries. Nolan is 1000 year old and grew up inside the empire. The coalition just got a tiny upper hand and even then its close. Its real easy to seehow the traitor still dont think theyll win

Invincible S2 was the only season where they released 1 ep a week. S1,3 and 4 were first 3 eps the first week then one a week for the rest of the season so S5 will most likely be released like that. Also in case you didn't know Zoey was actually a guy in the comics. They changed it I think because his design/personality was too similar to Mark and also they wanted to have a female fighter in the war.

And the current stalemate is probably at least partially because they still care to preserve their empire. He has good reason to fear what the Viltrumites might do if they became truly desperate and stopped holding back. They could kill a lot of people before being stopped. Plus, the mole was in pretty deep for a pretty long time, he must have also feared being exposed and executed as a traitor if he stopped being useful to the Viltrumites. Easy to rationalize that he has no choice but to continue betraying the Coalition.

They did change Tech Jacket for that reason, though personally I don't see how Zach and Mark were all that similar anyway; they also said it was because they realised that when they first wrote the series and the character, it was another white guy because they were young and that's what they knew: themselves. Gender-swapping and making character ethnicities more diverse are their 'due diligence', as Kirkman put it. Fun fact: Zoe and her dynamic with her father is actually based on Kirkman's own daughter, Abigail.

As one who read the comics, the end got me too. Given many of the changes they made from the comics I thought they were bringing him back a second time. Ridiculous.
