HELL YEAH episode 3!

I watched this with Not So average fangirl here are my two comments mixed together. The white lotus members seemed to mention nisha had a chaotic style possibly a vatuu nod. But maybe not as was pointed out Korra was like that to and the only past life the Rava a avatar would have access to would be Korra since her fight with Unalok/Vatuu severed her past life connections. I wonder what the spirit world and it inhabitants are like now. Yue may still be an ally but then Ko and Wan Shi Tong will likely still be pissed.I just rewatched korra defeating Vatuu. She purified him and he dispersed. We were told that eventually he would be reborn from Ravaa as light and dark are needed together. If he was reborn whilst still connected and contained in Korra with Ravaa could that have caused the cataclysm, it certainly would make it look like Korra caused it like everyoneseems to think. Would like to hear thoughts. Anything I missed.

Jae assumed his secret keeping mentor who walked down the secret tunnel with 2 secret keeping people shared hjs secrets with those 2. Basicslly figured he was in the avatar support secret base and everyone but him already knew.

If the 2 avatars do end up on the same side, I think this coukd bring a level of balance to the Avatar that we havent seen before. One avatar whose the fighter and one whose the political diplomat. Of course both will need to know some of what the other does but having one focus on each aspect will help a lot. Aang being more diplomat than fighter caused issues. While not kill the firelord was likely the right decision to prevent him from being a matyr, the blood bender father of Amon was able to survive due to that energy bending and teach both his sons and make them become villains. Likewise korra caused problems bedause she was less a diplomat and more a fighter. Having ine of each who work together seems like a great way to bring balance. And it helps prevent the avatar from feeling alone and disperses the power that a single avatar has. Bit of a ramble but 2 avatars is just fasinting in the possibility. I am expecting Vaatu to be involved but that doesnt mean one avatar must be evil. A theory slowly evolving in me is korra faced vaatu again and her solution to that aas to fuse or intertwine vatu and rava into the avatar cycle so vaatu is kept in check by rava

i also think those people are wack tbf. I think it mainly comes from the overt framing and the twins’ names, but Avatar’s creators have always been aware of the narrative it pushes. And i think a story where the world has been believing that the avatar is evil and will cause the end of the world would not be satisfying if the end result is like “yeah but we have another avatar and shes not evil!!” I know mosco isn’t saying that or even implying it bc it is a cool theory, but to me thats what this theory kinda represents? I just wanna also see her other reactions to things in the episode vs her constantly analyzing Nisha’s every move 😭 let the girl be nine.

Yeah, I think that there will be repeated conflicts between Pavi and Nisha that they need to overcome, but I can't see the showrunners making them the good and evil twin.

If the topography has not changed too much since Aan's time (and it shouldn't unless Korra Cataclysm was just that crazy) then the light in the intro that way off on the left when talking about the seven havens absoleutely is in what used to be the fire nation. And it makes sense the other six would be on the same continent, the earth kingdom continent is the main one with only smaller islands otherwise. Also, now that I'm getting a look at the coloring I need to go back to that play about Korra and the cataclysm. I am guessing the colors represent specific city-states but I am also here wondering if the colors represent whatever that thing that was sealed away was. The city looked like it was founded on it.

I don't get "evil" from Nisha. Chaotic definitly, but mostly she's so much like Korra. Head strong, driven, eager to be the avatar and feels the responsibility that comes with. She's simply very headstrong and hasn't been humbled by failure yet. Nothing about that says, "Oh I'm evil coded and going to turn against the others later on."

Now for Mosco Has anyone considered that 1 of the twins could be a dark avatar? after the Whole Vaatu issue during Korra's time. OR That Vaatu returned and caused Korra to lose it. Remember, It was stated 1 great spirit would return through the other if destroyed. OR Some new evil was born as a result of Vaatus potentially permanent defeat by Korra, balancing of the scales and all that. And this new evil won the cosmic battle, creating this dark consumed world. Which is what was stated to happen for a time if 1 spirit destroyed the other. would love to hear your thoughts folks.

My friend thinks the Havens remain separate to prevent wars and global disharmony. He thinks it's a precaution to prevent the rebirth of the Avatar.

Not sure if you got Pavi's name pronunciation yet, but if it's any help, just remember it's puh with a short vowel then vee with a long vowel. If you remember the first vowel is short, it's easier to pronounce it correctly. I feel Karthik is far more likely to seem like he betrayed then but it be a misunderstanding and then he saves them in a self-sacrifice death. Being secretly evil feels unlikely to me. I just feel the reason we don't really trust him is because he is a middle aged man that isn't grandfather age yet which is the age and gender of like 80% of all Avatar villains. lol Jae and Datu feel like they are going to do an enemies to lover plot and I hope Datu remains Jae's endgame. I love his design.
