The beauty of the film is that AVA fools the audience as well. Everybody watching thought she was gonna scoop up the dude on the way out but nah she left him like a used napkin. She used him like we use AI or any other piece of technology, once he wasn’t of any use anymore he was discarded.

I admit, I thought the whole time that Ava was 1.0, Kyoko as 2.0, and Caleb was 3.0 and the dude was testing Caleb using Ava to see if Caleb could realize he himself was an AI... so that twist was an actual twist to me.

Loved this movie! I almost immediately rewatched it to catch more of the nuance. Then had my parents watch it and caught even more. I will never skip a reactor I love who watches this movie. I know it won't get as much love on the channel, at least not on the patreon, but I hope a good amount of people watch it. Amazing movie.

My Generation has seen enough. I used to dream of being able to use a phone without a landline, and being able to see the person you are talking to as a child, and being able to use your watch on your wrist to communicate (like the cartoon The Jetsons) or being able to drive a car that talks to you or a car that automatically drives itself like Kitt on “Knight Rider,” or the concept of having an online Facebook instead of having and actual Yearbook from school as a child, before Zuckerberg was even born, and he actually made it happen. Now, that I have witnessed some of these experiences in my Generation (which I never thought I would) I no longer care for them, and realize how special my Generation is and proud of it.

the writers fool the audience. Living breathing humans are responsible for fooling the audience
