I'm back from vacation, and boy, did I need it. We got back home covered in bug bites and with all these sores in our feet, as well as a stomach bug on my end. But none of that genuinely put me off from how much it was just nice to be offline and away from my usual tasks.

Work has been hellish for me, and I have this one coworker who keeps being super passive-aggressive with me in communications. My therapist advises that I just play ball and ignore it and make nice, which I have no problem doing. It would just be easier if she wasn't someone I had to communicate with every day. But it also put me to mind of the fact that I'm a "content creator" with a community where I get a chance to talk to dozens of completely random people I've never met before a couple of times a week.

It's of course daunting. But moreso than that, something you come to realize the more you do this kind of thing is that most people genuinely have no bad intentions with anything they do in the spaces they're allotted. What I mean by that is that I find it's very easy to be cynical and angry towards someone online over a perceived slight. But I find that most people, especially those in nerdy spaces like ours, are really just trying their best and are really just incredibly awkward.

I was put to mind of this because I notice some other friends of mine who still seem to struggle with this. They come to me for advice and I try to reassure them that it's not as bad as what their mind makes it out to be, but they can't get past it because it's so real and present for them.

I genuinely am so swamped today that I need to run back to work, so I need to cut it off here. But I hope you're all doing well. Luv y'all. Happy jerkin'.
