Thumpa Thumpa Thump! We were SHOCKED by NEXZ’s “Beat-Boxer” music video! First of all, their dancing. How are they moving their bodies like that!? And that breakdancing? They might be the only group pulling this off at that level right now. And the music? Perfect 2000s reminiscence. It wasn’t too obvious, but sprinkled with small nostalgic details here and there (which is honestly the hardest thing to do). Such a great song and album. They are so adorable. But they also work so hard. NexZ versus NexZ versus NexZ. At this point just throw out what you know about song structures 🤣. The verses were long but i love them. Oh I love that you bought up Lose My Breath by Destiny's Child but did you not pick up the fact that the end of the song sounds like the song Like I Love You by Justin Timberlake? Like the section that they were doing the big dance battle portion. I'm not surprised that that's what they were talking about being a boxer on Beat. I love Han-Cs obsession with that one part of the song, but to be fair Hyui was absolutely spitting on that beat and the dance matched perfectly. It would make sense if it was related to Japanese culture considering so many of them are Japanese that would be amazing. Legacy is nice but I feel like you should do I'm Him first. I think it was a pre-release drop but that song is so amazing and it scratches all the good parts of my brain.

Yes, I'm Him was a prerelease. Hyui sets the tone in that song.

Beat Boxer was the title track obv But I’m Him was actually released first- and it’s so good Yu, Haru, and Tomoya actually choreographed most of Beat Boxer themselves. There bts where it shows them working on it and then getting the news that their choreo was selected with just little adjustments here and there and they were so happy. Next To Me was composed (in part) by Tomoya (he’s very proud of it) and lyrics by the members. Legacy is an amazing song I think you guys will love it! They released a performance video for it too 😊 enjoooyyyy Additionally I’d recommend their KGMA performance! Yay another NEXZ reaction! Thank you so much! I was really lookign forward to getting some reactions from you guys that actually talk about the music in their songs and less about the dancing. YES!! NEXZ!!! Let’s go! They are so good and talented. I’ve found a deep love for those boys and they’re always working so hard. The Walking on Water cover as well as the behind the scenes is a must watch for sure. As far as other music. The rest of the album as well as the prerelease mv of "I’m Him" is fantastic. Also a small cute fun interaction on social media of Haru of NEXZ with our Hyunjin of Straykids doing each other’s comeback dance challenges. I know you both can’t get to everything all at once but i’m so happy that there’s more to come

NEXZ is so much fun on variety shows as well. They did 1N2D, Hello 182, where they sing different artist songs on the fly and, of course, their own things on their youtube channel.

You were spot on with the dokkaebi fire — OneLabel seems to be tying in their imagery and lore with the dokkaebi storylines from Stray Kids, and the mv for I’m Him has more obvious parallels using Japanese mythology and traditional imagery like tori gates and yokai illustrations. The dark versions of them in Beat-Boxer have horns similar to their styling in I’m Him. Nallina, Starlight, and Ride the Vibe have a lot more lore-esque imagery as well. As a massive staynex2y and a skz/nexzlore dweller, I’m very excited for you guys to get into the new kiddos because they’re amazing and really deserve it!!

this whole album is in my head every single day. it actually rivals skz right now in terms of what i'm listening to most. I'm Him is soooo good, and Legacy too and..no it's all incredible.
