Jeonghan and Wonwoo… WHAT was this album?! “Last Night” feels dark, cinematic, and dangerously addictive all at the same time. The moment we pressed play, we knew we were in for something special. The storytelling, the atmosphere, the production choices… and of course, their vocals? Absolutely insane. Jeonghan’s beautiful tone mixed with Wonwoo’s deep, steady presence creates such a unique contrast. And yo… not gonna lie, they looked incredibly hot too. The only sad part? There are only three tracks on this album :’( We were NOT ready for it to end that fast. the storyline was created by a sci-fi novelist! i think you should defo check out the audiobook because to this day it’s still the MOST interesting concept and storyline to me!! it’s so interesting and well thought-out. Without spoiling it, Jeonghan and Wonwoo are both a version of “this man” but in an entirely different way!

The moment I saw the notification for this video, I dropped everything and watched it. THIS MAN IS SO GOOD!!!!! The power of Last Night cannot be overstated. It remains in my top 3 favorite unit song of any SVT unit up until now. The lore from the audiobook is insane and makes a rewatch of the MV so much more entrancing, and like you guys guessed, yes - the solo tracks are the POVs of both Jeonghan and Wonwoo from the story. Highly recommend listening to the audiobook for the full experience. The entire story of the album was written by Cho Ye-eun, who is an award winning thriller and horror novelist, and it adds to the depths of the album on all levels. I think it's the album with the greatest concept of all units. If you ask why Jeonghan and Wonwoo as a unit, well. It came as a surprise to them too, when the company suggested the pairing to them. On top of that, it was likely a strategic move because of their popularity in Japan, with Jeonghan being so famous in Japan some people know him without knowing Seventeen, and Wonwoo is close behind him. Most of the promotional ads were in Japan too. The album had to be kind of short because Jeonghan enlisted about 3 months after it came out, and they were also touring and doing the Maestro comeback while working on it. But hopefully when they come back we'll get at least a mini album! I love both Beautiful Monster and Leftovers, but Leftovers is a bit more special because it's a really dear song to Wonwoo, and he performed it on his last appearance in Caratland 2025 before he enlisted the week after. The First Take video is another favorite of mine, and the performance is super worth it to watch. Basically, lots of stuff left to This Man!

Personally this unit is my favorite with DxS, cause it was unexpected and gave us something new. JxW came up with concept and I think it shows their a unique and a bit quirky sides. Mostly units were decided by company and most likely by enlistment order. Also both of them are the most biased members, which probably was a factor too.

omg a surprise This Man reaction drop???! YES!! I miss these two so much 🥹 But not to worry, Jeonghan's coming back real soon this year and Wonwoo's at the halfway point of his service. I guess this duo was also born out of the fact that they're first to enlist in the group. Unfortunately, the promos and album itself had to be short since they were preparing this in between svt's already hectic schedules that year. But still, concept-wise, they went all out with the story and I cant wait for you to dive deeper into it. Just to let you in an inside joke they said that Dino is the leader of their unit 😂 as CEO Picheolin and his two artists, Leo and Charles lol. The way I smiled the moment I saw the notification in my email. Oh, how much I waited for this. CARATs refer to this unit as the start of their military era because both were the first two to enlist, but we also think it was quickly put together so that's why there's only the Mnet performance and various other media and special promotions. They did perform it during CARATLAND 2024 but that was all we got😭. The concept for 'THIS MAN' went crazy and even I haven't fully finished the audiobook but it is really interesting. I honestly love how it screams elegance and just quite literally JxW; I'll admit it, I go back to LEFTOVER more than the other two tracks because of Wonwoo's voice and that key change?? I mean, YEAHHH. But I also love how BEAUTIFUL MOSTER showcases Jeonghan's whole aesthetic, pretty and full of expectancy. While LAST NIGHT provides such a new sound and the way their voices just fit so well. Ugh, can't wait for them to come back and give us another album, the people deserves it.

omg what a surprise! i remember how surprising and random it felt when this unit was announced hehe. i wish the promotion could’ve been longer/bigger! but it was a great start to the duo units :)

Leftover is such a special song. Wonwoo helped write and compose it with Woozi and Bumzu. Wonwoo said it expresses the longing for someone who has left (passed away) and the resolve to wait while bearing the pain, like a trash can waiting in the corner of a room. Although I don't think he ever explicitly said it, a lot of carats speculate he wrote this song to expresses his grief after his mom passed away, so its a very special song for carats and you can really hear his emotion when he sings it ❤️

What a surprise, so so glad you reacted to this album! It is without a doubt my favourite album of the units that have come out so far! As for who I want, I'd have to go with: I want Wonwoo, but I want to be Jeonghan. My favourite track is Leftover. I love love love Wonwoo's singing voice and thought this song suited him so well! This style of ballad with more powerful vocals is just chef's kiss for me, and Leftover ranks right up there with some of my favourite vocal unit tracks from Seventeen. I agree that Beautiful Monster felt very tame, or safe as Han-C put it in comparison to Leftover. Last Night was great, and is also up there for me as one of my favourite songs from any of the unit albums, but Leftover is the undisputed #1 by far. Yes, please do check out the audiobook! It's a huge and interesting chunk of their lore/story. That's also where you'll be able to connect the solos Beautiful Monster and Leftover. And just appreciate the whole concept cos it's so gpod from the storyline to the visuals and their performances (even the Last Night choreo aligns with the lyrics).

it's really fun to see the way you both try to guess what genre an svt song will be 😆 with seventeen, i've learned to listen to their songs/watch their videos on a clean slate each time coz i always guess wrong each time 😅 hope you get to watch the inside seventeen of each album as well. you'll get to see more of how each song/album is created

I feel like and this a totally my personal opinion but I think this happens with Jeonghan a lot where they don't really experiment much with his voice i don't know if that is his personal choice or a company choice but yeah. OH MY GOD WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE! absolutely loved seeing you losing your minds over the music video and being right about the THIS MAN reference! I totally second watching through the teaser materials including the audiobook — the lore goes deep with this one! a fun fact is they wanted to call this duo 도시 전설 which would have gone hard given the concept too but plybe didn't have enough whimsy in their heart and we got JxW and the same naming pattern continues for duos. another fun fact is their their leader is Dino, best leader imo. do not question the process. the unit duos are basically the enlistment era duos, sorta in the order that they're enlisting (except coups in coupsgyu). JxW kicked that off and pretty sure it's gonna be vershua or verdi next. i am still salty we didn't get as much promo with these two, given other svt schedules and that they had to leave soon but I love everything about it. wonwoo performed Leftover live in caratland (which was also his last official schedule before military training) and it's now my go to video for whenever I miss him and would love for you to react if you're doing performances for this album: https://youtu.be/o-C_21mTkgI

I was so surprised and happy with the reactions! The unit is yes, due to enlistment turns and highlighted unique partnership between Wonwoo Jeonghan too. Fun Fact: 1. The reason the tracks felt not continuous to both of you is because there is characters in for Jeonghan and Wonwoo respectively. 2. The solos serves as characters arc as this unit concept is urban legends. 3. In Last Night, Jeonghan is the villain who seducing people to fell deep in their own sweet dreams. It is said that Jeonghan was trap in his own beautiful dreams and got lost in it eventually he became the beautiful monster who trap people to be with him in the dream. The reason why is solo track is easy listening but got subtle dark distortion is because that is the lullaby he used to seduced the victims. 4. Wonwoo on the other hands are the one who noticed people being trapped in the sweet dream, and he has power to wake people up back to reality. The reason he kept drinking lemon juice is to stay alert and awake. He is chasing Jeonghan from dream to dream and finally in their final duel, Jeonghan surrender and wake up from his dream. Leftover; yes it does have dedication to his mother but also serves as his character arc in the album. The lonely selfless with subtle sadness man who would gave everything, become the trash can that you can pour all your sadness and loneliness so he could hold you to make you feel better. 5. The budget is budgeting as they have Korean legendary guitarist featured, famous horror dystopian novelist to construct the audiobook and the whole lore based on “This Man” urban legend. The unit is looking forward to continue exploring more urban legends concept in the future cuz this is actually their common interest. 6. And the whole album is produced by Woozi Bumzu highlights both of their versatilities. Anyway. Looking forward to the next one! Love, a Sausage and a Carat. 🌕💍

Also hope you checked out Pinocchio tracks from Howoo too to complete the album 🤓 More unit album to checked out, the whole BSS album (2 album) And Seventeen only starts to have unit official releases now in enlistment eras. They usually released tracks in the Seventeen Album instead so felt little in 10 yers career I know but as them focused heavily on team album, it is inevitable.

I think it's his personal choice. He likes warmth and comfort. Even his previous unofficial solo (DREAM) and the cover songs he released lean on similar vibes.

O-emmmmmm-geeeeee! Finally🥹 Having wonwoo as my bias, and jeonghan as one of the top on my bias line,this unit is such a gift. The contrast on their voice on Last Night is a chef kiss. 😘 and yes the look so hot😭😭😭 Leftover is on my top svt song(putting wonwoo as my bias aside).i love the song so much it makes me cry everytime. The staff who initiated and completed this project are simply too talented. I'd anticipated there'd be fans of gothic aesthetics from the outset. The music is fresh too, and the guitar work is superb. J×W have long been described as anime protagonists, but this work's execution has truly won me over! 先ず企画をスタートさせて完成させたSTAFFが有能過ぎる 前からゴシック好き？の方がいると予測。そして音楽も新しいしGuitarが素晴らしい J×Wは前からアニメの主人公達と言われていたけどこの作品の仕上がりには納得しました！

Jeonghan and Wonwoo picked Dino as their leader on their one and only music show performance (please react to it too), and Dino didnt even know about it until SVT reacted to JxW's music video and thats when they told him here in this video, SVT's reaction to Jeonghan and Wonwoo's MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9IxBlu8dVE.

This unit was the start of them putting out music as duos along with SVT's own schedule before military enlistment started, as with others Jeonghan and Wonwoo were doing multiples duties all at once (participating in SVT's full schedules at the time, preparing for SVT's upcoming schedule and album, working on their unit JxW album and performance, AND preparing for the content that will be released while they are in the military which is a monthly content, all of it at the same time). They also had their perfromances at the festival coming up such as Glasto and Lolla Berlin, Jeonghan basically didnt have enough time until he was to start his enlistment, thats why we didnt get a longer album and enough promotions and concert with these two, since they left one after another for the military while preparing and participating for everything. However Pledis did learn to schedule things a bit better with the next duo up for military (HxW), and their enlistment letters showed a much later date, thats why HxW were able to prepare longer album, have more music shows appearence and have concert for their album, and the same goes with CXM, and now DxS onwards.
