Back with BTS and this time, it's HOOLIGAN.

Even more music stuff to go through than 2.0, and just as interesting lyrics stuff as Body to Body :D OH and don't even get us started on the Dance Practice cuz that shit went WILD.

Again, shoutout to the back dancers cuz they REALLY made everything feel better—not to mention effectively capturing the idea of Hooligan.

Can't imagine what Aliens gon be like, but we did hear from a lot of you that it's one to pay attention to :) AND it's another Mike WiLL Made-It track. Excited to say the least :D

See you all in that one, and as always, questions are welcomed.

Enjoy <3

As far as I know Jung kook had his hand on this song. They talked about it somewhere.

Hooligan is an interesting track for me, there are parts I really love (the sample, the pre-chorus, Jimin's beautiful voice on the bridge(?), j-hope's verse) so many elements that are amazing but for some reason the song doesn't hit the way wanted it to. I think part of it is the chorus, which I feel like I could've liked if the rest of the song was different. It's so hard because I really can't put my finger on what I was hoping for, I'm just always left with an unresolved feeling of wanting something else. They definitely are not shying away from the message of this being a new era for the group, one word I would use to describe the album overall is unapologetic. They are very much presenting what they want to sound wise, and you can take it or leave it. Aliens is my favorite track from the first half of the album, looking forward to your reaction to it! And since it's coming up soon I'd recommend pairing the interlude No.29 with Swim, also potentially re-listening to 2.0 on your own right before. Not necessary by any means of course but will offer the full experience of that part of the album.

I'm having so much fun seeing you react to BTS! I can't wait to see what you think of the rest of the album. For future songs that don't have a music video, I would recommend staying away from Jaeguchi's lyric videos. There are usually a lot of incorrect lyrics and I know the translation for the next song, Aliens, definitely has problems. Shadowbyyoongi usually has pretty good lyric videos, although there are some occasional mistakes in some videos.

Ok… if you’re digging J Hope’s aura, you need to check out Mona Lisa and Killing it Girl!

This is one of my faves from the album. The dance practice is so energetic (never seen dancers do that smoke effect before!) and yes I would love to see more behind the scenes content - I'm assuming that now they're older they're choosing to do less of the 'talking to camera' stuff while they're working. Jin is such a goofball but then will indeed catch you off guard with beauty!

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the vocal shouts are actually coming from the dance directors and people who are behind the camera that you can't see on screen (and therefore closer to the camera mic). When I've watched the concerts I've seen the dance directors on side stage directing in the mic so I wonder if they're using those shouts as cues as well. Hence why we hear them so much here. It was super interesting seeing how they manage the formations using a program

Small thing, but I think this is such a cool location, used for Ateez MATZ video too I think (particularly the performance video) Wonder if it's in any others?
