Thanks, Sausages :D

It's time for SVT Thanks! :):)

Yes, it's been some time, but the song is still just as good as it was the first time :D and since we had 3 different videos to watch,...YEP.

As we ALWAYS say with things like this, we can and will eventually go back and check out more vids for select tracks (or all tracks, who knows) so do not worry if your link didn't make it here :D

And this is kindddaaa off topic but if we were to check out SVT concert (and I think we asked this before passingly), which one should be the VERY FIRST one to check out?!

With that, Run To You next! :D Fun links will be appreciated <3

ENJOY!

Yeah, love that chant!! 13 names in 5 seconds!! Thanks is the song I compare to Trauma a lot, like for me it is just as raw and expressive, so emotional. I love this song. This performance reminds me of the Home, Clap & Aju Nice performance SVT did where the fans had a surprise for them. If you guys could at the end of this album react to tis video too, it is amazing what the K-Carats did, you can see how happy and surprised the boys were in the video. 300 fanchant - https://youtu.be/2l3OyUIdJVw?si=xQePPn7mtoIUxYgZ (this has Home, Clap & Aju Nice) For Run To You I love this stage mix - https://youtu.be/uRZDg9zHahM?si=XS0fGjHE9bGM-Bt-

fyi the choreo incorporates sign language for the word promise & thankyou, also i love that they had zero english in this song, one of the best fan songs ever!

Salwa

Yeah this and Don't Wanna Cry have similar vibe for me, and it brought me back all the way to their debut reality TV show. Oh my Pledis days ❤️

ddaddu

I can do the fanchant this one is easy however the Getting Closer one is crazy

Han-c put it perfectly: THANKS has this aching feeling. It's beautiful and it transcends languages. Each performance just feels beautiful and I don't even have words for it... It's just GOOD. The dance actually has two major points people like: in the first chorus, they use sign language as part of the choreography and it says "thank you", and the second you probably noticed but it's the intertwining of the pinkies where their rings are as the promise to be with the fans. And yes I can do the fanchant and this isn't even the fastest version of it. You actually checked out the song that has the fastest and hardest version of it - Getting Closer. We rap the full names by age order going down and then going up in 15 seconds. When you get to that album I will make sure to find a good video that showcases that fanchant because it's the first one I learned and then I felt like I could audition for Show Me The Money and win. About concerts: You could go by chronological order if you want but honestly I think you could also go ahead and watch Diamond's Edge immediately, but since I'm sure that going by chronological order is best for experience, LIKE SEVENTEEN BOYS WISH 2015 is the first ever concert they did, so you can watch that or the encore of it from 2016. I think the encore is better because if I remember correctly (it's been a while) the first concert was divided into 3 days and each days had a different unit so it's not all of them on stage. NEXT WE GOT RUN TO YOU! Another aching beautiful song in my opinion! For me the fanchant going in order was not as hard but doing backwards, ESPECIALLY doing it without last names😵‍💫 I start out okay then I relise that I said the same name 3 times.... I think it would be fun if you guys to do fanchants special later on!!

Caia Dawn

If you are going to watch a full concert video please do diamond edge.🙏

PinoyAkoPH

As another Carat stated, they incorporated sign language in the choreography! I believe the interlocking of pinkies means "promise" in KSL and doing a chopping motion on top of your left hand means "thank you" in KSL (they do it at the end of gomabda the "da" part). While they're doing the repeating chant of gomabda in the pre chorus, the other members are doing the sign language and their formations spell out THX. Each chant of the gomabda spells out "T" "H" "X". Very fun incorporation!!

Related to the caption, for your first SEVENTEEN concert reaction, I'd recommend the 2017 Diamond Edge World Tour. It includes all album you've reacted to so far, except Teen, Age. It can be a little tricky to find because it's not available on Weverse. I watched it for free on Bilibili, although the quality wasn't the best since I didn't have an account. Also, Pledis split the concert into three releases: the first covers the first half of the concert, the second includes the rest of the concert plus behind-the-scenes footage, and the third is dedicated to the unit stages. So if you decide to react to it, I'd recommend asking more Carats about the best way to watch it for the full experience.

I've never seen another choreography where every emotion is poured out in each movement and they literally throw themselves in gratitude. Thanks is definitely one of their most beautiful choreos ever. Aside from the sign language, its not very obvious but at around 3:14 of this vid the members that stand up spell 'T' 'H' and 'X' in succession --- such a cool detail! And same Han-C, everytime Woozi's voice comes through, I see the clouds open up to the gates of heaven. Gets me everytime. And I love the silliness and coolness of the relay dance! Dino killed it. SVT concert to watch? I really want to see Ideal Cut or their Japan Arena Tour! Just the perfect mix of performances you've seen before and new performances you haven't ~ Run To You links! (I wonder if you remember, but you've actually heard this track before! Not saying from where tho 😁) - Lyrics Vid: https://youtu.be/7QGXsQklZgo?si=5eZo5vOlcBn1Zf73 - Stage Mix: https://youtu.be/uRZDg9zHahM?si=3TJnXl2xmVy-IoNd - Gaon Chart: https://youtu.be/yOU8tNucSdE?si=v8sCjQpirQ163Vrq - Happy Burstday Stage: https://youtu.be/Luj0ED8pDXY?si=Q2lDBVcXeIBy6Kdy

Thunder Monkey

Either Lolapalooza or Glastonbury!!!!! Show stoppers! Raw talent in full Seventeen glory! Festival style. These e get my vote. Real live vocals anyone?!?! Vote here with a heart.

Thanks for me is a song I need to see with the performance, the choreography 100% makes the song iconic and I don't get the same depth from it when I just listen to the song by itself. The dance is just so so beautiful and intricate and powerful all at the same time, and something that is so clearly unique to Seventeen. On a less serious note, every time I see Woozi in group choreo I'm hit with the realization that I'm even shorter than him and would look absolutely miniscule in comparison to the rest of the members. And yes, I believe Dino is on the shorter side compared to the rest of the members, I think he would fit right in the SKZ height range actually XD. I also loved that Woozi managed to pass off the chorus parts to Dino twice in a row in the relay dance, and of course Dino killed it! It was so odd only seeing each member go twice though versus other groups we've seen that are able to cycle through more frequently. I'm not super familiar with most of the SVT concerts/which ones are best/most iconic but just based on what's been recommended before I think either Diamond Edge or Ideal Cut would make the most sense for you to check out first!

Mi

I would love if you would check out all the different fanchats for the songs sometime. Carats are amazing, you need to be singer, rapper and dancer for the fanchants. Only first names of the fanchants is okay, full name is very hard, and full name in both ways is so impossible, but i try :D And for a first concert: I would like you to start with the very first one, Shining Diamond, or with Diamond Edge.

SVT's Riza

THISSSS THIS PLEASEEE THE 300 FANCHANNNNNTTTT

Erika

Thanks choreo is so beautiful, the way they throw themselves on the ground is always so striking, all the emotions and the grace in their movements, but also the power! And like others have said, they incorporated sign language and the "THX" formation that was added on purpose so that Carats in the higher floors could see the message as well! Run To You is one of my favourite SVT songs, like overall top 10 favourites. I think the stage mix that others have suggested is a good idea, or Ideal Cut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm_C2eLxbCw Or if you want to try something different they have a Japanese version of the song, this is the Hare fanmeeting performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq2BkAmCBig As for which concert to watch, I think Diamond Edge could be a good start. It's early enough in their journey and would match the timeline you are in (2017). Also I remember you enjoyed the stage layout and all the colorful outfits in some of the videos you watched, so now you can finally watch it in its entirety! The only problem will be to find a good link for it though..

Thanks is such an amazing song waaah! I love Director's cut as Run to you is also one of my favs!!! Thanks has an amazing choreo too with the THX and sign language and all! WOW! The fan chant tho! Waaah! Thanks is hard with 13 names in 5 seconds, but wait till you see 숨이 차(Getting Closer) fan chant where carats say all 13 members' full names in descending age-order and ascending age-order. HELP! Just the 13 member names I can tell in order, but not this fast lol. I remember someone giving a tip to learn it as a lyric to a rap song, and that would help. Maybe should try that hahaha. But yea thanks for the reaction! ^^ See you next time~~ P.S. I was lucky to see them perform Thanks during the Follow tour in 2023 (though it was only 11 members as Coups and Hannie were injured)

Dawndream

thanks is still my favourite title track to date from seventeen's discography! and yes, i can do that fanchant XD i practiced for so long until its basically muscle memory now! and i still do it when thanks comes up on shuffle for me LOL as the others have mentioned in previous comments, the choreo incorporated sign language! run to you is epic! can't wait to see your reactions to it :) (edit: i went to refresh my memory, thanks doesn't connect to any other song in terms of choreo, but the start and the end of the song are in the same pose!)

Alex

Thank you for the reaction <3 All of their concerts worth to check ;) If you are planning and will be able to do more then one I suggest to start with: Ode to You World Tour concert, it was made before covid (the covid hit before they reached Europe TT) and includes a lot of tracks you have already checked. (The Hit The Road documentary was created during this tour). One of my personal favs is Be The Sun World Tour, the one that was next, the album is amazing and they were extremely happy to be back performing TT. Once you check the album, I am sure you will want to see this one especially. This album was special, every single track on the Face the Sun album is sung by all thirteen members. The Follow tour that was next and has one of the best set lists in my opinion but SK was absent from the first tour part and later Jeonghan and S.Coups were missing due to the injuries, so it is better to check: 'Follow Again' encore where they are ALL TOGETHER (Nissan Stadium - again TT iconic). Right Here World Tour is major in svt history, I love the set list so-so much TT P.S.: I know I am being greedy when I say it, but I really would love you to check the most recent one they had (9 member one), the encore of the New_Tour, it marks a special date, as after this we will have to wait for awhile to see OT13. I doubt it will be supported tough TT

Alex

300 fanchant is sooooo good TT

Fay

“There’s this aching feel” SO TRUE! I find it so hard to describe how this song makes me feel because it’s just soooo beautiful

Fay

Yes! Each chorus has a different choreography. The whole performance is so stunning to watch, and the way they incorporate sign language is so seamless and beautiful!

Mikayla

I have tried to be good at the fan chants, but I suck pretty bad lmao. On another note, "Thanks" is an amazing song, and I always get chills when listening because of that aching feeling, like Han-C said. I also adore this choreo!! This is one of my favorite styles of choreo, and I love the Korean Sign Language aspects that they include in the chorus part of the song. As for Run to You, I think there's the lyrics video, and then there's a stage mix, and there's also a clip of them performing it at their 10-year anniversary show as 11 members. Anniversary show: https://youtu.be/Luj0ED8pDXY?si=UjUaRsa9Rz3mEiwU Stage Mix : https://youtu.be/uRZDg9zHahM?si=9RNOh1kbc0VDXebz

This fanchat I didn't want to feel left out so I practiced it on my own HAHA and I do it every time I play Thanks just so I wouldnt forget 😆

syfrzip

seventeen fanchant is definitely one for the books in kpop! thanks for the reaction & your insights on the song! as for what concert to watch, it would depend on what approach you want to take. if you don't mind spoilers of songs then you can start of with Glastonbury (not on yt) or Lollapalooza Berlin or their 10th Anniversary Jamsu Bridge (both uploaded in yt) - it's just that no subs available. however i wanna suggest you watch their fms/cons the way you did with their discography coz you'd learn more of them & see their growth as a group & as idols in a different light. you can start off with their 1st one. since they have multiple stops you can do a poll or ask which stop to watch since every stop has each own vibe & atmosphere. you can check the list of their tours here - List of Seventeen concert tours | Seventeen Wiki | Fandom https://share.google/bm4tMOgSBc5hR5Tf9 *for me hope you don't leave out the japan stops coz i love all their japan stops 🥹

raye

I was hoping you guys would check out the unofficial hippop team performances before diamond edge because some of the performances are in it. it would be cooler to watch in order for growth but Diamond edge setlist is far more longer. Seol- Boys wish 2015 , Asia- Shining Diamond 2016, World - Diamond edge 2017 and there is Caratland 2017. I do like boys wish but diamond edge is my fav

T. A

Please start with the 2017 Diamond Edge World Tour

Hansol's Gums

I can only get to Junhui/Moon Junhui before my brain blanks in the fanchant T^T I'm so thankful that concert culture in the Philippines is different because we tend to just sing and dance with the artist all the way with some fanchants in between XD (because I cannont for the life of me rap 13 names in order and back oh gosh) Some fanchants require singing (Fallin' Flower) and choreo too lmao at this point carats can be idols too XD This choreo is one of my faves first because of the waves and all but especially after I learned that they incorporated KSL in the choreo aaaaaaa The talk about the unresolved/resolved was interesting to me even as a non musician like my thought process when you mentioned that was like: wow is that how songs can influence what the listener feels too?

carat sebongie

I can do this fanchant but the Getting Closer one I can get going one way in order but for the backwards i get to woozi and mix up the members order, say the wrong names or I literally lose my breath 😆 it's like Seventeen is saying Carats aren't supposed to breathe during fanchant just like Seventeen as a group is barely allowed to catch their breath during their choreography

ashonashonash

I can deffo do this one, but some of the other ones trip me up

gyuzii

the notorious 5 second member name chant bahaha to this day I still use it to do a “roll call” to see if all members are present in a picture or video LOL

sabaninotte

There's been a joke in the fandom for a long time of when Carats were going to debut because of the fanchants. We've had to rap, sing, and dance. We're all-rounders! lol I can do the Thanks fanchant because I spent weeks practicing it. Getting Closer though, I will never get T-T
