Not sure how many knife dudes will watch this but they should. Here's another fun TNP booth experience with another great host. We focus on WE/Civivi Knives and do fly bys on many models. Some are amazing, others not so much and I say why. But we continues to make strong, attractive blades that intrigue me. Many are much lower priced than its US produced counterpart. Kyle tells his amazing  Cougar story too.

Hell of a review. It’s the total package.

I love WE knives. But I don't like that they run their premium steels at the bottom HRC. They charge you extra for 20CV but it can't even hold an edge as long as S30V because they have it down in the 58-59 HRC range. I'd rather they give me a lower steel with good heat treat and charge me half the price. There's a lot of companies doing this right now and I feel it's a problem in the Knife world. I believe the reason is because these steels take a lot more time to grind and they go through more sanding belts when the steel is heat treated to its proper range. But they tell you it's to make it easier for you to sharpen, which is BS in my opinion. Companies like Spyderco get it right because they care about steel performance. If they can do it so can everyone else.

I like the review, but frame locks and expecially liner locks don't appeal to me. Sticking my finger in the path of the blade is always a compromise when we have plenty of other locking options, and this is more of a criticism of the WE line

That was a wild cougar video. Never expected to see the dude involved outside of that video. Very cool. Needs to start packing heat on his trail runs though.

That funky transitionable push dagger/fixed blade at the start is really intriguing. On BHQ the WE titanium ones are out of stock and quite expensive, but the Civivi versions are only about $65. Worth picking up as a novelty for the collection imo

Sure do, I’ve bought some TNP ones too. But I don’t nerd out over steel types and lock ups like other guys do apparently. Just doesn’t interest me.

Love the idea of a pocket knife with integrated tweezers. The two position one is cool too.

Can confirm, really interesting knife. Never owned a push dagger before but now that I have it in hand this one makes so much sense. The geometry of the hinges is really interdasting
