Believe it or not, this is a touchstone gun for our family. Dial into this feature length GRV and I'll tell why the Star BK and BKM series of pistols were way ahead of their time, how Dad carried it, and how it still is a viable combat pistol! A lot of never seen before Nutnfancy family photos make their way into this GRV also.

Wow never expected this one! Lol I actually have one in 9x23 I got for $50 a long time ago and it's been pretty darn amazing and better than the 1911 in some ways. Dang near .357 power in a easy to carry 1911 style platform.

Loved the stories and pictures!!! It went too quick!

Todd Strelka

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the old family photos. The nostalgia is neat, especially with Mrs. Nutnfancy's old VW Golf. We appreciate you instilling the non-victim mentality in us. Always armed!

Todd

Long before my dad passed, I made a deal with him on some iconic firearms. And when he did leave us, my siblings had no idea that they had still existed ha ha

Great review as always nutnfancy. Love the longer reviews. Long term donor

OMG so so, true. I knew everything my parents had and yes they had a dildo, LOL. I grew up on a ranch and we had vacant mobile homes on the place. I once went snooping around and noticed that one of the mobile homes was locked, I was like WTF! I promptly went and found the key box, (still have it to this day!) which had all the keys to the ranch in it. I quickly found 2 identical motorcycles covered with a sheet. I was like WTF?!?! later one of these was given to me for my 12 year old birthday. we had a glass gun cabinet too! my dad did lock up the 22 LR ammo because I shot shit around the place I shouldn't have. fence post tops, etc. shotgun ammo was available at any time.

I love my little Star BM. Great trigger for a mil-surplus gun. Your comments are turned off on YT.

Justin Wingerter

Nutn, think the wrong version of the video got uploaded or so6because the review just cuts off while you are talking about the grips!

Sounds like a good vid. Thanks for the weekend entertainment.

Matthew Sinn

Yo that Warrior in white is sick

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

I have a star bm-9, cool little gun. Unfortunately the little loop under the barrel that the slide release pin goes through broke.

Matthew Sinn

Yeah only 12-ish minutes and cuts off abruptly

Matt W Plank

We were having a good time, until 12 minutes…😊

Todd Strelka

I'm sure Nutn will fix the video and re-upload soon.

Matthew Hargis

The Star BM is a hidden gem. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the story. Unfortunate that it was cut short. Thanks Nutn for the very entertaining videos.

Seeker Keyl

Can't wait for the rest of this. I've loved those stars for years. Have yet to go to the trouble of sourcing one. Here's a question: new production 9mm 1911 or the star?

Clint Allison

What car are you guys standing in front of with the sweet pedestrian killing mirrors?

Lauren C.

Looking forward to watching the full vid. I picked up a Star BM a few years back to get that 1911 itch taken care of. I made the mistake of letting my best friend try it on a range trip...now its left to her in my will 🤣. Well worth it!

Joshua Wilson

Awesome! I have some garage activities planned this weekend. I needed a new feature length GRV.

Todd Strelka

That was his dad's AMC Javelin.

Steven Salina

I think the wrong video got uploaded. This one cuts off at 12:14.

Robert Plested

Seemed to end abruptly for me as well.

PATRICK C BUBB

Thanks for sharing your stories... was fun to listen.

Tygre

Magnum P.I. (Tom Selleck) used a Star often.

Andrettski

Javelins are cool muscle cars which unfortunately had too short of a run. Two of my friends in HS had them.

Clint Allison

They are extremely rare in my area. There just wasn't much of an AMC base locally. Something cool I had read is that the Javelin was designed to compete with the Corvette, not the pony cars of the day. I wish there were more around to enjoy today.

You can tell the year on your BM by looking at the front right side of the trigger guard. My buddy has one from 75. It gives you the year of acceptance into the Guardian Civil for inventory purposes. Great vid Nutn! Memories are precious and you represent family legacy in a special way. Thank you!
