Here is about 70% of what I had to prep and take for Op V.  All laid out on a driveway I'll do a quick flyby on the items so you can get a feel for the logistics...it's a lot!  I term any multi faceted, multi day trip in testing an "operation" and Valkyrie certainly qualified.

Here's just a smattering of these items:  comms, batts for comms, suppressors, muzzle devices, magazines for each system, binoculars, hearing protection x3, spotting scopes x 2 (which saved the op as you've seen), gloves x5, slings, boots x2, clothes x4, shooting rests x3, tripods x4, PelTor LiteComms x2, 2W handheld radios w/ batts, knee pads, ammunition x 10, huge target holder, huge targets, electrical/duct/clear/helicopter tapes, laser rangefinders x2, T1000 electronic hit detector + batts, FAK Level 1+ and Level 2, shooting glasses x3, music devices, Honda Generator, gas cans x2, water cans and bottles x 6, food x10, gun cases x 6, truck tent, sleeping mattress + inflator, sleeping bags x 2, pillows, bug juice, sunscreen, buckets, trash bags, cooking materials x 10, locking devices to prevent trailer theft, steel targets x5, multiple bins, stapler + extra staples, Olight flashlights x 4 w extra and charged up 18650 batts, many tools for vehicle and gun repair, and much more!

About 3 days of preparations precedes the loadout where all the items are gathered and double checked.  The "Two is One" principle has to be applied as all things fail out there and we are remote.  Going back to get somethings is out of the question, we make do with what I've brought.  Each shooting discipline will need different supplies, ammunition, specialized targets, shooting support materials, and optics.

Experience helps a lot and know what will be needed...be I still get surprised sometimes!  A standard outing to test guns will have a very similar loadout...just minus the camping gear.  It takes two days to clean, service, and re-store the items after every testing event.

Nutn You should do a video on the Don Bradley incident in Georgia. Unbelievable and it’s needs more exposure.

Todd

That’s a crazy amount of prep. Thanks for giving a look into what is involved in your reviews. Certainly gives me a new appreciation for what you do. 🙇

David Gaines

Love these! Keep it up! Appreciate having all this content during lockdown

Judd Geesey

There isn’t an it’s a shame. 13 years serving in the army, many years serving his country after that in the CIA and he is getting sunk by some backwoods corrupt sheriff. He needs as much help as he can get

C0RLoCK

Same, the amount of work you put in for us is insane. But with that you earn our loyalty and respect, without you the world would be a dimmer place, props Nuttin.

The Nutnfancy Project

THanks my friend...it's all worth it in the end! I thought it'd fun to show the behind the scenes on this.

Trevor

Dude how many people stopped there car thinking it was a kick ass yard sale

Thomas Cornell

We appreciate all the work, time and effort you take to make this kick ass videos . Happy mothers day to mrs nutnfancy as well .

Gyorgy

That's a lot of gear, a lot of money to spend

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

I appreciate the behind the scenes look. I know it's a lot of prep and work. We appreciate it.

Edward mcclure

Thanks Nutn. For all the hard work you put into content just so I can laugh at your dorkyness lol. Keep up the good work.

Racing Psychosis

That is a freaking huge loadout. That's likely more equipment than I carry to a Nationals Race. And I thought I was nuts. Good behind the scenes video. Enjoyed that. Damn GoPro's give me fits, break their damn mounts all the time, but my other cameras are pretty decent and super durable, just the company has been bought out. AND absolutely everything FAILS, understand the pain of breakage.

Do you work off a check-list when you're packing for an op like this? I have to use a check-list when car-camping or backpacking. If I don't, essential items get left behind. The Marine Corps got me in the habit, and it has stuck with me ever since. By the way...this video definately exposes the incredible amount of preparation that goes into a TNP video that we quite often take for granted. Thanks for sharing the "behind the scenes" info with us.

Aaron Martin

POU on the crocs? lol jk. Holy crap that’s a lot to haul.

Todd Strelka

This is such a great insight into all of the hard work and preparation that goes into every TNP outing. Thank you for sharing with us. Ther OP V videos are awesome and the hard work and dedication shows. Those Icom GMRS radios look great. I have a set of 6 Midland GXT1000 GMRS radios. I also have a couple of Baofeng UV-5R ham radios. It's great to see the Titan serving well in the project. That truck is in such clean condition for being 10 years old and going out to the desert all of the time. I recommend a BedRug for the Titan. Saves your knees and it is impervious to the outdoor elements and chemicals. I'll be getting the BedRug mat for my Silverado since I already have it Rhino lined in the bed. I was going to ask where you get your multicam clothes and what brand they are, but now I don't have to. This video is a great flyover view of all of the gear needed. It's a checklist of sorts along with the other gear videos over the years, helping us to square away or systems. Thanks again!

Hold Fast Joe

Thanks! That's a neat behind scene video!

TheOlsonOutfit

I knew this was a lot of work, but that shot of all the gear laid it out really cemented that. I appreciate the work: your content is great.

Ken Nieman

Thanks for the behind the scenes video. Thank you for all you do. I have learned a lot

The Nutnfancy Project

THanks much Todd. You are a standard for vehicle care, every time I see yours it is spotless! Thanks for the bed rug idea. I have so much dirt and dust in the back though not sure if that would work. The rubber liner I use works good, pretty easy to clean. That Baofeng UV-5R ham radios is a great choice, I have some too. We'll get some common TNP freqs for them for WROL so we can coordinate. I have some too.

The Nutnfancy Project

I don't have checklists but I did used to use them. I found out that each op is so different that I couldn't just have one. With Op V and long range and then shotgun + pistol loadouts, I just sat and thought about it a lot. I will sit and stare at all the gear and then mentally go through the shooting scenarios. When I do that I will have some "ah hah" moments and get addtl stuff.

Todd Strelka

My boss introduced me to BegRug. https://bedrug.com/ Plus it's not carpet, so it's easy to clean and waterproof. It's a polypropylene material with the same type of padding used in life vests so it doesn't absorb water. I think JD on the Big Truck Big RV YouTube channel uses BegRug too in his F-450.

Ol Retired Fed

It would be easier to just put the whole bunker on wheels and tow it all at once. What a ton of prep and planning! I have emergency systems for each vehicle and a separate load out for camping gear. With all the electronics, shooting supplies, video supplies, 4 wheeler, trailer, and the redundancy needs: you have out classed me by a mile. Hope you can keep up with the workload with a bad knee and bum shoulder. I go to the wilderness to relax. You go to work your butt off. Stay healthy.

Joseph Green

Hey all, loved the video. Think we'll ever get a 45 70 review from TNP? I'm sure we'd love to get your two cents!

Outrider950

I can see how the FN got left out in the desert. There is a lot of gear to keep track of.

Racing Psychosis

Bed lining with something like Rhino is must in the rust belt.

Dean Beiring

i think you can get 1000 paper targets at the CMP store -- if i recall they were selling them back when i got my .308 M1 Garand

Dean Beiring

thanks i absolutely loved this video !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carson Mallory

I am exhausted just watching the video. Can’t imagine the effort you put into this, but thanks enjoy almost everything you produce.

Justin Taylor

Thanks for all the work you put in. I really enjoy the videos!

david rockwell

The O.V. series of video productions is another hallmark of excellence for TNP. A heartfelt appreciation is offered for the planning, thought and effort required to execute an endeavor like O.V. The entire series has been very much enjoyed; thank you for the continued service.

Dylan Campbell

Dude I can’t wait for the ATI Omni Hybrid review I bought one and have had good luck with it !!!

A Random Walk

Incredible. Interesting the amount of planning, gear and effort devoted to, or in support of, content creation. Not just Op V but for future stuff too.

Mike R

When my buddy and I do our run and gunning out in the desert it always amazes me how much stuff we need to bring and it fills up the whole bed of one truck. So it was nice to see this behind the scenes video of all of your stuff you have to bring. Someone mentioned earlier about a list what I now is in the "notes" section of my phone I have lists for whichever shooting sequence were doing and the stuff that we need to bring for each. After I put all the stuff in the vehicles I look at it and check everything off.

Michael B warner

Thank's for all the behind the scenes footage. It's always interesting and I usually always learn something from it. I really like that light holder you made for lighting up the targets. That is a really great idea and it looks pretty easy to make.

Aaron

Well, you certainly do have a lot of crap! Now, I don’t feel so lonely 😉. Great to see Jardine in the Valkyrie video. He’s one of a kind. Great vid!

Blake Meadows

That’s a lot of gear, boss. How did you like the truck tent? Thought about getting one for my F-150. Thanks for all of the prep and hard work in field.

mm80121

The desert tan Olight M2R Pro is a great light, maybe not the best out there, but one of the top lights that has come out in a while. I love the magnetic recharge capability and the instant access to turbo (a feature that the comparable Fenix PD35 and PD36 lack). Would love to see a review on it soon! My one aesthetic criticism would be that the crenelated bezel is a little over the top.

Pistolette504

This is exactly why I quit camping. I'll live thru you...thanks

BusaPilot08

Hey Nutn - Thoughts on Officer G. Anderson (Cop) video? Maybe a video reaction from you? Thanks

Sean Savoy

I hear ya on the logistical tasking. I go through a lighter version every desert trip in CO.

Ashanti Ali

I went on ahead and upped my monthly contribution. I never realized just how much captial and determination goes into keeping TNP project running.

Red dog 1

Blue shop towels are more durable than standard paper towels

Red dog 1

I agree. Love the 45-70 round. But I dont know how many people like lever guns.

TomServo66

Holy crap! Respect for what you do...

Nathan P Hubsch

Nutn, try the ICE brand flavored waters. They're 0 calorie and taste great. Would also bring an iFix It screwdriver kit. Combines every driver you could need and a flexible extension.

rodwspoon545

I believe this 100% because when l load up to go shooting for a day trip I take a lot of (what if) gear too. Thank you for all the hard work bro we TNPers really appreciate it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Emerson Evans

I always try to get new insight of what I can do better for my own systems... luckily I’m not reviewing and don’t own many of the fancy electronics because batteries batteries batteries. Holy damn. I do try to have a backpack or bag set up for different activities to avoid the hassle of having to pack and repack everything. I usually am over packed but it saves me the hour or so of pulling all the things together. This video was way cool!!

Daniel Herb

Really enjoyed the load out video. Its quite a logistical challenge and great reminder to be prepared and have an understanding of what you need to accomplish goals while having fun.
