Citizen Primo Chronographs: Reference

Pedro

Wow the black one looks so elegant. I’d be happy wearing one in my wrist looks wise.

Daniel Gray Webb

I'm with you Nutn, the blue face with the red straps is awesome.

David Gaines

Love Chronos! Probably my favorite class in overall aesthetic. I just can’t do the bracelet bands, though. Every watch with a bracelet just reminds me of a cheap (not price but quality) watch from the 90s or early 2000s

i think the Yamato and here uncompleted sister ship was a much deadlier battleship, they were in a class of their own... the bismark just got its place in history because it escaped through the british blockade and sunk the heavy cruiser/ very light battleship The Hood with a lucky shot.

Charles New

I've got the same watch with a blue sailcloth band from barton.......love it.

Todd Strelka

Sweet watches. Citizen makes a quality product. Thanks for the GRV.

I wish there was someone doing really in-depth imperial japanese wartime industry research. There's a lot of stuff they changed in such a short time it seems like there's a lot of interesting development that we'll never see because everyone who's a war nerd like that can't get access to their records in glorious Nippon, or they were all trashed in 45. They had some cool stuff, and some stuff that was oof.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yes it's really striking. I just put a tan cordura strap on it and now has another cool personality.

Japan is a weird country. As a gaijin you are pretty much never going to get the inside look into history and culture from within the country. People their are incredibly zenophobic, and anything considered "dishonorable" is kept out of the view of "guests" . Whelp thats most of WW2 lol. . I went on my HLTA leave in japan on my second tour. Its like half super modernized and the other half stayed in the past despite the best efforts of the government. it was surreal, I was on a high speed bullet train heading south. we passed this massive satellite uplink station, pointed straight up at a geosynchronous satellite; in the middle of a rice field, were all the locals living in there paper and plaster houses were planting rice by hand.

Pedro

They make darn good products and fantastic cuisine so they get a pass from me.

ALWAYS love seeing the competitive options no matter how long it takes. Really enjoyed this WRV! PS The Tommy H watch was surprisingly cool

The chronograph style timepiece generally trend toward grandiosity. The Tisot model mentioned in the video production is atypically uncluttered for chronograph genre. The insightful comment regarding partially stiff bands increasing stability of larger face watches is spot on. The Barton sail cloth bands do a great job in aiding stability. Thank you for the continued dedication and effort.

Always happy to see more watch content! I really like the Citizen Chronos, I have a b620-s107245. May have to look into swapping a Nato onto it.

Damn Nutn, you really know how to spend my money! Why did you have to show me that gray Primo on the bracelet? I'm down $134. What do you think my wife is going to say when another watch shows up at my house?

Hold Fast Joe

Those look great, the yellow Chrono hands on the black face really jump out. I bet in person it's even more drastic the difference so easily read. Cool set of citizen watches! Thanks!

I'm a Citizen fan and own a number of them. To me I liked to the look of a brown leather band E820 (had to go and buy) and the titanium band on the E650 (came with the watch). Completely agree, these types of watches, while they come with a number of different functions, really are just about looks/second cool and not about function. If I need functionality I go break out one of my Casio G-Shocks.

Chris Marchi

I love the competitive option part.

Have you seen the not yet released Timex Q colorations? Its a retro look and the new colors are pretty cool. Not sure about the price point though. Seems kinda high.

Matt

Great WRV Nutn! Also interested in the Ganzo Firebird FH 41. I have a Ganzo Firebird F759m, Spyderco homage, and I happy with it so far. Remanisant of the Delica. Wondering if you've seen the F759m yet?

Swordfish took on the Italian navy in the Mediterranean too.

Daniel Ingoglia

I love Citizen watches, I have several - all chronograph style. Thank you for continuing to do watch reviews. How is your shoulder by now... much better I hope??

ChillTheNerd

I really like it in black. I can't have a smart watch at my work right now, so a good "dumb watch" is always nice to see. Lol you probably sold one for em....

Robert

Hey Nutn, what’s your thoughts on the Minutemen watches? I was thinking on pre-ordering the A11 in orange. The majority of their watches are made/assembled in America which I like.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hmmm, I will check those out. Timex has been way improved over the last few years.
