Take a break from the craziness of the world and let's talk about my and then your own approach to watch wear.  Most of the gear we enjoy is simply just to add a fun diversion to our lives.  Wearing a favorite watch for the day will add to this happiness!

And yet I break most of the so called horologist conventions in my own watch wear.  I hammer on these pretty hard here and then tell you why most of them are not based in good logic but marketing and elitism.

Instead I'll get you started with your own watch journey with the "10 Nutnfancy Rules for Watch Happiness."  It took a long time to prep for this video as many time pieces had to gathered/loaned for the stunning display you'll see here.  Each plays a role in my approach to watch enthusiasm!

Enjoy this epic 1:12 video on watches...a first in the world!

Thanks to TNP Patron, Dr David Gaines for the idea for this video.

Wow, I'll have to watch this watch video tomorrow. Sounds and looks interesting!

I like the special editions. Even on the low end. G-Shock cherry blossom festival. Shark leash from Eddie Bauer and more. Even at 100 or so. It’s just enough to put a smile in my face.

David Goodridge

Epic watch collection. Would be hard deciding which one to wear today

PeepsOnEaster

Omg this is perfect. Taking your expert firearms and camping instruction approach to watches!

Brad Fegan

Excellent video especially for beginner watch people. Still looking for that TNP edition watch, lol

3rd kind of cool - my SMAEL Mudmaster knock-off. Cool factor = only cost me $20 to learn I don't like the bulk. Thanks, Nutn!

Lon N

Nutn, I had flashbacks to Scrooge McDuck rolling around in his pile of cash. It's pretty obvious watches bring you joy. The brief flash of the flight in a private plane peaked my interest. How about some "true confessions" about what was going on? Were you flying with TD?

Chris carr

I have to ask somewhere, hows my civilian sheepdog family out there? I’ve been worried about all of you. being safe up here in Alaska and have a continuous sick feeling that I can’t help.

Glen L Blakley

My top three most worn in the past year or so have been the Marathon TSAR, the Citizen Nighthawk, and the Gshock GWM5610 (square). Its funny how much money I've spent on swiss automatics, and they just sit in the watch box and only come out for date night. 😂

RJCa5533

I really agree with all of this. I do have a Hamilton hand wind for dressy occasions. The nicest watch I’m likely to ever own is my Casio G-Shock GWG-1000-1A3 with a Jays and Kay’s dlc steel bracelet.

David Gaines

Thanks again, Nutn! Awesome video!

Ryan Reese

1 hour 12 min.... Awesome! Watch for watching today’s watch review is the excellent Casio SGW-450H. 😂🤙

Sheepdog

I have two of the the Naviforce watches that you pointed to early in the vid. The one you showed and a tan banded desertish camo version. I bought them both based on your review from your Oct. 2017 review. I have a decent high value watch collection and I have to say these two are some of my favorites. Perfect size, accurate Japanese quartz movement, but most of all totally cool looking! About $20 each, can't beat it!

That Hamilton Khaki is great

Connor Murphy

Ooh, Baby! That array of watches is amazing! Great video.

Nick Campbell

This was a fun video. I remember Nutnfancy's first watch video about how he mostly wore a Casio calculator watch and TD and Suspect made fun of him for it. Wow how the collection has grown.

Nancy Merrell-Robertson

Wearing a watch is one of the Great Pleasures and Great Needs of modern life. Thanks for the tutorial, @Nutnfancy!

The Nutnfancy Project

Here's your review: it's awesome and expensive! I had to return it and don't know if I can get again though

The Nutnfancy Project

Isn't that the truth: that a well put together $20 watch can make us happy. And yet in the elitist watch world we are "idiots" not knowing "real" watches. That's why I rant in the video, to get this truth out.

Ryan Reese

Great topic recommendation. 👍

The Nutnfancy Project

Hello Nancy and you are welcome! The watch game is so fun and I hope I never lose interest in them.

Price shouldn't matter, my Casio A168WA-1is my favorite digital watch. It's low profile, easy to read, and has a stop watch functionality. For $20 it makes me really happy.

Mike

Great Vid, love to see the divergence in the watch world and your collection.

Sheepdog

Completely agree Nutn. I also have about 8 colorways of the SMAEL's and I get every bit of enjoyment from wearing them as I do my Casio Rangeman with ABC, solar power and syncing with the atomic clock, that I paid $200 for.

DuginIN

Excellent. Over an hour video that ended to soon.

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

I used to dislike watches. Then I saw your review on the aviAvi-8 harrier II 4003 green and now I'm hooked.

mike stevens

Thanks Nutn. After watching a few of your watch videos I resurrected a couple of my old field watches from the sock drawer. They really do bring back memories and not expensive at all.

Sean

Hey Nutn, any interest in the big, bold series by Swatch? No I have NOT purchased one...yet. They look pretty sharp and the hands don’t appear to need any modding

A Random Walk

I’m a Seiko blue blood but the best watch I ever bought was a $13 Amazon chinese special about two years ago. Rugged. Big bold digital face. 100m. Lightweight. Great band. Durable. Simple. It performs spectacular doing all the typical man stuff. The weight is the best though which is why it’s my weekender. I don’t notice it especially compared to the few Seiko divers I have. Plus, at $13, I don’t care what happens to it- I spend more for a supersized #5 at Wendy’s.

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

Love feature length stuff. Great video thanks for going through the details of every style and presentation. Informative!

Bluegill097

One of my all time favorite TNP productions!

Matthew Reardon

Personally, I love the swatch watches for a fashion watch second cool

Arthur Krieger

Just getting into watches myself. This was a much welcomed video Nutn. Personally lean towards second cool myself, but really like the field watches.

david rockwell

This was a self deceptive video. I enjoy watches and watch reviews. Impetus was to view about ten to twenty minutes then move to a couple of household tasks. The number and variation of watches prompted me to keep the video playing until the very end. Very enjoyable and enlightening. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

The Nutnfancy Project

I will check it out, thanks for the idea. Most Swatches are cool but waay too small...like ladies watch small.

Thatdudeluke

Lol I was just telling my wife that I need more watches

Lee Wilhelm

What’s up Nutn’? I have more than a handful of watches, some recommended by you. Thanks! Most recently, the Glycine pilot watch. It is pretty darn sweet. I’ve been thinking about trying a Vostok. They are pretty cool looking and have a bit of a cult following. Just wondering if you have tried one and have any thoughts?
