TD and I take shots with the SAR Arms SARST10 9mm. This is different gun having elements of an H&K, Beretta 92, and some others. It's made in Düzce, Turkey. The price is right and we  keep this in mind on this value pistol. The interweb used to say this gun might be a stand in for an H&K Mark 23 .45 ACP. We never cottoned to the Mk 23...like never. But we consider how some, because of the special ops stink on that, gun still find it attractive.

The ST10 sports a big heavy aluminum frame that can host several calibers; it's not really size efficient with the 9mm. Of course the same could be said of the P226 and Beretta M92 (here with use). We'll consider all of that to produce some conclusions on the ST10 and talk about a few HOF alternatives.

Another free GRV!

Sarsilmaz ST10: Poor Mans H&K Mark 23?

I think that H&K Mark 23 looks kind of sweet, but only because it has a "unique" look. I held one at a gun show years ago and thought it was ludicrous. This was definitely cool to see though. Glycine for the win! Thanks Nutn.

Racing Psychosis

Good vid. Did you shoot it in the wind again? Not breaking wind. It appears to be an interesting paper weight to me. I'm certainly not a H&K fan. Definitely not on my buy list. Cool back drop on the shoot footage Sean.

Robert Avery

Appreciate you guys continuing to crank out the great content. 👍

Great video Nutn'. Don't forget to show some love for the S&W 59 series as a used competitive option. Love my old 5904 that I bought new back in the day. Also love my TP9, and agree that I would recommend the Canik before this SAR. Any chance of a review of the sub-compact Canik in the future? Keep up the good work.

Elieen Right

I second the subcompact Canik, I considered it in buying a carry gun. I ended up getting the “Hellcat” super good gun! Really happy with it

The Glycine is obviously a great watch, but for looks I like that modified Wegner Nutn but TD's Parnis takes the top spot on the watch podium for this video. Always love the GRV's for comparisons but the ST10 is a no for me. My first pistol ever is my 92FS stainless so enough said.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks RP. Yep on both accounts. It's good to have a "no buy" pistol in the mix, intersesting to see.

"Don't forget to show some love for the S&W 59 series" Oh you know how I love the 59! I have to give it some rest a bit though b. I showed in like 4 vids. It will be back. Sub compact Canik? Copy.

Racing Psychosis

I think they call it the TP9 Sub Elite or something like that. I've not seen one, but then around here, we're not seeing much of anything other than shotguns and junk.

Younggun995

Hands down best review channel out there. I have a question regarding packs. I'm in the market for a new pack looking at something along the lines of the kelty coyote 105. Does anyone have input or recommendations? Edit: coyote 105 isn't available anywhere, so now I really could use recommendations

Not since that Dave Matthews Band concert back in 2012 have we experienced such an epic jam session. But we're glad to hear it was reliable after some lube. 👨‍👩‍👧❤

Today is my Mum’s B-Day; lost her to cancer when I was 15 in 1992. RIP Mum I miss you dearly. Also great Vid Nutn; God bless and keep up the good work.

Oh no he dih-int! Five seconds into the vid and I have to comment on that damn SOG multi-tool in the background before I can watch any further. Whoever said “it’s what’s on the inside that counts” never used a SOG multi-tool! I have such a love-hate with that multi tool! The compound pressure that you can get from the geared plier head is amazing! It’s the best design for a multi tool pliers on the market. Aaaaaaaand the beauty/potential of the design is completely negated by the fact that SOG uses garbage materials and has unforgivable fit and finish for the rest of the tool. It is like a straight A high school student that dropped out of a full academic college scholarship after becoming an complete alcoholic/meth head in the frat house. Utterly ruined potential! Based on association I do not see this gun review going very well, let’s see what happens…

I'm old school, I hold my pistols like you, but I always carry my 1911's in condition one!!!!!

Tom Cairns

Hey, I have that target paper! Lol was wondering when this came out

Bernt Ryggs

I cast this to the big screen. The only way to watch Nutn content from now on! Never been a fan of da/sa as a lefty. They never really worked with my wrong-handedness. Especially at Sig and Beretta price points. Now I know to avoid the ones I can afford, too. Excellent review, as always Nutn!

A little fact-checking from an unapologetic HK fanboy: 1. The Mk23 does not weigh 3 lbs, and is surprisingly light for its size; it's still a polymer frame pistol, and weighs less than a 1911. 2. The rail on the USP in non-standard because it was one of the first pistol designs to come with a rail at all, and there was no standard at the time. The original USP design still has military contracts, so HK is not going to change it, instead offering 1913 rail on their newer models, like the HK45 and P30. 3. The USP does not use the same frame for all calibers. 9mm and 40 S&W are the same frame; 45 is a larger frame.

I had a chance to pick up a K2 45. Kick myself for not doing it. Have heard very good things about it since then.

Mike S

Glad to see the Beretta 92 make an appearance again in TNP! Was not expecting that comparison. The HK comparison is nice too. Although I am surprised that this gun wasn't lubed out of the gate, since this is an alloy framed gun. With any kind of metal to metal contact on a gun, I'll drop a bit of lube on those points just to be safe.

Davy's Japan ministry

Has Nutn ever done a single action army review? Looking at some Uberti cattleman as a fun gun I'd love to see Nutn mess around with one.

Paul Griech

A kid that works in tool shop told me he just bought this as his first gun! He seems to like it

Tacticaldoodle

Haven't had one, in a while. They're not too common, at least for cheap. He's got a uh.......ruger? Does that one cut it?

Davy's Japan ministry

seein you guys running around in the desert with something like that would be great.

Probably banned by the commies that run youtube. It was a link to that platform.

The regular YouTube video worked. Thanks.
