B4 ya said it I'm like "WHERE'S the bacon". I don't do powdered sugar, Vermont maple syrup or Oregon marionberry jam. And like Ryan said above adding vanilla extract to the egg mixture takes it to the next level. I'm a sourdough french toast guy.

1% milk?! For the love of all that's holy what's wrong with you people? Repent! Go get yourself a quart of heavy whipping cream and come back to see me. Don't just use that cream in the batter either. Pour it over the finished product exactly like some folks do with maple syrup too. It should also be poured over cake, pie, brownies, cookies, etc. in the same exact fashion.

You guys made it look easy, but I'm not a fan of cooking breads (french toast or pancakes) in winter....because they cool down too fast for me. Much rather just go with oatmeal and bacon or some kind of egg/potato/bacon mix cooked in a wok....salt/pepper and you can still eat it while warm! But come spring, I'm all the way down Colonel!!!

Nutn - look up Mono Unstaturated and Poly Unsaturated fats. Then, look up what happens when you cook with Omega 3-rich vegetable oils. (Canola, Olive, etc.) TLDR: just use real butter to cook with. It's actually better for you.

I agree with the eat it and have it hot philosophy! Just ask Sean. I hate eating cold stuff. That is generally why I hate eating outdoors in the winter. But this outing was very mild weather so it worked out. Also have the truck camper shell to eat in will be used in the future too!

Yes I do have the Astro van still and still use it! It shows a bit of wear but I don't see me selling it. Now van life for me is just pretty much sleeping in it, a bit of travel, and sometimes editing...for that it works well. I will try to do an update sometime for ya!
