Always interesting timing with your reviews. Was just looking at this knife last night. Get your hands on a Walther PDP Nutn!

The Nutnfancy Project

I'm working on it, everything so hard to get now. Thanks for being here Raymond

Ah, the cool Revoltech Kaiyodo Fa-18. Such a cool gimmick mecha-ifying cool airframes in this world, even if they're all super undergunned. I wish those were still cheap. I think we grabbed a few for like fifteen bucks each. We've shown the Mig-21 a lot too.

I love SOGs fixed blades...I own two Seal Pups (already TNP reviewed) and a Seal which I use as an excuse to go camping...e.g. I haven't worn/used my SOG Seal in a month, time to go camping! Sealpup gets used regularly as part of Scouting. (knives watches and guns...my collections make me happy!)

Adam Boyd

It scores on the 2nd cool for me. I think it's a good looking knife. I wouldn't buy it if I was in the market for a fixed blade though. Undersized and overpriced. I carry folders with bigger blades.

Todd Strelka

Such a nice knife. I love the eye candy on the table too.

As a Michigander I shamelessly admit I am a Bark River fanboy. Did you guys know that theres a special facebook page where Bark River posts the knife models they will make for the year? Here you go.Mike Stewart Admin · octoSpoJanualnsoafrrtedyS ii4 · 2021 Production Schedule. Please remember that This is a Partial List and we will be adding to it as the year progresses. It also is not necessarily in the order we will be making all of these models - You can check it regularly and we will keep this updated. Great to see that list; I try to stay off of FB but might make an exception to check out BR. I love their knives, have reviewed several. Jesse Hemphill is same quality and he re located there to Escanaba also, friends with Mike. I have a JH Bowie knife review coming out soon btw; epic blade.

I like everything but the belt clip. I actually pulled off the belt loop attachment from my cold steel SRK and attached it to the SOG. Mainly use it while camping/overlanding where weight isn’t a huge issue. Honestly I never really use my fixed knife when I wear it. I just use my bugout for most tasks. So for me, 2nd kind of cool wins out. Love the looks. I’m also a steel snob and basically bought it because S35VN.

Clint Allison

Have you seen the fixed blade Woox knives??? SEXY!!!!! Take a look at their stocks while you are there. I've got a "Wild Man" on order.

RowdyRon

Great review Nutn. SRK for the win in that group. Thanks Nutn!

Would be cool to see SOG come out with a version of the Government Agent in a modern steel. It had such classic and simple lines. A lot of the designs these days are made extra funky to stand out from their competition. With little or no benefit to function. Usually detracting from function to he honest. Sog Pillar not withstanding. It's one of the better fixed blades they've come out with in a long time.

Joshua Pulliam

I like the looks of that SOG Pillar coloration, but my Cold Steel SRK wins for sure. I love it. What are you thoughts on the SRK Compact? I've considered picking one up. I also just got the Recon Tanto and it is pretty sick.

Anthony Schaad

Cool review Nutn... I will say I liked the look but as someone who’s been getting into the knife game for the past 6 months I just anymore have a hard time finding what purpose I would need a 5inch blade like that for ... darn it. My brother has one of the SRK n loves it. I will say I did just order a okc raider Bowie though... but it’s got size n some heft surving hopefully a good purpose of a camp/chopper knife, will b testing it shortly lol! As always enjoy the content Nutn !

Nice to see a Bark River on here again! I have the Bravo 1.5 and absolutely love it. You did a video a long long time ago on Bark River but hadn’t seen anything since. I usually use your suggestions, but took a chance and went with the Bravo 1.5 with a decorative fancy wood handle. Definitely a cross between 1st and 2nd cool for me. Nice to see some “validation” ... as you’d say. It’s mainly a woods blade for me and have taken on multiple outings; always served well and looks good doing it. Would love to see some more fixed blades. People are getting outdoors more and also more and more are getting their LBEs set up as we head into more uncertainty. Love the content as always, might not get to the vids right away but eventually make the time to watch them. Keep going sir.

Matt Scott

I grabbed an SRK compact a few weeks ago Josh. It is the SRK I’ve been waiting for. I have not used it yet so I can’t provide a lot of insight. What I can say is it was exactly what I thought it would be when I put it in my hand. A bit smaller and lighter than big brother.

Joshua Pulliam

I got bit by the fixed blade bug last November. I got the Spyderco Bow River, the SRK and the Recon Tanto. There are a couple more Cold Steel fixed blades like the new Kyoto I that are next in the queue. But I thought about getting little brother SRK next. Thank you for the input.

James Young

You're right about the 2nd cool of this knife; I love the looks.

James Young

Yes, I would love to see Nutn's review of the Walther PDP and the Ruger Max and the Shield Plus. But he is one guy and it takes time and a lot of work. Looking forward to those reviews

James Young

I heard BladeHQ is moving to Virginia. Hopefully they can still help you out with loaners

Loki

We got 2 of these back in January one in the FDE and another in Blackout (1 for me, 1 for the wife), they were under $200 at the time. The 2nd cool aesthetic definitely did it for me. Mine came with a really good edge out of the box. Will be incorporating it on my LBE once I figure out the best method to secure it, the weight is ok for me, but totally get whey others may feel different. 1 thing I did notice, the retention on the sheath isn't strong enough to hold the knife upside down. If you do that and run it's likely to fall out.

TacticalSunBro

Looks like a cool featured knife Nutn. Check out Becker BK 18 new from 2020. Harpoon style blade, nice sheath. Under $100. Comes in FDE and Black.

Chris Hibler

The Cabela’s knife was made by Buck, I’m fairly sure. I have a Buck that is nearly identical. Oh....I see you’ve linked to the Buck model too. Doh!

The Nutnfancy Project

No I have not but I will check them out now that you've turned me on to them; I learn a lot from you guys!

I'd like to suggest a competitive option for woods knife/truck knife. The Terävä jääkäripuukko. Long on 1st cool and high value, delivered to your door for $86. Comes with an excellent dangler sheath with very good retention and a safety snap that makes it impossible to lose if you snap it. Sheath available in black or dark brown. Comfortable rubber grip. This knife is a tool to be used hard. I'm a fixed blade lover and I love this knife.

Han So Oh

You gotta review one of SOG XR lineup, with their take of the axis lock.
