OK dudes I do have a video coming up that I think you'll like: .300 Blackout Philosophy of Use! But that one will come out later, it's a 4 hour edit over 5 hard drives!

Coming out next will be a time critical OTF KRV...by request.  You'll see that one soon!

Thanks everybody...I got a lot of reviews done this week.

Greg Malcom

Sounds awesome, thanks Nutn!!

Zachary Jackson

“Time Critical”… this should be cool

Brad Fegan

Looking forward to it

Spencer Wiesner

Super Excited for this. Just got a Silencerco Omega 36M and excited to see how it runs on the .300BLK

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

My brother-in-law, a police officer, was telling me all about the benefits of 300 blackout… but at $1.50 a round, i am not sure i can afford it.

Aaron Knesal

300 blackouts was my nickname in college

Thor Allen

What does otf stand for?

Casey Jones

Very excited. I built a .300BO gun and my friend and I argued about how I crafted my POU. 4 hours? I didn’t think there was that much to .300BO

James Mabe

Am I the only person that uses 7.62x39 has poor man 300 black? You can also get sub cheaper 🤷

Nathan P Hubsch

No, welcome comrade! I don't own anything in 223/556 or 300 blk. AK this is the way!

Nathan P Hubsch

Which is why I've been recommending the POF Renegade 7.62x39 AR upper when it was $650 and ammo was $0.23 per round.

TechNeck

neen rocking 7.62 x39 as the go to for years.. never had a reason to change. chincom ammo for plinking, hornady SSTs seated in pulled chincom ammo for hunting.

bugout

battlefield pickup... use your x39 until then

bugout

not to be THAT guy but... keltec p17 GRV and 22lr philosophy of use for wrol/ shtf GTW long-format vids please!!!

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

Nathan, thanks for the input. My b-i-l’s other rifle is an AK so he’d second your recommendation. But i’ll tell you, as i told him, the bad guys carry 7.62x39 and the good guys carry 556. Seriously though, i have no expectations of going to war with people carrying AK’s. I fully expect the guys banging on my front door to be carrying 556 and wearing CPD, OH, or USA on their sleeve. The “battlefield pickup” will be 556.

The Nutnfancy Project

No I'm with you on the too. In the video I'll take you through diff POUs and answer which one wins

Jonathan-James

Cant wait for the party. Seriously, your content brings me a lot of joy and information at the same time. Love your content Nutn, family and crew..

Jonathan-James

Isnt Jardine under contract to say I'm still here?

Nathan P Hubsch

Yeah dude, it's called the Koshei Bowie $123.00 on their website 🤩

Todd Strelka

Wow, it's hard to imagine how much time you spend filming and editing.

Jardine

As a matter of fact, I am. Still here👍

Bryan Palmer

Roger that Nutn! The content lately has been outstanding! It is much appreciated!

Jonathan-James

Your fine American Jardine. Take it easy Sir.

Bryan Palmer

Also... Fingers crossed for the SOG Pentagon OTF review 🤞

I LOVE POU DISCUSSIONS!!! Consistency and common sense. That's what separates TNP from everyone else. BTW... I was recently explaining my daily system (Similar to your LPAC system) to someone very concerned with fashion. It was hilarious! Now that I'm a dad I don't care at all about being fashionable.... I'm just like, "how do I hump gear and move quickly without shit falling out everywhere." So freeing...

Friends love the 300 black.. i have opted to stay 5.56 and 308 in my ar platforms...anything i am doing in a vehicle i prefer to load up ten or 20 mags of 308. If i need to lug it around 55 grain 5.56. And i have a bunch of cans of 62 grain as well. I am older and more beat up. So the bad guys are coming to my home.. or i am driving and have ability to carry lots of .308.. I understand the places 300 black work well.. i just dont care enough to add an extra caliber. My s&w model 10's in 308 are awesome in accuracy and value. And i can load all the 308 i want very easily. So i can quickly send out 200 rounds of 308.. at several hundred yards with accuracy and authority and have no ammo issues. My guess is folks might want to move on to a target sending out 22 lr.

Robert Avery

Definitely looking forward to this one

Jeff Freeman

Well I already bought a .300, but it would be interesting to see your thoughts on it!

Steelhorses

Looking forward to this one. I haven't seen a decent review I've trusted since Travis Haley did his epic 300 blackout year review /watch?v=tgKjbySsAik

Iowa Dave

Definitely looking forward to this one. I'm pretty new to 300 blackout. I did a pistol build last winter with a Palmetto kit with a 10.5 barrel. I've got a Surefire 300 SPS can sitting in suppressor jail waiting for the tax stamp to clear, hopefully later this year. I put a Surefire three prong muzzle device on the build as an attachment point for the QD suppressor. I was surprised to experience a "tuning fork" noise from the muzzle device - heard only by the shooter. Hopefully attaching the can will dampen that. Once I build up some spent 300 brass, I think that I will really have to consider reloading in this caliber because of the high cost of this ammo compared to .223. For those of you with 300 blackout pistols with stabilizing braces, please add your voice to the comments on the ATF website about the proposed changes to their regulations on pistol braces. The braced pistol format seems especially handy in 300.

300blk has some great use cases, and not just suppressed with subsonic. Very efficient and effective with short barrel, and pistol powder. And with a 110gr bullet, a great varmint control firearm, 123 to 150 gr you can take white tails all day long, and 190-220gr and subs, you can clean house, and not wake the neighborhood. Reloading 300blk is a joy too as you can create just about any 30cal cartridge up to 230gr. I own 300blk and 7.62x39 and I believe there is room for both, especially as in a wrol situation. You're going to want the option for both in your safe, as sales will no longer be available. I love my ks-47s and my AR 300blk in 10.5 and 16" (still don't have an AK. Just didn't get one when the prices were good for a VEPR. Perhaps I will get a PSAK or KilshnakofUSA someday soon)

Jim Ferebee

I look forward to it. Thank you Sir.

Robert Avery

Anyone have any experience with the honey badger by Q? Also curious if the atf is still going after their pistol versions if anyone happens to know.

Matthew Jantz

I use the .300 for varmit/hog control in areas that have close neighbors

Ryan Rocco

Sooooo stoked!! I’ve been researching 300 Blackout Pistols and this is PERFECT timing. My wife will be pissed, but it’s okay.

James Young

I've heard issues with the thin bolt faces and broken extractors on the 7.62x39 ARs. I know Nutn has had good luck on his, so maybe this isn't an issue. But it is something that keeps me with the 300 BLK for short barrels over the x39

Chris Kales

Can't wait Nutn'! I've been eyeing .300 black for a while, but I know it definitely has it's limitations. Very curious to get your take on it.

James Young

PSA's AK Gen 3 have come down in price recently ~$699. They are good enough but I prefer chrome lined barrels because, unlike ARs where you can change a barrel easily after it gets burned out, nitrided AK barrels are much harder to change. And some guns I treat as life long guns I'll own forever.

James Young

This sounds amazing. Looking forward to it. I love 300 BLK because it's effectiveness in short barrels, low pressure round, slightly quieter (even supersonic) so it pairs great with suppressors, it's not as velocity dependent as 5.56, and it's a simple upper swap to switch between 300 BLK and 5.56. Want to have a 300 BLK, just buy a new barrel and some ammo. Down sides are ammo cost (used to be closer to $0.50/rd and is now $1.50+, just crazy. Also there is a risk of mixing up ammo and shooting a 300 BLK out of a 5.56 barrel which is dangerous; I keep ammo separate and eyeball check every round I load in mags. My philosophy though is <10.5" go with 300 BLK, >10.5" go with 5.56. If going with a .30 caliber rifle 16" or longer go with an AK. If suppressing go with 300 BLK. If you want a lightweight gun an AR is always going to beat the AK, so that's a consideration too, especially for backpack carry or home defense (since my wife struggles with guns that are heavy out front).

Guy Actual

Thats great info that I didnt have. I agree completely. I have only sold one firearm in my life and it was a Taurus 45 pistol. Every other firearm I have I think of as multi-generational and each has their own use case. I try to keep backup barrels for every one that I own, and the KS-47s being among the newer additions don't have backup barrels or bolts yet. (Perhaps PSA will sell the Bolt alone someday, but for now im planning on purchasing full BCG replacements, along with barrels.) My current build is on a Thunder Ranch lower. It may become a 6.8spc, 458Socom, or a second 223 wilde 13.7 night setup, but I have not decided yet. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

TNSheep

While I'm short on time to watch video's. Keep them coming. I'ma keep payin!

Boar

I was literally trying to decide if I was going to buy my next AR in 6.5 Grendel or 300 Black and I see this notification. Hurry up!

Mike S

Didn't Nutn do a video on 300 Blackout back in 2016? Is this more of an updated POU video?

Cainnech

Love the idea of a 300 blk pou

Tacticaldoodle

It HAS come a long way since then. It's kinda cool to see it go from total meme caliber to....somewhat oddball niche mainstay? It didn't seem like it could outrun the 6.8 SPC or grendel, but it carved out a real spot for itself.

Mike S

Yeah, 300 Blackout has actually stayed around as a somewhat popular round. Not every cartridge can say that. Besides, people are more accepting of that caliber now for certain roles like suppressor hosts or SBR's.
