An expedited KRV for Donor TNPrs.  They wanted these in their own review though they were discussed in the Scarab II KRV (https://youtu.be/UkKXLfFxxRA).   I will introduce to the brand of automatic blades here and you'll get a feel for this assembled in Texas (!) brand.

At the time of the review, I had four months hard use of the "Lightweight" model.  That hard use, their good looks, and their reliability sold me on my purchase. I'll explain some of their models, below, to help eliminate confusion. These are higher quality out the front autos that will slot below Microtech and Guardian Tactical but above the OTF Lightning, beloved in TNP.

Steel, blade quality, fit and finish, handle sets, speed, lockup, colorations are all covered in this CobraTec Nutnfancy KRV.  The special colorations dominate Microtech!  Drop Point, Tanto, Dagger blade styles are offered.

Prepare to get addicted!

Let OpticsPlanet know you heard about these from Nutnfancy!

Zachary Jackson

Thanks bro! Been super busy. Got some time to TNP while icing a neck and back injury

Derek W Tiller

i have one already. so glad you like it too!

Nathan P Hubsch

Yeah, I think you'd love the Daggerr Koshei Bowie OTF for $123.

Zachary Jackson

If they’re gonna make a mini mamba. They should release a full sized mamba.

Rho

Still use my Blue Lightning OTF TNP #0272. It’s plenty worn and sharpens easy.

Eschebone

Great video, very cool knives. Grabbed two... I shouldn't watch reviews this late!

Casey Jones

So, I went to the CobraTech website, and the last time I got that same feeling was the 1st time I visited Cold Steel’s page. I was a kid in a candy store. My wife has a deal with me, I can buy whatever I want with play money I earn on the side. It’s 6:30am on a Saturday and I loaded my pressure washer in the back of the truck. The motivation to hustle is strong with this one ….

Guy Actual

I've said it before and I will say it again. BDU! Picked up a NYPD blue Fs3 for $48 and a white MiniMamba for $64. FYI, the U.S Flag one is $80 at BDU. Enjou

Guy Actual

@Nutnfancy. For some reason, your links didn't work on my tablet. It may be due to me having the optics plant app, but they all went to a search tips page. Just a fyi.

The Nutnfancy Project

I love Daggerr brand and that one looks good. Has the blade of an AK bayonet. Very slick sided though; I have it on the list to get. I do love these Cobras.

The Nutnfancy Project

Way to go Casey! Their website is xlnt too. Use my links above when you buy if you want to support the show though! And OP is cheaper.

The Nutnfancy Project

I just ran them all and they are working good on the Mac computer at least. The purple one was jacked; fixed now.

traveltrove

Working fine on my phone

Daniel Herb

These look awesome! I cant wait to add several to my collection. Also do a TNP version!!!!

Jayson Fraser

After you mentioned them the other day, I went in to Gunnies to take a better look. I ended up grabbing a Medium FS-X in blue (just like the blue one you showed, but a bit bigger). I've enjoyed it so far. It feels much more expensive than it is, and it runs great. It wasn't quite sharp, but I can fix that. Thanks for the review! (BTW Gunnies has better prices on these than I've seen online, incase anyone in the area is looking)

Kevin Tanner

I went to purchase the purple lightweight only to find that since I'm not LEO or MIL I can't purchase one. I want to support the project by purchasing through the links but I guess I'll have to go to their website to order one. Sorry Nutn.

Joe Foss

@ Kevin Tanner & Nutn, I had the same problem except I wanted a blue, & the only blue listed was NYPD blue & OP asked for a letter on LEO letterhead. Oh, and my old military ID would not suffice.

Guy Actual

Big Daddy Unlimited They are kinda like the Costco or Sams of FFLs.

Guy Actual

Yeah, they run on my computer too, but on my Galaxy tab S6 they all got to the same OpticsPlanet help page. It has to be the App.

Jeremy doblinger

I might grab a lighting but other micro tech to expensive for me at this time.. got other knifes I need 1st.. But dang bro these are sweet and I'd be lieing if I said I didnt have a hard on for these autos! Have a great weekend dudes.

Jeremy doblinger

Dude I wanted to say I bought some ganzo knifes and I really like em.. cant beat the value on em!!

Jardine

Cool colors. Not a bad price either.

SigCrash

Beat me to the punch, Lightweight for $38

Cody Harring

Who else was playing with there TNP blue Lightning while watching this? Glad to be back watching videos, been out for a couple months because of the birth our first child. Baby boy is doing great but man is it an adjustment. Our choice to wait so long is totally validated!

The Nutnfancy Project

Good job hitting Gunnies up for those. His prices are awesome as always. " It feels much more expensive than it is" That's the crux right there on these CobraTecs

The Nutnfancy Project

What? I don't think they require verification on that. I just bought some from them and I did not verification at all!

The Nutnfancy Project

I'm amazed at their colorations. Microtech needs to pay attention to what these guys are doing. Don't get me wrong, they've done some cool ones but that red white and blue? Crazy coo.

The Nutnfancy Project

YEah we are glad you're here too. Congrats on your Dad hood. It goes by fast, take lots of photos and spend quality time with your boy.

Jerry Hall

I have 2 Cobratech lightweights. We sell them @ the Ace Hardware where I work.

Tacticaldoodle

Yeah, that's somewhat common and totally normal. It's a way around some regulation from the anti-switchblade panic, in order to send them across state lines. Ops norm, no one asks for DD14's or ID or anything.

Tacticaldoodle

I wonder if they changed it, I remember seeing a "certification" which was basically a form saying "yeah I know all the rules, I'm buying this thing, ok?" I wonder if they beefed it up out of fear

Kevin Tanner

I actually went through the process of placing the order and recieved a confirmation. Shortly thereafter I recieved another email stating that I needed to send verification of of being LEO/MIL on a official letterhead. If I don't verify within 14 days the order is cancelled. Never had this ridiculous hassle with BHQ or Grindworx when ordering a auto. Definitely a turn off for Optics Planet.

The Nutnfancy Project

Wow, I am sorry for that. I am trying to get Grindworx to carry these ASAP. I have not had luck with that, I've been trying to two months.

Paul Griech

Check out ravencresttactical.com they seem to have some cool beater knives!

T Boy

$180 later 3 Cobratech's on their way in the mail. Got one for the wife so shouldn't get any complaints.

T Boy

Thanks for the heads up! Not sure I will keep a subscription, but saved me a ton on the 3 Cobratechs I ordered.

Guy Actual

While your at the site, check out the spyderco knives.

Mike R

I get the $79 ones for a better Lighting with D2, but the ones that are $140-160 seem over priced for me personally for a Chinese knife. Though I’d would pay for a TNP collaboration one.

Matt W Plank

The Large Texas flag blade arrived today…SICK!! It is as large as the State of Texas. I don’t care in this case, as it is a pride and second cool thing. Can’t wait to whip this bad boy out at a “barbecue,” instant respect. I am going to get another style in the medium size. Great quality for the money and Texas made!!

john austin

Green Cobratec just arrived. Thanks

Matt W Plank

BTW, screw Optics Planet! They wanted me to fill some damn form out, ridiculous! I just bought two knives directly from the Cobratech website. They have OUTSTANDING customer service! Knives shipped the SAME day as ordered and since I live in Texas, I already got them both! Great company and seaming you,

Matt W Plank

Sorry, excellent product to go along with their outstanding CS.

Clint Allison

I bought three lightnings after your original review. I gave two away and I've been EDC'ing one ever since. I love this knife. I do have to take it a part every couple of years when there just gets to be too much foo in it but it's been largely reliable as long as it's lubed and clean-ish.

Chris carr

I just can’t get on the auto band wagon, they are all just to ugly for me, lol.

hoplite ⚔️

Congrats Cody!! TNP will help steer the morale compass for your young lad. 🍻

hoplite ⚔️

I bought a Ganzo a while back to try out the axis lock and Canadian customs confiscated it. Brutal. Silver lining is I ordered a Benchmade 943 afterwards and got hard addicted to the butterfly. Now I’ve got a Mini Grip and we got a Bugout for my brother in law to replace the steel frame Gerber that was weighing his pants down. His addiction is forming nicely. Nice to have another blade person in the fam.

hoplite ⚔️

I want an auto sooooooooo bad. Canada. So sad. Ordered a custom Benchmade Barrage with blue G10, satin tanto, black hardware and hot pink back spacer to get as close to a sick auto as we can round these parts.

hoplite ⚔️

I’d be all over a SOG Spec Elite if I could.
