I get the idea behind it replicating a Rolex and the price is a great deal but the end of the day a brand new right out of the store Rolex Submariner can be flipped for nearly double it’s MSRP and ones that are years old are still going above MSRP on the 2nd hand market, so on some level the Rolex is an investment offering respectable appreciation, granted this is a rare circumstance and by no means the norm of luxury watches but as far as Rolex stainless steel sports models go currently, they are well worth their MSRP.

The Nutnfancy Project

You have convinced to put links in for those watches, think there will be any takers here? Thanks Jeff.

Hold Fast Joe

I'm a fan of the Pagani! Their Daytona is spot on. One of these days I may splurge for one

Jeff Strickland

Like I said the Pagani is a great watch and would put it over Omegas in value because Seamasters depreciate as soon as you buy them but just as far as Rolex is concerned they’re currently in a very unique position, basically if you have the opportunity to pick up a new Sub or Explorer grab it and cash in the next day, other than that though the Paganis of the world do win the value battle.

Jonathan Tink Tink

Owning a Rolex is on my list of one day watches as an investment to pass on to my son. It’s is low on the list compared to all the other things I’m doing right now ( homesteading, preps and the like) but if I ever hit the magic lotto most definitely

Keanu Alfaro

You don’t need to spend thousands of $ to love and enjoy a watch. One of my most beloved watches is an homage Rolex DateJust that was given to me by my dad. The memories/ experiences tied to a watch are priceless. I think what’s more important is to buy a watch you can afford and adventure with it.

Younggun995

Dude I can't decide between the blue and the black with gold! Everyone can feel free to throw me their opinions lol

hoplite ⚔️

Stopped the video to say the orange perlon is a bonkers good. Been rocking the a light grey perlon on a blue mdv106 and some khaki perlon on a green orient. That shade blue and the orange together is juice.

Boone Mill Farm

Just to comment, to say hello. Just to show participation. I did enjoy the presentation. I did enjoy the presentation and the enthusiasm. Ain’t a watch guy but Nutn spins a good yarn. Yea, he likes this stuff. God bless all.

David Gaines

Still waiting to get that TNP watch!

Trey

Oh man I have been crushing on the brietling of this watch and I had to snag up this watch that pays it homeage. Thanks Nutn

The Nutnfancy Project

Sleep on it, maybe a couple days, then choose. Both are lookers. Let us know which one you got (my vote is for the blue btw)

The Nutnfancy Project

You are correct George! I have been wearing that combo today and it's just super fun. Seems way more expensive than it is. I really love these Paganis.

The Nutnfancy Project

Boone! Thanks for dropping by. You are in good company: several TNPP watch these watch reviews and they ain't watch guys at all. In every review you'll some stories and probably talks about the aircraft and stuff too.

The Nutnfancy Project

LMK how you like it Trey, it's cheap, fun, and durable. Send it to me if you want it hands modded.

Bluegill097

I bought the black and gold one on a mesh strap. Excellent. I think it’s the model Bond wears in the new movie No Time To Die

Bluegill097

Nutn!!! Thanks for the excellent pagani review! I have several and think they are hard to beat for the price (like you said). WRV is my place to be!

Bluegill097

Also I’m a bond nerd so I definitely already bought this one since I’m not buying an Omega any time soon. Maybe an Oris….?

hoplite ⚔️

Looking at them right now. Just not sure what colour to get on the Tudor snowflake homage. All blue or blue with black bezel. Let’s see what the wife says..

Trey

I would love a watch modded by Nutn. Along with a few TNP knives signed as well. A major Thank you for your content for us Patreon guys that keep watching your videos.

Todd Strelka

Very nice timepiece! I'm so glad watches are now part of the core content. Variety makes TNP better.

NoBullDoozer

Did you notice a day of the week wheel when you opened it up? That would be the 36. I think 35 is date only. Some assemblers just hide complications if it doesn’t fit the design instead of getting the exact movement.

Dean

Sweet watch review.

Bruce A Piland

Dude. Just set me back $300 for two! 😂

Michael B warner

Hey Nutn I'm slowly getting into doing hands modding. I was wondering if in your next WRV you could add a link to the type of tap that you prefer. I've tried a couple different kinds with little success due to the tape being too thick. Painting however has been working out great for me. I've adopted your method you used in your Mudmaster clone battery change video. That foam board trick with the toothpicks is excellent. However I've got a few watches with hollow hand's that I'd like to tape up, if you could point me in the right direction would awesome. Thanks again Nutn see you in the next one.

Jerry Hall

Just bought one from Amazon

Jerry Hall

You killing my pocketbook Nutnfancy with all these great products

JC

This channel is worth every penny.

Tacticaldoodle

It's so funny you grabbed this, came up in my recommendations on AZ, looked pretty good in the vintage coloration. I'm an absolute sucker for Seamasters with wave dials. The new bond one confuses me, on one hand I like the coloration being kinda FDE/sand colored, and I love the british armory broad arrow logo on it (like their milsurp stuff sold out of service), but on the other, I don't want to support modern propaganda machinations any more than I do. (which I don't, I've gone to three movies in the last eight years!)

JC

1 movie right here. The Addams Family cartoon.

Ol Retired Fed

Movies? Isn't that what they used to do in the old days before the internet and before TV? Back when radio was a thing?

Tacticaldoodle

I wonder what G-shock's minimum is. That rainbow frog edition was kinda cool

Nancy Merrell-Robertson

I think this would look great on me. Have to do some fancy work to make the band small enough. I like the all blue that you have pictured.

Chris Marchi

Great video. Makes me happy.

Bluegill097

That’s a lot to digest right there!

Tacticaldoodle

Honestly, even if I had the 15K necessary to buy a Rolex right now, I wouldn't go anywhere near them without knowing a LOT about them. I've seen the really high end fakes, and they're nearly indistinguishable. Even with a certificate or paper, anything short of getting it in person from the rolex factory would leave me doubting a bit of the auntheticity. Plus, the dealer thing, Rolex has really gone weird with their marketing, to the point where you damn near have to beg them to buy their product. Just doesn't seem like they're as worried about catering to watch enthusiasts. I'd go for older Rolex, maybe from a slumping price era, usually 90's if there's something to get. Not sure what I'd want, maybe a GMT explorer, if the bezel has some more flair?

Dione Kollee

Howdy Nutn! Great WRV! I live in Thousand Oaks Ca. Im working 2 jobs to make a living & save for a house. I work at Gretas Guns in Simi Valley & work private/armed security in Beverly Hills. I have been a TNP cast member for a long time now. I’ve been watching the project since 2014-15. Been a Patreon member for the last few years. We have property on the snake river right between Idaho Falls & Jackson Hole. I have been wanting to do a “guys only” road trip with my old man. He’s getting up in age & im dying to create more great memories with him. I’m happy to say that on 08/15 my old man & I will be taking a road trip to our property. Its a 9 hr drive from our house in Ca to Orem Utah. Of course we have to make a pit stop @ Gunnie’s. I’ll be ready for a gear check if we happen to bump into you there 😉 God bless! Hope you & your family are well brother!

Tacticaldoodle

While talking about this with a buddy, it was funny to not that while usually against clones/homages/ripoffs of famous luxe brands, he really liked this one because it made sure no money made its way into the new Bond 'abomination' movie they've been incubating.

Kevin Tanner

I've been hooked on time pieces ever since I first watched your Embarrassing Watch Collection video. I still love to go back and watch that one. There was so much eye candy on the table by the end! It's also interesting to see how your watch tastes have evolved since that one. I would love to see an updated 2021 Edition where you and TD layout your favorite pieces from your collections in table top form. Keep up the great work and long live the watch show!

Jeremy doblinger

Dang the Pepsi color one with a black nato strap on it would be a ringer for me.. great option here!

p Barnes

The constant support of cheap, sh$tty, Chinese products does less than bode well for this country. The commies played the long game indeed and they’re succeeding.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

As a data point, I have two speedmasters and two planet oceans, all bought secondary market. The speedmasters have doubled in value (the '68 more than double). The planet oceans have 'held their own' especially against the massive and heavy as f--k new models.

Daniel Herb

I got the all blue version! Cant wait to get my hands on it. What kind of tape did you use on the hands for the mod Nutn?

Mr. Attila the Hun

Build quality is poor. The alignment of the lunette and the dial is really annoying everytime I look at it. Worth the money - nope.

p Barnes

Lot of 30+ TNP patches for sale. I don't do social/liberal media so email me if interested at pbarnes43@gmail.com. Selling not a slight to TNP, just looking to replace some wall space in my workshop.

Logan Holmberg

It's pretty cool what you can get from some Chinese vendors these days. Especially since some of them recognize that Chinese mvmts dissuade people from looking at their watches so they started putting Seiko and Miyota mvmts in their watches. I picked up a Willard homage Steeldive 1970 and I love it. I'll take a $100 good watch over the $1000+ version any day...since I could never afford the Seiko anyways. I love my watch hobby but I gotta be realistic about what I can afford.

Logan Holmberg

You ever thought about starting a separate watch channel? I know you've probably looked into this but Iwonder if your watch reviews don't see a lot of views on youtube because of the "not youtube friendliness" aka guns vids of your main channel. You honestly do great reviews and you should be getting waaay more views for your watch content. I watch guys like Urban Gentry for the product value and the history deep dives he'll do on the watches and brands. But you are the only one that I've found who will take a 100m watch snorkeling and actually test it out to show that 100m is not just a good desk watch. Or just plain go diving or into the outdoors with your watches. I swim with my 100m watches all the time but most of these watch reviewers freak out saying 100m is not enough are you crazy! I like some of these guys but they get so freaked out about actually using the watch I question their intelligence some days. I think you could get a great following on a separate channel. At least as good as Just the watch or Just one more watch. IMO Note: I love Just the watch BTW. He's a pastor doing missionary work in Japan who focuses on "affordable" watches. I really liked the vid he did on if a watch is child durable with his kids. 😅 And he's upfront and honest from the get-go if he purchased the watch or he got it from the watch company.

Logan Holmberg

Note you can get a lot of these Chinese homage watches (like Pagani and Steeldive) on Alliexpress for allot less from Aliexpress. Especially when they have big watch sales every few months. You can also buy directly from Pagani or Steeldive for the amazon price or less and they usually always have stock. Also considering you can buy a single Seiko NH35 or some Myitoa mvmts for well under 50 bucks some places I think they are actual Seiko mvmts since they probably cost even less when they buy these mvmts in bulk from the Seiko or Miyota factories in China/Philippines.

Logan Holmberg

Ok so buy one keep it in a box for special occasions and then buy a Pagani or Steeldive so you can actually wear one and not worry about banging it up. I got a couple and you can't beat the value for the price.

Logan Holmberg

Well yeah, you can't beat the value. A proven worker mvmt for around 100 bucks is a great value. Sure the quality and finish are nowhere near a luxury brand but for a very affordable price you can't go wrong even if for some reason it dies in a couple of years. I picked up a Willard homage Steeldive 1970 and I bloody love it. Their customer service was actually good too as long as you phoned or chated during Chinese business hours.

Logan Holmberg

Yep, that's the way to do it. But why not pick up one of the Rolex homages for a very affordable price and see if you actually like it once it hits your wrist? That's what I'm loving about these Chinese homages is that its a very affordable way to figure out what you want before you go through the hassle of trying to find one a dealer will actually sell you.

Logan Holmberg

At these prices, you could always get both if its in your budget. If you don't like one I find these are great gifts. After all you can never be sure if you really like a watch until you actually put one on. Also, It's decent stainless watch steel and the mvmts appear to be what they claim from my exp.

Logan Holmberg

Usually, that's because they buy the mvmts in bulk from Seiko or Miyota, and it's cheaper to bulk buy one mvmt over less of each version. I don't know why people get so picky about that. Especially in a very affordable watch like these. I just want something dependable and I'm pretty sure these are if you get the Japanese branded ones,

Logan Holmberg

What's truly frightening is when I found out how much Omega paid for the "privilege" to be the Bond watch for every movie and for Craig to wear them. It's no wonder Omega, Rolex, and brands like Tag Heuer are so bloody expensive, Your paying way more for the name association to a movie or actor than the actual watch. Something I figured out when I looked up what a 30-year-old Rolex Explorer and Submariner actually cost back in the day. I can't believe that Rolex and Omegas used to be just kind of affordable and attainable well made tool watches.

Logan Holmberg

Well if you got the pockets you can still buy American pieces from companies like Ball watch company. Just be prepared for the sticker shock. Also remember that companies like MVMT watches and Daniel Willington are American watch companies that are worse than many Chinese ones in the way they try to fleece you. At least brands like Pagani, Steeldive, and some other Chinese brands are fairly honest in what they are selling you for an affordable price and they put their money into the watches. Not the 10 million YouTubers they pay to peddle their wares to you. Also if you want affordable watches from an American company check out Long Island watch. Yes, he sources his watches out of Japan and China But he's designing and selling you a good product. The global market is here to stay thanks to short-sighted greedy politicians and corporations unfortunatly.

Logan Holmberg

I had issues with bracelets on one of mine and they were very helpful. I went directly to their website and contacted support. Just remember they operate out of a Chinese timezone.

p Barnes

Couldn't agree more regarding LIW. I actually own an ISL-01 with an automatic movement that I bought a few years back for $300 that's actually quality and one my favorites. I also own a Lorier Neptune Series 3 given I'm a Texan and that company was launched by 2 TX teachers that love watches. MVMT/DW/Vincero are absolute garbage watches that rely on the exact same commercial to sell their crap product "we skip the middleman and deliver straight to you because of HUGE markups." I'll admit I've also owned and still own multiple Casios because of this channel including my favorite Pro-Trek PRG300 "star wars edition", a Riseman, a Rangeman and a Mudman. I love Nutn' but fundamentally disagree with having 60+ watches that are mostly legit with a some bogus COVID clones thrown in. There are products that I can't help but purchase that are exclusively chinese such as toys and electronics but for my money I would rather own a Lorier or an Islander than a POS Omega wannabe or a Smael etc. Just my 2 cents but the more $$ we throw at china the more jobs we throw away from this country. Save up for longer periods of time, forego impulse buys and buy quality goods that aren't made by communists.
