After researching the heck out of Orient and returning a couple I went with the Triton in green dial. First auto. Love it. A bit bigger than the others at 43.4. I’ll send a message to see if you’re down.

i have a hamilton khaki field auto black dial but i believe the one you want is the king khaki! i’m also interested in the titanium but i’ve been holding off till they make a day/date in titanium! right now it’s just date!

I have a Hamilton Open Heart Auto Jazzmaster whatever the heck they specify them as now ( the website is shit, as usual...) that's my dress watch. I don't wear jewelry, generally, and I wear my apple watch more often, but it's quality. I can also say their customer service is great. I sent mine back after a few years for a warranty tune-up and polish, and it's as clean and runs as new.

As an aspiring pilot, I’d be very interested in your take on watches with an E6B/slide rule (I see a Hamilton on your list with one). I’ve had my eye on the Seiko Flightmaster and Citizen Nighthawk specifically. Casio also has a couple of cheaper ones that I’ve considered. Most of the reviews of those watches just say “yeah the bezel has something to do with flight calculations, so I’m never going to use it” then move on. A pilot’s perspective on usability & usefulness would be great, especially Nutnfancy’s practical perspective.

I like those white seamasters. For being my dream watch growing up, I find it funny that I don't know their names ever. Seamaster 300, or something? I just call it the "scalloped one".

I would make sure the whole bezel rotates, if you think you'll ever use it. I think it's kinda cool, I use mine for kicks whenever I wear it. Grocery shopping and working out per-unit costs, that kind of thing.

We have the Navihawk A-T https://amzn.to/3oNliCj and I've love mine. The only downside is it could stand to be a bit larger for just a bit more legibility (hard to read if it's bumpy) and the knob on the left to change the ruler, it's easy enough to do with a finger, I just prefer a full face rotating bezel to really spin it in fast. I'd go for that module over the older skyhawks, they're alright but the UTC function, trinkets are easier to access on the navihawk. Seems to always get more expensive though, there are some special editions of it in red, gold, and such. For an old navitimer ripoff, I had my eye on the Rotary Chronospeed/aquaspeed for a while, but there are a lot of them. https://amzn.to/3cGtIFT amazon pricing there isn't that good, so shopping around is advised.

Awesome, that’s great input. I’ll check out those models for sure. While part of me likes the idea of it for the convenience of quick calculations or just as an extra backup, you’re probably right that it would end up mostly for fun rather than function.

I don't know if your doing digital watches anymore and its not on the list but I have a Casio Protrek PRW-30-1A JDM and/or a Seiko SafArnie snj031 if you want it? If you do my only question would be for how long? Picked up a Citizen BlueAngles BJ7007-02L for a steal over Christmas so it's getting the majority of my wrist time now once I fit a gorilla glass screen protector on it. 😅
