This is an expensive watch...and it's quartz. Let's take a look at this Hazard 4 tactical diver, loaned from a TNP Donor. It presents impressively: big, tactical looking, bold markings, layered dial, sword hands. Also the Hazard 4s are super lightweight, built of titanium, something I always like. I'll cover the details in this feature length WRV with a couple lower-priced competitive options (below) that I really like. At any rate this should be a fun review looking into a high priced quartz watch, rarified air in TNP!

Clicked immediately on this one.

Yep, bought one of the Deep Blues a few months back and enjoy wearing it regularly (DayNight Diver PC Black/Red Bez, holy hell that was a year ago!). Watches are like ear rings for men, gotta have a variety and be able to coordinate with the load out/outfit for the day.

I’d love to see a review on something like a seiko automatically winding mechanical watch

Trey

Well I watched it. This watch does not pull on the heart strings. I would buy a marathon diver before this thing given the price point.

Schmuckatelli

It's a cool looking watch. I like the FDE version. But there is no way I'm dropping $1000 on a Quartz watch. I'm used to wearing $50 watches.

Ian

Heavy water due to the radioactive tritium vials?...

RowdyRon

Nice to get a look at one of those. Sweet looking aesthetics overall. The price is completely nuts with that movement, but with a few minor tweaks, Hazard 4 wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelves. Be cool if the sandwich part of the dial was glow in the dark like your Deep Blue. NH35 is like a Honda Civic, but they keep running. Love the watch show, thanks Nutn.

Clint Raby

Cool watch but too pricey for me and not sure I could pull off a watch that big. Really like the FDE.

Alex Dodez

The one in FDE looks sick.

Downtrodden

Kudos to Ron for stepping up! Probably not easy to add extra wait time to enjoy the new watch.

Not buying the aqua marine in blue and orange is one of the great regrets I will carry throughout my life

Been waiting for an honest review of Hazard 4 watches. Thanks. I guess Hazard 4 is the Kimber brand of wristwatches. 😂

I have an Invicta grand diver. 47mm automatic. Great watch. Especially for the money.

That FDE version is sick! But the price is a no go for me. Heavy water is made with an isotope of hydrogen called deuterium which creates deuterium oxide. Heavy water is used in the refinement of nuclear material.

Love the looks and titanium, but second everyone else on the price for a quartz. I too would go for that Marathon JSAR you reviewed over this, for looks, quality, price, ETA movement, better bezel, etc. That one is $1000 in quartz ($5K in auto!! Yeesh.)
