Ive been carrying the gerber fastball cleaver. I like em, still feel like I need a drop or clip point of some kind though. Couldnt be an only knife.

None of these knives are “cleavers”! As far as I’m concerned they are all an homage to a cleaver but functional they not designed to chop and not put the hand in a safe position for said chopping. On a cleaver the blade has to be least three time as broad as the handle so that the edge of the blade leads the handle far enough to clear your knuckles from hitting the surface your chopping on. Iif it doesn’t do that then it is by definition not a “cleaver”. Okay back to watch the rest of the video where Nutn will probably say what I already just said… but better.

Love the long format. Those knives, not so much. That Deep Blue is beautiful. I recently got a Medford Praetorian T (drop point). The height of the blade from edge to spine is uncommonly larger than normal, to the point that it's almost "cleaver-like". I needed this video. Recovering from surgery last week. Thanks Nutn!

I got a Penguin a while back and it’s almost never been carried. It took me a while to figure out what I didn’t like about it; I mean, at its price point, the materials are great, the fit and finish are great, and the action is smooth. But something about the design doesn’t work quite right for me. It seems that the designers prioritized form over function. The ergonomics aren’t bad, but they’re not good. Plus the sheepsfoot blade (particularly the completely straight edge) just seems so much less versatile. There’s been a lot of hype on the internet for that knife, many claiming it’s the best budget knife ever. This video came too late for me to save my $30, but it certainly reinforced to me why I love Nutnfancy KRV’s so much.

Only thing I own close to a cleaver design is Spyderco Smock. I really like that knife. Love the eat shit commie, especially now. Hey.....anyone pick up that limited edition Leatherman Mr. Crunch that sold out in like two minutes????

Damn, was hoping that blue Civivi Bullmastiff might make it in this comparison KRV, oh well. I've got a QSP Snipe and a Nokomis for beaters, I leave one in the garage and the other in my gun room. Got my wife and my niece the Parrot in pink that's their EDC.

I agree that the cleaver blade is a fad. Don't like it at all and will never buy one. If someone likes it, that's cool. Just not for me.

I picked up a penguin about 3 months ago. as you said, the price is right. great for package opening/utility use. I really like it.

I have yet to pick up an Alpha Marine. Those lume shots that Nutn keeps showing us is making me really want to pull the trigger on one of them. I've got 2 Master 1Ks and I love both of them Nutn actually hands modded one and made it awesome.

Oh yeah, baby! LF-KRVs get me excited. As usual, competitive offerings and mini-reviews of unrelated items on the table are more appealing to me than the stars of the show. In this case, the Deep Blue Alpha Marine 500 dive watch and the Al Mar Eagle folding knife with blue G-10 scales both caught my attention. I had to go to CutleryShoppe.com and check the knife out. Not only does it come in that amazing blue, but they also have it in orange as well. Unfortunately, both are out of stock. Thanks for the highly informative and entertaining KRV. I always learn something new from these MEN-tertainment videos. LOL

The Penguin, with its flat belly, could be useful in a particular repair or creation of something. SWAC doesn’t matter for me as much in the garage’s toolbox. …Can’t have too many tools to choose from. Commies Eat $#!+

I’ve noticed you carry a lot of knives. If you cut back from 4 to 1. The weight savings would allow you to carry the 226 instead of a Glock. Just sayin
