Full featured review on the compact formed S&W M&P10 M2.0.  Maybe you can add it to this review on the M&P40 in 2017: https://youtu.be/6OSY7xgwIQQ.

I topped it the cutting edge red dot sight too for testing: the Holosun HS507C-X2 (below). It gets a quick review here too. Amazingly this M&P is about the same size of the 9mm or .40 S&W version. Pretty incredible. And yet it packs 15 rd 10mm firepower. Surely this thing must suck.

Not so fast. It's actually quite the opposite. Dial in to the video, brought to you by donors, and I'll show you lots of shooting with the M&P and how it impressed us.

Dropped this as I was watching another of your vids :)

RDS on all defensive fire arms are the way of the future....

Love the table top. Thanks. Btw if you call smith & wesson, they will send you a safety plug delete. You just have to remove the safety and push in the plug. The 10mm has the same plug already installed.

Brad Fegan

Definitely a review i been waiting for. 👍 👍 I liked the M&P 10 before the review. I really like it after the review. Hate the price of 10mm. Which is the real reason I don't have one. I have a optic on the 365XL. I am not really sold on the optic for daily carry. Next year I am supposed to be issued a Glock 17 with optic for work. Not sure how I really feel about that.

BRIAN J ANDERSON

Yes, the M&P 10mm review! I was afraid you would like it Lol! when I learned how to shoot pistol I started with the XD9, Tried to like the Glock but it just didn't fit my hand well or group for me. My 40 is a sig P250 that I also group well with. I think the 1911 10mm's are to heavy and round limited for me. So size, fit and ammo cost have delayed me adding 10mm to my system. The S&W solves 2 out of 3! Who wouldn't want 10,000 ft lbs of stopping power on their person? P.S. man that Holosun seems good with the large ring and battery life.

Buck Padooka Intel

I totally get the sight issue! I bent my sight removal tool trying to get the sights off. Holy crap! My brother, former USAF aircraft engine mechanic had the best methodology I’ve used. Drexel with cutting wheel right across the top. Just be careful you don’t go all the way through. Then just use a brass punch to break the sight.

Buck Padooka Intel

You shoot that gun very well! Some guns just fit some people! However, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to fire this gun inside my house without hearing protection. Add a suppressor and a WML makes this gun pretty dang close to absolute perfection. I love mine!

Clint Allison

Thanks for another M&P review. Self knowing and aware Smith nut swinger here. These guns are hard to beat for the money and they feel SO GOOD in the hand. Great video as always.

Seeker Keyl

Love the concept of the gun. I say 'concept' since I haven't seen or shot it (haven't been poking around gun stores recently; wallet can't take it). I will say though regarding the m2.0 in general, if I had to choose between my current carry system based around the FN509 and a similar one around the M&P, it would be a tough choice. The 10mm caliber moves the choice to the M&P of course since the options are lower there and the ergos are practically identical to what I am used to (according to handgun hero). Excellent piece and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Seeker Keyl

Curious what to hear what your concern is regarding optics. Ruggedness? Sight picture? Practicality? I'm a "dot person", for what it is worth. I think all three have been realistically dealt with in current optics.

Racing Psychosis

So glad they JUNKED that articulated trigger.

Racing Psychosis

I've gone with that same version Primary Arms ACSS of that Holosun for a G19 slide. Its awesome.

The Nutnfancy Project

"I am not really sold on the optic for daily carry." I do agree on this Brad. All shots will be close and fast in ROL and red dot not needed. For low light, longer ranges I do like them.

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

Man if you want to shoot 10mm you better be rich or reload. I don't find the recoil that unmanageable and I'm pretty small for an adult man, but I sure as heck don't make the 250k a year to afford to shoot it regularly lol Also the SW trigger sucked and that's why I got rid of my shield. It was a great gun but the trigger was awful. Glad SW is moving away from that horrid trigger.

David Elkins

I’m a Glock fanboy but love to see all of the great guns other makers are pushing out. It all comes down to personal preferences with so many great options. For me, a 10mm is more of a truck gun or would ride on a gun belt. A gen 3 g20 is on my to do list to pair with my G22/lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel / pistol brace in my go to war bag.

David Elkins

My department is slow rolling pistol optics also but I think everyone will benefit from them for duty use.

Todd Strelka

Ooh, this is the one I've been waiting for! I'm a Smith & Wesson M&P fan boy. I need this for bear country and the commie zombies.

David Elkins

The only problem I really see with optics for daily carry is how they print more concealed. But they bring more capability overall imo. With training just as fast or faster than acquiring iron sights, imo slightly better able to focus on target, and like you say better for all of the above at 25-50-100 yards. Probably no real benefit in close quarter engagements but no drawbacks either with proper training on acquiring the dot. There is a reason special ops and police departments across the nation have moved to them.

DuginIN

Some say you can safely use .40S&W in this gun.

Anthony Sias II

I have the same exact setup, M&P 10mm 4.6 inch paired with the Holosun 507C (ACSS Vulcan reticle). Love it so far. And the reticle is my favorite pistol red dot so far. Sidenote while running larger ring on the Vulcan reticle it does use a little more battery.

robert mccrory

i've never even held a MP but 10 mm i might have to check it out, i've been buying more knives than guns lately, but might check it out the glock 29 was too bulky to carry everyday i tried, but home defense full size mp might be legit

Hold Fast Joe

Talking about clown world for a moment at the end reminded me of what was said in one of the few shows I enjoy, gold rush. The guys on gold rush are looking at this being their final season because Alaska govt is shutting them down. They return the ground nicer than it was before they ripped it up to mine the gold, but that doesn't matter. Mining industry bad. Can't let people who want to work hard earn a dollar.

Elijah Ballard

Very nice video Nutn! I’ve been torn between the XDM, Glock 20 and this M&P 10mm. I’m not a fan of Glock because of how thick they are. I really like the grip on the M&P. They are almost have skateboard tape for grip. But also I think the XD fits my hands well.

Elijah Ballard

So much money is dedicated to preserving Alaska from the oil, mining, and fishing industries up here. It is really hurting Alaskans across the board how these industries just get trampled on by woke politicians.

Shawn Kuse

Had my Gen3 G20 for about 15 years now. It has an NP3 coated slide with a LoneWolf barrel. I also had the front slide magnaported with the barrel. This is my nightstand gun with the attached Olight Balr Pro green laser\flashlight attached. Never going to get rid of it.

Richard Leonard

Good timing on this video, it validates my research. Thanks Nutn.

steve garrett

Looked at smith 10 mm at gunnies and I was disappointed how crunchy the trigger take up was.

Moe Mansour

I love that hawk screeching in the background. He must be hunting for dinner. Sounds like a red tail. Awesome! 🦅

Bluegill097

.44 mag vs 10mm, which gets the nod ? I’ve never shot either one

Tim Bone

Great review. Was waiting for your take on the M&P2.0 10mm. (And no you're not an idiot...putting an after-market trigger in M&P's is a real pain in the a**!) I've carried an M&P40 on-duty and off for dealing with 2-legged predators on Chicago streets for over 14 years and I've never had problems or felt out-gunned. Now I REALLY want the 10mm but those ammo prices and availability make it a real concern. But those that own this pistol really seem to like the ergonomics, size and versatility.

Tim Bone

BTW...another huge advantage of red-dot optics on pistols...something never discussed: CLEARING ROOMS and STAIRWELLS with your pistol. Doing that with iron sights is not easy, hard on the eyes and quite exhausting. 😒 (And yes I know that it's safer to find a secure location and call police than to try and clear a building but that's not always feasible.) Try clearing your own home (safely of course) with a red-dot pistol vs. iron sights and you will see what I'm talking about!

Patrick Brichta

Love me some 10mm! My 29 goes with me when I go into the woods

BadgerTails

HOW are there still Rattlesnake Bokers in stock!!! My 10 love goes back to the S&W 1066/1076 Duty pistols. Tanks. Glock 20/29 are rocking my safe. The Colt Delta Elite gets carried A LOT, Underwood hot loads.

Steve Feeser

The grip on my m&p 2.0 45 is quite rough against my skin. I took sandpaper to the side against my skin and filled it a bit. Much more comfy and still grippy. I like the gun. I got the compact with full size grip and four inch tube. Still prefer my Kimber ProCarry though.

Joooosh

My velvety soft hands can take the grip on these for too long. Thats why I've incorporated a 2oz bottle of Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion into my EDC. If and when SHTF I'll be sure to lather up my falanges before first draw.

cody white

I love the 2.0 grip texture very much a improvement including the trigger. This is from the shield plus I bought after your review and I’ll say it’s a improvement. Look into alpha omega kydex holsters, alien gear holsters for holsters that protect your side from getting grip rub or worn out. Alpha is what I’m using for my PSA dagger

Reinbeck_11

I see this weapon in my future…. Thanks Nutn and in the spirit of Christmas every time you drop a vid my money gets wings. 💸

Scott Nelson

You're going to get me in trouble, Nutn.... I just got married.... Rent's due the first of the month... But this is now on the wish list!

Shot442

This gun has issues. Mine won’t feed 200 gr Federal. It’s not just you or your ammo. Other reports on internet of same problem. Sent it back to S&W and came back no different. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Joey

What was the brand of 10mm ammo that failed in all of the guns?

Michael Szymborski

Why buy a 507c over a 407c? It’s $80 more and the only difference is changeable reticle… no worth it to me but your mileage may vary.

TNSheep

if your hip on that, you really need to try out 30super carry. Hits like a 9, shoots like 380. $$

Racing Psychosis

The 507 is a circle + dot. The one he has in this video is a large circle + 10 MOA center chevron, its the ACSS reticle, like what Primary Arms uses in many of its optics. You can potentially use it for ranging. Its quite accurate at the peak of the chevron. I'll take it or the normal circle dot over just a dot any day.

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

Finally watched this video, can confirm the grip texture is rough on clothes and skin but I love it. Really locks the gun in when I shoot.

Dalton

Thanks for this GRV! Love the 10mm with a passion 😎🐾🤙🇺🇸
