TD and I review the Samsung Galaxy Smart watch. This is a series 3 but we talk about the others and how this is TacticalDoodle's fave smart watch so far. Can you guess why? The face mimics a nice Fleiger watch which attracted me. Ergos, faces, battery life, straps, quality, durability, value, legibility, and more are covered.

We make comparisons agains the Apple Watch which I prefer. This are several issues I experienced with the Galaxy that kind of turned me off to it. Another fun WRV brought to life b. of watch fans who are donors to TNP.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm, and I love it. Best use is to get Patreon notifications. It has the rotating bezel ring, too. The Watch 4 and newer have the WearOS operating system, which is an improvement over the Tizen OS. The Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 are not compatible with Apple phones unfortunately, due to the new WearOS 3 developed by Google and Samsung. But I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 phone so they work well together. I made some sick TNP watch faces too.

My Gear S3 Frontier has been my daily for like 6 yrs. I easy get 48hrs out of a charge still. I use as wrist computer and watch. Bixby does suck balls. Love using mine for golf yardage in the summer.

I run analog pieces at the moment. Very much enjoy the watch as a whole. Hate to see it sustained on life support alone. Thanks Nutn and TD for the great vid.

As much as the smart watch concept is practically better than an analog in almost everyway (except battery), I can't bring myself to run them. I started wearing watches to distance myself from unnecessary technology usage and a smart watch would totally defeat that purpose. I'm also a paranoid person who unplugs Alexa when I'm not using it to keep it from listening to me all the time. I'm not going to wear something which is always tracking my entire life. At this moment in time, analog or bust.

Very interesting vid. I run that exact Fitbit on my right wrist and an analog on my left. I never take the Fitbit off except for an hour every 10ish days to charge, but I swap out watches daily. The Fitbit tracks all the health stuff I need and I am trying to disconnect from the inter webs so I like that it is limited in functionality outside of reading texts or call notifications. Plus it is very unobtrusive. If I got a real smartwatch, like you stated, I don’t think I would be comfortable wearing two large pieces on my wrists. So that’s a hard no for me I love my analogs too much. I like the philosophy convo. Thanks TNP!

Over the last few years I've moved from using an analog watch only, to adding a Fitbit, and now replacing the Fitbit with a Pixel Watch. Other than the need for daily charging, I like the Pixel Watch. I typically charge it during the day while I'm at a desk working, so that I can use it while I'm active and use the sleep tracking at night. Keep the watch show rolling, thanks Nutn and TD!

Because of the watch reviews I run two watches. I used to only run my Apple 2 watch, until I got hooked on analogs. Now I enjoy a rotating through different analog watches and just wear a smartwatch as a wrist computer. I did upgrade my smartwatch to a garmin tactix because of the battery life. It gives me close to month on one charge and a lot of useful features.

I’d be curious to see what you thought of the Citizen CZ Smart Hybrid watch. Aesthetically I think you would hate because of the hands and chapter ring. But I’m curious about the function. I like the idea of analog time and customizing data on the face.

My edc watch is a Garmin forerunner, I got the cheapest one at 113 bucks at Walmart. I only wear one at a time so during the week I wear the Garmin so I don't care if it gets wet or damaged and on the weekends or when I'm hanging out I'll wear my nicer watches, usually an avi-8. I love my Garmin, definitely better than the fossil sport it replaced.

Garmin instinct tactical I’ve had for 5 years, battery lasts 2 weeks at a time. Looking to get solar. Watch face never dims. Lots to modify. Love that watch
