Hey you remember my 2008 Benchmade Nimravus review? https://youtu.be/d503qBgXojk I still stand by that one but that fixed blade BM is long gone. From that review, some military TNPrs used that Nimravus as an LBE knife in Iraq and Afghanistan ops. Would the newer Anonimus be a good option for that? Hmmmm. Anyways I am excited to see such an excellent blade emerge from Benchmade...these fixed blades from them are few. Fewer still are really awesome ones like the Anonimus.

Covered here will be my initial impression of the blade and how I might buy it and get out and thump it a bit. Good views make sure that will happen ;-). This Benchmade has great steel, good looks, a perfect grind, xlnt sheath, it's lightweight, and has a long enough handle. All in all it's a welcome surprise from Benchmade and though pricey, it's a rec'd SS woods and maybe even Soldier Blade here in TNP!

Gear shown in this KRV!

I actually want a new fixed blade knife. I've been eyeing the OKC Rat 6. This Benchmade looks great but might be a bit out of my price range. The only fixed blade knives I use are beater Moraknivs. I need to step it up though. Definitely appreciate this video!

Love the fixed blade content

Benchmade always has good looking knives.

Hey Nutn. Gonna push back a bit. I would like to know where a knife is made, which forge the steel was made. I would like to know what the cost to produce. And what is Bench's margin is. As we go along I would like to support American workers and American Steel. Bench seems to be moving to obfuscated sources material and unknown production. Americans engineering with non-American production process is what I want to move away from. So the details which I would like to know in a review, are important to me. And probably your other pats and yt subs would also like to know too. 279 for an overseas produced knife is a grift, and not a meritable transaction. They should place the production location on the knife as well.

I own this blade,. I have for about a year now and have only used it for work purposes.I have not had any outdoors use yet, but so far the blade has Held up very well and I absolutely love this knife. Also I was able to tighten the sheath to give it a more secure fit and it definitely helped

I'm not a Benchmade honk, actually don't own one, but I used to deliver their steel to their Oregon City, OR production plant. They all say made in the USA as far as I know.

Waiting on the TNP edition fixed blade! A edc itwb/survival would be cool, but whatever TNP decides will be awesome!

Always happy when a new KRV pops up!

Dean

Where was the steel from?

Jordan Parker

Good lookin knife, I'd love to see some in field testing. Thanks Nutn!

Anonimus and Leuku both in stock as of 8:30 Eastern at the links provided. I bought both. Been looking for a good fixed blade and these definitely hit the mark. Probably gonna put the Leuku in with my camping gear and the Anonimus will go on my bump-in-the-night belt. Of note, the Leuku now comes with a slim leather holster rather than the kydex one shown in the video.

Appreciate the fixed blade content 👌

Wayyyyyy….. too expensive, no thanks. Why not an Essee or onterio rat 5?

Scotty Hearns

I have a few Spydercos in Cruwear, and I am loving it.

Aaron Burnett

Would you consider this a GTW fixed blade option?

Greg Malcom

LOVE KRV's! Thanks Nutn!! (Still can't forgive Benchmade for being anti-2A.)

Shawn Kuse

Heck yeah, looking forward to a shitty knife review!!! In regards to this vid, I will stick with my Cold Steel SRK.

Joshua Mount

Benchmade back in the day was cool because they still offered some value to their knives and they didn't go full anti 2A. Nowadays when a bugout is absurd money and you can purchase other competitive option for far less I look elsewhere. As for my bush/survival knife I'm still on the Dave Canterbury mindset of using a 4-5 inch full tang 1095 knife. 1095 can be seriously abused. Yes 1095s edge retention sucks but it's very easy to sharpen in the field. I personally like Esee but there's other good ones. I also don't mind paying for a good knife but this knifes in a weird category where I can spend slightly more and get and Winkler or a Bark River or spend far less and get the same job done with another USA made knife company.
