TD and I do a time efficient HDMT review. An incredible deal this Bibury "Pro" or "Bro" model has some incredible features at an incredible price. This heavy duty multi-tool at this price probably won't last long as experience has shown. So we're doing an expedited review for you, made possible by paying TNP donors!

The Bro takes some cues from the Leatherman multi-tool series like the SuperTool and Surge but breaks new ground with its included detachable saws, its bigger scissors, and 3D driver bit capability. Quality seems very high and with viewer support we'll hard test it. We'll also talk about a home defense Nutnfancy Glocks and its light/laser,, the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, the Tomica Hamburger car, and a front dig mining Cat too!

Nice recommend. I think I’ll put one each in my truck tools and camping gear. Hard to pass up at that price. Seems like a direct competitor for that (was it Nextool ?) one from last year.

Watched the review and ordered it. Lately I've been wanting a MT to throw in the trunk of my Camry, which is my knock around town and highway driving vehicle. I was thinking about a Wave for the Camry, but I've just been hesitant to spend that much on something that will very rarely get any use. Didn't have a MT dedicated to the Camry cause I had been belt carrying a Charge, but lately I've been carrying a Powerpint more of the time. This vid solved that problem for me. Thanks Nutn! I bought the version without the black coating for $2 less in hopes that the scissors might work better if uncoated.

Tacticaldoodle

I forgot to mention in here that I actually routinely leave out my multitools altogether if I'm gonna be leaving my kit out in the open for a while. The last thing I need is one of your shiny, fancy swisstool classics tempting the dumb and greedy while I'm in the next building

Back in the early 2000's I worked as a pipefitter in Fort McMurray. Got to see some amazing equipment at the Horizon oil sands. Like the Cat 797s. You truly don't get a perspective of how massive every component on that truck is until you're standing next to it. But the one that will blow your mind is the draglines at Syncrude. You could park a couple pickup trucks in their bucket no problem. Their crane cables are about 8" in diameter and need to get radiographed multiple times a year to determine when they need to be replaced. Which is about a million dollar job lol. I mean, there's a lunch room in the freakin things. They have some on display at the Giants of Mining exhibit in Fort McMurray if anyone wants to see one in person.

Todd Strelka

Now that's a multi-tool I could write off to a kit. I use my Leatherman multi tools nearly every day.

ATTENTION ABOUT THE SCISSORS: make sure the liner lock is fully deployed or the spring WONT WORK. Guys I have 2 of these. Bought them about 2 weeks ago. The scissor spring won’t work UNLESS the scissors’s liner lock IS fully deployed. The liner locks on this multitool require some breaking in FOR ALL tools.

Vat, no watch shout out? Ordered. I have way too many MTs FFS! Thanks ☺️

I had one of their wave clones and it seemed like a good tool and only cost $30 but within the first month of regular non-abusive using it snapped part of the pliers right off. I've broken leathermans and such PLEANTY and the warranty is awesome but most of the time I was putting a little more on the tool than it could handle and I knew it... the clone broke as I was simply gripping a nut on a car battery. I hadn't even turned it, just grabbed it and SNAP. I initially thought it was a fluke or lemon but my coworker had the exact same problem a few days later so idk. A leatheman it isn't (obviously) but it has a place I suppose. I've since taken that same money and bought used actual leatheman tools at pawn shops and eBay for my go bags... if shtf I'd rather have a decent tool with me that has a better chance of holding up.

Willie Everett

If they hold up they would be great in a vehicle or in a range bag.

Adam

who cares about the multitool were do i get myown winner wagen at LOL

Mike Y

The Honorable Reatherman. Looks like I have some early stocking stuffers.

Matt

I'll have to check it out. Recently purchased the Flissa Wave clone. Had it about five months with standard use and no issues.

Salted Senior

Looks like a perfect MT for kits. Nice find. BTW, the Surge I bought last year also has the jig saw blade functionality which was the main reason I purchased. Looks like my wallet is going to get a little thinner.

PeepsOnEaster

whats best for ocean use nutn and team?

Porter3861

Pre watch response - I’ve got plenty multi tools and I don’t need any more. Post watch - Ordered. Thanks for a great value recommendation!

CBlaster 1

Looks great but what are you going to cut with those jigsaw blades? They look way to coarse for a small handle tool.

S_LAWLESS

Thanks Nutn. I just got one for my vbok and it does seem very high value for dedication to a kit. The standard size driver is great; maybe Leatherman will take a look and update the Surge.

PNWTRAVELS

I bought one, almost bought two. Lol

Thomas C Heston Jr

Bought one to give to a friend. Should have bought another for myself. Way Cool!!

TenaciousAmerican

Is this thing on? I came back to find the Patreon overlords can't keep things straight in the billing. Sheesh... They placed an old credit card over the current. Keep it up Nutn I usually scan on the U of Tubes and check in here. Apparently not enough Ha! .

Racing Psychosis

Why in the car? As a spare? A MT is on the person/EDC bag carry imo. In the car should be real tools in a tool box, or spares especially if you have a trunk. If I have my truck or my car with me, I'm using my fullblown tool box for working on things, not my Leatherman MT. If you are on a budget start small and build it out gradually. Different story if I'm miles away from truck/car, then its the MT as I'm not carry a toolbox with me. Just some thoughts. If I have a vehicle, on person SAWC doesn't really matter to me in the vehicle. Hoofing it on foot, different story.

BadgerTails

Dudes dudes dudes dudes dudes ....it's TOOL TIME!!! Yes!

Tacticaldoodle

All I can say: Super tight clip, maybe even lanyard retention. Very easy to lose one of these when you're wet, and everything is slippery

Tacticaldoodle

Might be, the coarseness is meanto to finish the job as quickly as possible - the rough finish on the resulting cut is....a definite drawback. But having used them I recall preferring them to super fine blades, because anyhing I do with a multitool will already be pretty ugly work

Tacticaldoodle

That's gonna be an interesting tack, let's see if it works. Could definitely see it be a bit sharper

I've probably got $500-$600 worth of tools in with my recovery kit in my Jeep and untold thousands in my work truck. I just need a little something in my grocery getter. I've got a set of jumper cables, a little socket set, one small and one medium crescent wrench in there and now this MT. Worst case if I need more than that I'll just take an Uber home and get my work truck. Even if I had to do that 10 times it would be cheaper than buying another duplicate tool set. Also I don't feel like I need all that crap in my trunk 24/7 so I can drive to Walmart and church and the grocery store. If you want to make every single vehicle you own an entirely self sufficient independent system good on you bro. I just don't have money to burn.

small axe

I also get 100 miles of free towing from AAA. So I could just ride home in the tow truck and fix my car at my leisure.

David Spinks

Thanks for the review Nutn. Looked promising. I tried one and got a lemon, returned it. The liner locks were all over the place. Sometimes they worked sometimes they wouldn't engage. Sometimes they stuck so bad it took 2 fingers to push hard enough to dissengage.

Tacticaldoodle

I half suspect leatherman will move to standard drivers....but I worry they aren't looking at their competitors to see that everyone likes them. The 2-d bits are proprietary kit and the accountants LOVE that kind of thing

Tacticaldoodle

Very good to know, thanks. Never know how many lemons there are.

Josiah Pierce

thanks for this! gonna buy one of these to put in my wife's car tool box. keep em rolling Nutn!
