ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Happy Tuesday everyone! We hope you had a good week start :)We still haven't got any news about the embroidery machine, which makes us a bit anxious. But we have to keep working hard. We'll focus on working on patterns and designs as much as we can to have the plushies ready for the embroidery part.

What a better way to start March than working on one of the most loved species in Animal Crossing, the game we all want to play in two weeks? None! Because yes, it's time for us to work on this game's squirrel patterns. We'll make Filbert as a commission, and will take the chance to make an extra one for us, together with Marshal, since they're casually our fave villagers from the franchise and we didn't want to lose the opportunity.

For these plushies, we'll use a mix of references. We'll use both in-game screenshots, the 3D models, and the new renders of the upcoming game. This time, we'll also try to adapt the proportions to get a better look, since the 3D models have a really big head. The model's proportions are meant to fit your vision angle on the games, and don't look that good when you see them from the front. We don't want the plush to have a head too big or with weird proportions.

In conclusion, we'll try to make the correct shapes and proportions, while adjusting them so they look good in a plush.

For the plushies, we'll make both clothes: the old ones and the new ones. Also, in Filbert's case, the customer wanted him to have the face expression of the second picture, and he'll also have his arms raised to the fornt, so he can hold a pizza slice on his hands, which will be held with magnets. It will look like he's offering the pizza, a really cute idea <3

Pattern-wise, the most difficult parts will be getting a good head shape, and the squirrel tail. These king of tails are a hell to make...The face embroidery will also need extra attention since the commissioned Filbert will be quite big, and the whole face may not fit in one hoop. The clothes will also need some special attention, but they will look good, for sure!

We wish that someday we could make a villager of each species, that way we' could make ANY villager anytime, since their base body is the same for all villagers of the same species ^^
