Furry OC plush by Zeru - WIP 8: Body + claws done + faux fur fabric (Patreon)

After a week fixing the body patterns a bit and finishing the arms and legs, we have the final body. We'll talk about what we've done ^^

First, we made some changes to the shoulders and thighs patterns, so they fit better to the body.With this fixed, we started testing the base of the legs. And it took us more than we expected. We had to make several tests until the feet were round and well stuffed.

Once the feet were done, we started to work on the "fur" of their hands. The customer wanted them made of minky simulating hair bangs. We tried different ways but they didn't convince us, until we used foam to keep the shape, and glued it to the inside of the plush so the hand base didn't pop out when stuffing it.

Finally, we worked on the claws. We first made some paper tests, like if they were papercraft. We got our base pattern from that, and made them with fabric. We made sure that the hand claws were long and curved. They were all pretty fast to make, so we started sewing them to the arms and legs. The hand claws were more difficult to sew because there was little spaceand they were all over each other. But with some patience they turned out great.

And now that the body is done, except for handsewing the arms and legs to the body, we can only say that we're in love with this plush. We attatched a couple of pics of how he looks now. The lights are unedited and the bag on their head is to prevent it from getting dust and black fluff over it, and the horns are placed different because we were looking to change their positions.Each detail we add makes it look more adorable and pretty. Just look at those cute paws <3

We also like it so much becasue it's an original character, and a furry, and we're currently very hyped with this kind of designs. But don't worry we love any kind of commission~

This afternoon we will finish the hand sewing of the body. So we will finally be able to start working on the last part; the mane and tail. We can't wait to see how faux fur looks on this plush and work on the color changes. Here are some pics of the fabrics we're going to use!

Después de una semana arreglando un poco los patrones del cuerpo y acabando las patitas, ya tenemos nuestro cuerpo final para el peluche. Os contamos qué hemos ido haciendo ^^  

Primero hicimos unos cambios en el patrón de los hombros y muslos para que se pudieran coser mejor al cuerpo. Arreglado esto, hicimos las pruebas para cerrar nuestras patitas. Y nos costó más de lo que esperábamos. Tuvimos que hacer varios intentos hasta que quedó redondo y bien relleno.  

Una vez teníamos la base de las patas, nos pusimos a trabajar en el "pelo" que tiene en las manos. El cliente quería que fuera con minky y que simulara pequeños mechones. Usamos diferentes métodos pero no nos convencían, hasta que al final usamos espuma para darle forma y que no se saliera para fuera las costuras al rellenar.   

Finalmente, nos pusimos a trabajar en las garritas de todas las patas. Para sacar la forma hicimos unas pruebas en papel, como si fueran papercraft, y de ahí, obtuvimos un patrón base. Miramos bien que tuvieran curva y las sacamos bastante rápido. Así que nos pusimos a coserlas al peluche en si. Las más difíciles fueron las de las manos, porque a parte de ser muy largas y grandes, tenían que colocarse y coserse en muy poco espacio. Pero con paciencia, acabaron quedando muy bien.   

Y ahora que tenemos el cuerpo terminado, a falta de coser a mano las patas, solo podemos añadir que este peluche nos tiene super enamoradas. Hemos subido un par de fotos para que veáis cómo se ve ahora. No tienen la luz editada, y la bolsa es para que no se le llene la cabeza de polvo y pelusas negras y los cuernos no están puestos iguales porque estábamos mirando cómo ponerlos bien. Cada detalle que añadimos hace que se vea más adorable y bonito. Solo mirad qué monas se ven esas patitas <3

Seguramente nos hace tanta gracia porque es un peluche original y furry, y ahora andamos con mucho hype de ese estilo de diseños. Aunque no os preocupéis, seguimos echándole amor a todo tipo de encargos ~

Esta tarde dejaremos cosido todo el cuerpo. Así que nos pondremos por fin a trabajar en la última parte; la confección de la melena y cola. Tenemos muchas ganas de ver cómo le queda el faux fur en el peluche y trabajar los cambios de color. Os dejamos unas fotos al final de las telas que vamos a utilizar!
