ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

We planned on posting the finished plush this week, but since it's taking us a bit to get the last parts done, we'll show you what we've been working on ^^

Once the mane patterns were done, it was time to make them with the final colours.  We had never made colour changes with faux fur, so we were worried that they wouldn't look good, like the lines not defined enough or the fabric change too sudden. In the case of the side tufts, they looked so good! It looked that it was the same fabric piece that changed colour. You couldn't see the seam at all. We had to brush and trim the purple edges a bit to marke the shapes more and make the blue more visible. There are some pics so you can see it. We love how natural it looks.

In the case of the mane base, the big piece, we had some problems. We planned on leaving more or less the same amouhnt of blue that in the tufts. But being such a long fur, it's difficult to guess how it will look on big pieces. As you can see in the last photo, on the first test the blue was barely visible (and there was a lot of blue already). And the biggest problem was that you didn't see any blue from the front.

So we made 2 more tests. On the second thest, the blue was more visible on the side, but it was still not visible from the front. The third test doesn't have the purple edges trimmed yet and you can already see a lot of blue. It's now visible from the front, but the pics still show too few blue, probably because photos are a 2D adaptation of 3D objects after all. We'd like the blue to be more visible, but if we add more, it will become the main colour instead of the highlights.

But well, apart from that small issue, the mane is turning out super beautiful. You can see on the first test pic how cool it looks with all the tufts. We're very proud of the work we're doing with this plush and specially working with faux fur.

You will probably see him finished this weekend!
