Personal project - Sasha Animal Crossing (Patreon)

Happy week everybunny!

When the new Animal Crossing DLC was announced, we fell in love with some of the new characters they announced. But, without doubt, the one that stole our hearts was Sasha, the mint colour bunny. So after doubting a bit, we decided to make a mini plush of him as a personal project! We're always afraid to make plushies in our free time, because we feel guilty thinking that we should be doing commissions instead. But after fixing the Inteleon plush a few weeks ago, we've convinced ourselves to make more projects for ourselves just for fun. 

To make this plush, we based on the mini squirrel patterns, since their shapes are similar. We also based on the 30cm rabbit villager pattern we started working on last year. So, we pretty much knew what to do,how to transform the patterns and what proportions we wanted. And we were lucky, because in the second test we already got a prototype we loved!!

Once we had the head and body, we tried to make his jacket to see how he would look like. And he was adorable.We made all this last Sunday and some nights after work during the week.

And yesterday we decided to make a first face embroidery test. And just with the first try we already LOVED the result. He looks gorgeous, with the expression we wanted and a very pretty embroidery. We may make some changes to it once we've made all the other parts of the plush, but since they are small changes and it's a plush for ourselves, it's not really needed.Next Sunday we will try to make his head details and make the final body. Who knows, we may even finish him before the DLC comes out! >w<

We want to finish the post remarking that we are making this plush fast because we already had base patterns that we've used a lot to work on, and that we were lucky to get a good shape with just a couple tests. And finally, like we said, since it's something we're making for fun and quickly, we're not as perfectionist as we are with commissions. It happened the same with the Galar starter pokemon, which we made the 3 of them in a week, but working way more than 8 hours a day with barely any break hahaha

Feliz inicio de semana everybunny!Cuando anunciaron el nuevo DLC de Animal Crossing, nos enamoramos de algunos de los nuevos personajes que enseñaron. Pero, sin duda, la que nos robó el corazon fue Sasha, el conejito color menta. Así que tras dudar un poco, nos aventuramos a hacerlo en mini peluche como proyecto personal! Siempre nos da algo de miedo dedicar nuestro tiempo libre a hacer peluches, porque sentimos que deberíamos entonces dedicarlo a los encargos. Pero después de arreglar a Inteleon hace unas semanas, nos sentimos muy contentas y nos convencimos en hacer más proyectos para nosotras.Para hacer este peluche, partíamos de que teníamos ya los patrones de mini ardillas, que son muy similares a los vecinos conejo en cuanto forma de patrón, y que el año pasado habíamos empezado a patronar una base de conejo de 30 cm. Así que sabíamos bastante bien en qué forma trabajar y qué proporciones usar. Y tuvimos suerte, porque a la segunda prueba, ya tuvimos un prototipo que nos encantaba!!Una vez hicimos cabeza y cuerpo, probamos a hacerle algo de ropa para ver cómo se vería. Y era adorable. Todo esto lo hicimos el fin de semana pasado y alguna noche entre semana al terminar de trabajar.Y ayer, nos lanzamos a probar el bordado para la cara. Y es que a la primera prueba ya nos ENAMORÓ el resultado. Se ve precioso, con la expresión que queríamos y un bordado super bonito. Quizás le hacemos unos ajustes mínimos al terminar todo el resto del peluche, pero como son cambios muy poco significativos y es algo para nosotras, no es tan necesario.Este próximo domingo seguramente podamos hacerle ya los detalles de la cabeza y pasar a limpio el cuerpo. Y quién sabe, quizás podemos terminarlo antes de la salida de DLC! >w<Queremos terminar el post haciendo hincapié en que este peluche estamos consiguiendo hacerlo rápido porque ya partíamos de unas bases de patrones que hemos usado mucho, además de tener suerte de que salieran a la primera o segunda. Y por último, como hemos dicho, al ser algo para nosotras que queremos hacer rápido, no somos tan exigentes como si fuera un encargo. Nos pasó igual con los pokémon iniciales de Galar, que los pudimos hacer en una semana los 3 (aunque trabajando más de 8 horas al día, sin descansar jajaja)Qué os parece cómo está quedando? Os gusta?
