Sprigatito WIP 2: Head patterns + embroidery test (Patreon)

ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL
Hello everybunny!
After finishing Melia and Wooper, we finally started Sprigatito. If you remember, it will be one of the next pattern rewards for you~We're honestly really excited to finally be able to work on this baby, and we can't wait to show you how it's going!!
For the patterns we started with the head, as always. Despite the shape is similar to Animal Crossing heads, it's not exactly the same, and it also has a muzzle that stands out. So we started making pattern tests. The first two tests were pretty lame hahaha, but we had an enlightment moment with the third test. We loved Lopmon's nose shape, so we made a fusion of the head we had and Lopmon's face pattern. After a few changes, we got the perfect head!!We love the shape we managed to get, it's identical to the 3D model. We didn't expect to get such a great pattern so fast.
We made the details with paper, and the shape was so similar that we traced the ears directly from the references and they fit the head perfectly. We love it when these things happen, they make us feel super proud of our work ^^
So since we got the head pattern so fast, we decided to make an embroidery test~ We don't have much green fabrics, so we thought on doing the tests in another colour. And then we said "what if we use pink fabrics and make a Spring-gatito?" It was a great idea without doubt, because it looks adorable in those colours hahahaThe first embroidery test turned out pretty cute, but there were things that didn't convince us. First, the mouth was too big. The iris of the eyes were too big, there wasn't enough white, and the black outline stood out too much. So we fixed the eyes and shortened the mouth, and also changed the tips of the applique a bit and made a second test.
And here you can see the pictures of said second test. And we are IN LOVE! It looks incredible ;__; exactly like the original. Both the shapes of the embroidery and his expression. You can see a comparation photo of the two embroideries to see the changes.
We also received the pink safety noses we had ordered just in time for the second embroidery test, they're so pretty. We will use them on the finished plush too.
As a last thing to say, if you look closely, we managed to make the muzzle a bit lumpy. If you remember, we made a similar thing with Heracross years afo.
What do you think? Do you like how it's turning out already? We're excited to work on the body! And to be honest, we feel bad for throwing away this second head, because it turned out beautiful. So we are thinking on maybe make all the pattern tests with the same fabrics and sell a Sakura Sprigatito at a discounted price, since it will be the prototype plush. What do you think?

Hello everybunny!
