Bunpinyon WIP 2: Amanita hat tests (Patreon)

ENGLISH/ESPAÑOLHello everybunny :DSorry for taking so long to post, last week was a bit stressful. But today we have a new Bunpinyon WIP!Once the clay hat was dry, we took the patterns out of it using the tape method, and we did a first test. It looked funny, but it was too small and needed many changes. At the end, we did 3-4 more tests changing the shapes, the brim and the inner structure. The most difficult part was making it look like a mushroom hat and make it fit on the bunny's head. For those who don't know, plush hats have always been one of our weak points hahaha. There were many elements that made the patterning more difficult. We wanted the crown to be stuffed to be bigger than the head, and we wanted the brim to make the waves.We finally got a shape we liked! Then it was time to try to make the gill effect to the underbrim. In order to make said effect, we sewed a quilt batting layer to the minky, making several lines per piece, which also give stiffness to the hat's brim. We sewed the lines with the sewing machine, but we want to try to make them ITH for the next test. We're worried that it will give us troubles for being so thick, but we have to try it to know.With the underbrim pieces done, we sewed them to the red parts, finishing the hat. We tried it on our furry friend's head, and when we saw it we couldn't help to say "awwwww".It looks SO cute with it's small mushroom ;__; we love the shape of the brim and the gills on the underbrim. It looks so realistic.The only thing we may change is that the brim still needs to be a bit longer, to cover the eyes more, like the original design. Though we don't know if we will do it or we'll leave it like this, with the eyes more visible. Since it's a small change, we can decide it later.What do you think? We think it will be easier, as it's a more common shape and it will be hollow.----ESPAÑOL----Hello everybunny :DPerdón por la tardanza, tuvimos una semana un poco estresante. Pero hoy toca nuevo WIP de los Bunpinyon!Una vez teníamos la base de arcilla seca, sacamos los patrones bases con la técnica del celo que solemos usar, e hicimos una primera prueba. Quedaba graciosa, pero era muy pequeña y con muchos cambios que hacer.Al final hicimos 3-4 pruebas cambiando la forma de la base, el largo del ala y la estructura de dentro. Lo más difícil era conseguir que se viera como la forma de un sombrero seta y que encajara en la cabeza de conejo. Para quien no lo sepa, los sombreros de peluche siempre han sido uno de nuestros talones de Aquiles jajaja. Y había muchos elementos que dificultaban el patronaje. El centro tenía que verse relleno, y queríamos que el ala dibujase bien las curvas. Finalmente sacamos una forma que nos convencío! Entonces era el momento de probar a hacer el relieve de debajo del ala. Para hacer ese efecto, añadimos una capa de guata laminada, cosida a la minky en varias líneas, que además también le aportan rigidez al sombrero. Las íneas las cosimos a máquina, pero para la próxima prueba, veremos si podemos hacer el " bordado" ITH con la guata en la bordadora. Solo nos preocupa que de problemas al ser tan grueso, pero hay que probarlo para saberlo.Dejando ya estas piezas hechas, las cosimos a las partes rojas, terminado el sombrero.  Luego se lo pusimos a nuestro peludo amigo, y es que cuando lo vimos, no pudimos evitar soltar un " Awwww".Se ve TAN adorable con su setita ;__; y nos encanta el vuelo que hacen las alas y las curvas que se marcan en la parte blanca de debajo. Se ve súper realista.Lo único que tenemos que cambiar quizás es que el ala aún necesita ser algo más larga, para que tape más los ojos, como en el diseño original. Aunque no sabemos si hacerlo o dejarlo así, con los ojos más asomados. Como es un cambio mínimo, podemos decidirlo más tarde.Qué os parece a vosotros? Ccreemos que ese será más fácil, ya que es una forma más común y estará hueco.
