What We Are Reading (Patreon)

Hey everyone. First I wanted to thank you all for your support, love, and comradeship during this time. Everyone here at TMBS has been so moved and are encouraged about going forward.

For new patrons, every two weeks I put together a few pieces that I have been reading or more historical & philosophical pieces I think are needed in this time. I hope you enjoy them.

This week, I highly suggest reading Asad Haider's "Critical Confusion" where he takes aim at the conservative criticisms of what they call 'post-modernism.' This term is sloppily used so it encompass completely incompatible ideas and thinkers. Haider shows this well. After that Doug Henwood has some timely, if not difficult, analysis of the present moment. Lastly, a piece by Babara J. Fields (the author of Racecraft) & Adam Rothman in Dissent outlines strategies that the Left will need to grapple with to end police brutality & capitalist exploitation.

Thank you all again.
